"Piers Morgan Live, Rewind": Jack Dorsey on tech giants fighting spying and Twitter's rising stock price; mom of missing Nevada 10-year-old

As an answer to this, we offer the below labor of love – "Piers Morgan Live, Rewind" – dedicated and designed to getting you caught up and connected to the conversation.

  • Jack Dorsey on tech giants fighting spying: "We intend to defend the people"

As part of a day which saw some of the nation's top tech firms join forces in an effort to convince the government to curb spying activities, on Monday evening "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed Jack Dorsey, the man behind one of the very companies attached to a letter written to President Barack Obama and Congress.

The 37-year-old co-founder of Twitter, Dorsey offered an explanation as to why his company is involved:

"We intend to defend the people using the service and their voice, and make sure that that's protected and they have an understanding of who has access to the information," he told Piers Morgan. "The nice thing about Twitter though, is it is inherently public. It is something that people are saying out in the world and there's an understanding, a deep understanding, that when they Tweet something, the world sees it. And that's a very, very nice aspect of our service."

Watch the clip above as Jack Dorsey speaks to the importance of establish trust with those that use his product.

  • Jack Dorsey on Twitter's stock price: I don't pay attention

Roughly one month since Twitter became a publicly traded company, on Monday evening "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed the man behind the micro-blogging site, co-founder Jack Dorsey.

Welcoming the 37-year-old billionaire for a face to face interview, Piers Morgan noted the success of the service, revealing a record high stock price.

Dorsey neither knew nor cared:

"It's actually not something I pay attention to at all. You know, we have an entire company of brilliant people making the service every single day," he said.

A well-documented Twitter user, Morgan simply was unable to dismiss his guest without crunching some numbers:

"Now, you're the founder of Twitter," began the host, as Dorsey was forced to reveal the number of users who are following his @jack account.

With that figure at roughly 2.5 million, it brought Morgan great joy in announcing his own stats:

"Nearly double the founder of Twitter," declared the man behind @piersmorgan, in revealing his follower count of close to four million. "You've no idea how satisfying that is. If you want to follow me to add to my overwhelming majority over the founder of Twitter, I repeat that once more, it's @piersmorgan."

Proving to be a good sport, Dorsey played along:

"Another million right there."

  • Mom of missing Nevada 10-year-old: "That's my baby girl"

As temperatures drop to dangerously low levels in Northwest Nevada, on Monday night Piers Morgan spoke live with the mother of one of the four children missing after going outside to play in the show.

As the "Piers Morgan Live" host accurately described the situation as being "obviously every parent's nightmare," Amanda Fitzpatrick described the wide-ranging emotions she's currently feeling:

"Everybody has been very positive. It's been extremely hard. Probably the hardest 24-36 hours of my life," said the mom of missing 10-year-old Shelby Fitzpatrick. "It's my baby girl. But they've all been very positive. We've got the entire town of Lovelock, the entire county of Pershing County and even some help of outside counties with their search and rescue teams and everything like that."

Watch the above clip as Fitzpatrick further described the turn of events which left six people – including four children – in a dangerous, potentially life threatening, situation.
