What did the Winklevoss twins think of "The Social Network"?

Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss will be guests on tonight's "Piers Morgan Tonight" and the twins portrayed by one actor in the Oscar-nominated "The Social Network" talked about their take on the film. "He definitely, I thought, captured two distinct personalities," said Cameron.

"There was a relief when it was over that our story was told, and we were portrayed, what we believe was a positive light," said Tyler. But as for a conclusion, the twins aren't settled: "We don't think the story is fully told yet." The full interview airs tonight as part of "Piers Morgan Tonight" at 9pmET/PT, along with Michael Oher (who the movie "The Blind Side" was based on).

When is the colin firth interview going to be on. You can show the social network twins, love gurus and the blind side stories, but not an interview with the guy who will probably win the oscar for best actor at this years academy awards.

Peirs just showed how spineless and a suck up to powerful people he really is. Every interview in which his guest was a star he wilted, afraid to ask a question. Even the kardashians intimitadated this little Brit. Ah but put a couple of guys who are not on his kiss butt list and he brow beats them with "how much to settle with zuckerburg" no less than 15 times. Seriously? Piers get a . Did he ask Oprah one tough question....ONCE? No. Why? I hope I needn't explain any further.

        i absolutely agree!! i found him to be such a bully!! why is it a crime for privileged people to fight for justice? why was he going on & on about the money?? it was so painful to watch. Morgan thought he was being smart? well, he came out looking smug pathetic & bitter. He has no class at all.. he doesn't reflect the usual standard of CNN bcos he doesn't have the dignity or integrity like most;

Piers Morgan was totally obnoxious in that interview. He repeated the same irrelevant comments and questions over and over again. It became very frustrating. I came away from that interview with respect for the brothers, who were articulate and dignified, and decided last night was the last time I'll watch that clown Morgan's show. I agree with another commenter below - Morgan kisses up to celebrities, but since these guys aren't on the A-list, he thought he could bully them.

Most of these comments sound like they are made by the same 2 people!!!!! hahahaha There seems to be quite a personal attack on PM that repeats over and over and includes a lot of Brit bashing. I think the twins are angry blogging.
Boys, you were ill advisd to show your true selves on any one needs to make you 2 look dropped the did not create facebook.
Create something and carry through with your idea! Put all that energy to something good. After that interview I would be so surprised if you 2 do anything honorable with your lives......too bitter.
I saw you boys answer a lot of questions with nervous smiles and claims you dont know the answer. You tried to make it sound like it was your duty to sue but would not commit to donate any compensation to charity.
mmmmmmmm.....your true colors exposed.......greedy,silly,poor businessmen without paperwork!

I used to be afan of Piers Morgan. I think he should be removed as host of the previous Larry King Show. Larry King would never ask such pointed, repeated, nasty quesitons. There were 50 other things that come to mind to ask these young men. Like – do you feel the US Justice System is Fair?, What was your training really like for the Olympics? What has your experience been like at Harvard? What other interests do you have? What would you have changed about the movie "Social Network"? I was shocked at how mean spirited Piers Morgan was. Shame on him. I'll never watch the show again. People should refuse to be "guests" or "victims". That was crazy. Shame on CNN!

I'd like to add that I really would like to know more about the Winkelvoss gentlemen. I'd like to know what the rest of their educational paths will consist of. I would also like to know more about how they feel about betrayl of trust. Will they become lawyers? How did they become interested in their sport? What type of training do they have to's probably easier than resisting the temptation to slug PM. They were so well behaved in the interview w PM. They kept their composure beautifully. Will they go into politics? Good luck to the our wonderful Olympians. Please put your real story out there that is fact based and principal driven.

First and last time I'll watch his show. It seemed like he was in grade school, ie: come on tell me, please tell me, tell me! MOVE ON! It's obvious they aren't and most likely can't comment on how much, let it go!!! what an A**! CNN really messed up when they hired him to take Larry's spot. From the people I've spoken with, they're not tuning in either...they are loosing alot of viewers.

Piers Morgan a bully? No, just boring! How many times can he ask the same question?
I was excited about Piers Morgan taking over for Larry King. I've had time to listen to a few minutes here and there, but last night I heard him interview Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Morgan sounded like an envious little boy. These men deserve to have a chance to have their case heard. Morgan kept coming back to the amount of money they would accept. Yes, of course, they want money. But how about plain old justice.
He didn't seem to build a rapport with the brothers. I believe he is trying so hard to conduct a hard line interview, but it failed.

