READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
As a fitting close to our hour-long tribute to all things weight loss, coming up at 9 fitness instructor and Flywheel co-founder Ruth Zukerman puts Piers Morgan through his paces, while a live studio audience giggles along.
“So, this is like a bike, right?” asks Morgan, clearly a stranger to physical exercise of any kind.
Zukerman, who has been a fitness instructor for more than 20 years, came up with the idea for the technology-added performance bikes in 2010, which allows the student to work smartly and effectively at a pace suited to their needs and abilities.
Clad in shirtsleeves sans tie, Morgan gives it a try, as Zuckerman shows him how to amp up the resistance:
“How many seconds will I have to keep doing this for?” asks an already slightly winded Morgan.
“About 30,” replies Zukerman, sensing that it may be 30 seconds too long for the host.
Always a good sport, Morgan continues to pedal valiantly, but concedes that this workout could be “pretty grueling.”
As the show comes to a close, Morgan notes that “luckily ... I don’t have to keep doing this.”
Watch the clip to see Morgan pedal for dear life, then tune in to CNN at 9 for the full hour entitled "Losing It: America’s Fat Obsession."

Morgan want don't you go back to your country. This is not your country and your working for a communist station.
The founder is still a nut job. My friends and I are "Boycotting" CCN and Morgan!!!!!
I sometimes search through international TV during time off of work and Thursday night I stumbled on SkySports2 broadcast of the Ashes cricket match, England vs Australia. And there was Piers Morgan challenging some Aussie bowler while he stood in what looked like a baseball batting cage with netting as a batsman protecting a wicket at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Piers was extremely brave as faced what looked like a pro bowler (similar to a pitcher in baseball who runs a long distance and then bowls overhand by bouncing the cricket ball in front of the batsman who is trying to protect the wicket from getting struck by the ball and knocking off the top pieces). Piers was very brave but showed no skill and was extremely over matched in this contest. Stick to your show on CNN, Piers. It suits you much better.
BTW, here's what the Aussie bowler that Piers faced can do to a batsman.
