READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
On the heels of his recent exclusive interview with Richie Incognito, and with the NFL's perceived bullying epidemic continuing to polarize the nation, on Tuesday evening FOX Sports' Jay Glazer joined "Piers Morgan Live" with his insights from an exchange that dominated the weekend's news cycle.
After speaking on-camera with the sports journalist, Incognito then shared the collection of text messages he's exchanged with former teammate Jonathan Martin, then man who's alleging claims of bullying, and has obtained legal representation since walking away from football.
"'The world's gone crazy, lol,'" remembered Glazer, sharing one of Martin's message with Piers Morgan.
In covering an incident that took place primarily behind closed doors, Glazer admitted that there can be challenges, particulalry in uncovering an accurate and unbiased account of events:
"The problem as a journalist, my job is to try to find out the facts. We want to try to find out what really happened, not what everybody close to Richie is saying, and not what everybody close to Jonathan is saying," explained Glazer. "We want to find out what's really gone on in there."
Amidst a culture that has become ultra-sensitive to mental health, and in the wake of mounting suicides following abuse, Tuesday's guest recognized the challenging nature of the current subject matter:
"It's a hot button topic, Piers. Anybody saying bullying, you know, it's hard to defend because people start acting like somebody condones bullying," he told Morgan. "We certainly don't. In locker rooms, nothing is off limits. They go after each other for everything."