Hooray for Piers Morgan! Finally someone to stand up to these idiotic brats. How dare they talk about honor and justice ? What have the Winklevoss' done for anyone but themselves ever ? Infact their intent was to bully Zuckerburg into working on their inept concept that was never going to be globally successful. They are right.. they have a lot to lose, especially when they are blinded by their own greed and they have not shown any example of "doing what's right" which is the standard they want ot hold everyoneelse to especially Zuckerburg but not themselves. I am embarrassed that they graduated from Harvard- I hope the judge throws them out of court. Oh I forgot they buy judges don't they.

So. some friends in college come up with a great idea. Happens hundreds of times across the country. This is not exclusive to 'Harvard Yard".
Everyone has a great chocolate cookie recipe yes?
So, Famous Amos took the idea and made something of himself and the friends and family he consulted with to come up with the recipe didn't sue.
Poor twins are jealous that a single, average looking chum took their shared idea and made billions! In the end looking as fools on nationwide television.

Yes, please tell us when the Colin Firth interview will be on... Don't care to see Donny Deutsch give love advice... I'm in the advertising business and he's an idiot! Also, Piers... please stop asking people how much money they make. It is rude and stupid. It is the only thing I don't like about you. Stop obsessing about money, just because you're in America now. Please!

I just watched the show today... I must say that I don't know why CNN has given this man a show. He is a bully and he's telling the twins that they will be boring if they don't say an amount they want to settle with Mark. Pierce is the one that makes a person not want to watch the interview, why didn't he just get over it when they said they didn't want to answer the question. Won't watch his show again unless he changes his tactics, Where is Larry King?

Thanks to many of you for calling Piers out on not being an active listener. I like this show, and he has had provocative questions, but he cannot become the bulldog he referenced from Harvard business. If a producer reads this, my question for Trump is: Do you send your own Tweets or do you dictate them to an assistant? Piers is a master of Twitter.

I watch every night and was really annoyed that he kept badgering the Winkelvoss twins about how much money they want to settle. He wouldn't let them finish a complete thought. It was a rushed and rude interview and I'm surprised they didn't walk out. They are a class act and he crossed the line. The fact he didn't have the decency to respect the fact that they would not answer the question was crossing the line.

I found this thread by typing "Piers Morgan constantly interrupts guess", after watching the Winklevoss "interview". I've been extremely irritated by any of the interviews I've seen, but tonight had to be the worst one. I think he needs Bill Maher on the show to set him straight… I'm pretty sure he would “tell him like it is”…

I remember Larry King once saying that the secret to his longevity was that he always let the guess speak, recognizing that the show was about his guess, not about him. I’m starting to miss his erratic questions… We could at least hear the answers…

Piers... we don't care to hear your opinion about everything. But if you insist, at least have the decency to let your guess complete their sentences.

I watched for the first time tonight and will never watch this stupid program again. I wonder if Piers knows how he presents.: boorish, ignorant, unsophisticated, less educated than his guests, lacking in any semblance of decorum, and even obnoxious at turns. The twins were complete gentlemen, and he could have learned some manners from them. He certainly rubs me the wrong way. I would love to see someone correct his manners every time he is out of line. That's the kind of guest he needs, in order to grow as a person. I would have no patience whatsoever for him.

Wow.. Tried to watch this episode tonight.. I can't believe how Piers Morgan can't stop yammering long enough to hear answers to the questions he asked. He asks a question, the guys get part way through an answer and he jumps in and starts rambling on and on.. or arguing what they're saying or simply just talking to hear his own voice. I realize they might not have answered all questions very well (like not admitting they're suing for the money).. but holy cow, he is seriously a bad interviewer if he can't let the people answer questions. Why not just have an editorial/opinion show and not have people on if you're not going to listen to them! :/

It's so annoying and disruptive for the viewer to hear Pierce interupt the guests constantly...

Just watching the Winklevoss interview. I have watched a few interviews with Morgan. When are these interviewers going to understand that we are not interested in hearing what they have to say but instead, what the guests have to say. Morgan constantly interrupts. I watch interview shows to hear what the guests have to say, not the interviewers. Why doesn't Morgan just have himself as a guest so he could not only ask all of the questions but give all of the answers. If you put a clock on who talked more I think Morgan would win by 4:1. It would save a lot of money.

The Winklevoss men have only just begun....If their lawyers are worth anything they will take that settlement and turn it one its head...Piers, get a grip...You keep asking how much did the players get as if that's the litmus test for the success of the overall project which as the guys said includes "process" as well...Really, Piers, stealing ideas is NOT success...You would do the rest of us a favor to acknowledge these realities.....Stop with the good looking, how bad are your lives then with 65 if that's what the foundmental contribution to generations to come...Stop with their privileged background nonsense...and Piers do your homework, the research...that you didn't know their background is quite ridiculous....In my opinion, I hope the Winklevoss' not only get their own company back from the settlement..I hope the case is won on the basis of a "stolen" idea...Not this obsured thought that Zuckerberg came up with a better idea....the idea, though well along in its development by the Winklevoss' oh course it wasn't complete...that Zuckerberger stole the idea and added to what anyone whose ever come up with an original thought knows is not a complete idea until the originators finish it...Zuckerberber swooped in and stole it 3/4rd's of the way through...Respect that???? The twins were only going to use Mark to get their idea going and then were going to stab him in the back! They are spoiled kids who always got things their way and for once in their lives they were outdone and out smarted. Nobody was their to bail them out of this unfortunate event. Get over it; you don't always get things your way. I cannot stand the "well-to-do" social group who have always been handed more opportunity than the rest of us. Take your money and go out and do great things like you apparently already did with facebook. The best you could come up with is another social media site....come on!! That's like edison coming up with a 40 watt light bulb after he already invented the 60 watt bulb and calling it a GREAT idea. Get over yourselfs, you lost this time.

Piers was too biased tonight. I think he has a misunderstanding of the law and I felt was very unfair to his guests. They needed a corporate contract lawyer on the program with the twins to explain the law. I also think being English does not help. Justice in England is elusive and many people do not bother with it, hence his dismissal of it. He clearly thought the twins should not bother continuing with their case. This is what intellectual property is all about! What if Piers wrote a book and someone stole it and put their name on it before it was published? I do not think he would be happy, particularly if it was a bestseller.

No one mentioned that Mark Zuckerberg nearly got kicked out of Harvard for stealing students' personal data.

We GET that he is trying to point out that The Winkelvosses are handsome and wealthy. We get it. SHUT UP and let them speak. He did the same thing to Dan Rather AND even interrupted Oprah. I am watching the Winklevoss interview and turned it off 20 minutes in because he wont let them answer and basically is answering the questions for him based upon the research he has. They are currently trying to tell him they didnt get 60 million in cash, and he never let them answer. I dont like them, but I actually felt sorry for them for not getting to tell their side of the story. I am sure its hard enough to be on tv talking about one of the most popular people on the planet. Piers Morgan talked through every one of their answers. He interrupted them consistently. We didn't get to hear the twins finish a sentence or a thought. It was quite annoying. Is Piers Morgan's interview style supposed to be "confrontational" because even if it is styled as such it came off as just plain annoying. We heard much more from him than we did from the twins. I don't think that's how an interview is supposed to work. The twins were just a sounding board for his spouting off. Why have them there if you answer every question for them.

      I agree with every word.

Finally, Piers had a guest I wanted to see. Unfortunately (as I've read he's done with other guests) he talked over the Winkelvoss twins.

More irritatingly, he kept coming back to "are we supposed to feel sorry for you?" I am not sure if this was Piers' subconscious coming through, giving him a chance to compliment them on their good looks and fit bodies, but regardless of his motivation it was annoying, redundant, and immature. Did you not understand their answer the first time? They wanted justice. Your inability to accept this as a satisfactory answer speaks to your character, or lack thereof.

Haha. I think you are absolutely right. I rewatched parts of the interview and it does seem that Piers is really asking these questions from his own inner self. He kept asking about how many women they get and commented on how good looking them are, then he focuses on "do you think anyone really feels sorry for you"? Yes, it seems that Piers focused his own deep insecurities in a negative way on the Winklevoss twins.

The winklevoss twins didn't have any respect for mark zuckerberg; they were high on themselves and "their" facebook idea was another way they could feed their egos! They looked down on Mark Zuckerberg socially and were looking to use him as a doormat for their own personal success. If he would have helped them create the Harvard Connection they would have turned around and stabbed him in the back. Mark simply outsmarted the twins and its hard for them to swollow because they are used to getting everything they want in life like so many other "well-to-do" people/families.

Wow, Piers Morgan was asking the Winklevosses twins a constant steam of irrelevant questions. This man lacks substance because he fails to see the bigger problems the twins are attempting to address. Instead Mr. Morgan is asking questions that everyone knows the twins would be crazy to answer, for instance "what is the exact or estimate dollar figure that you both would settle for?". Furthermore, I agree with the numerous comments on this story of Mr. Morgans constant interruptions. As a contrast, Larry King had the respect and patience to wait for a complete response from his guests and would use those answers to build his next questions, while Mr. Morgan is chaotic, childish, and very frustrating to watch.

I agree with all the previous posts regarding Piers Morgan's below standard interview skills. We are not interested in watching him interrupt his guests mid sentence. It is difficult for the viewer to listen to the program in this manner and is disrespectful for his guests. It appeared tonight, Piers immediately chose a position with the twins and didn't allow them to defend themselves. Piers eluded many times to how attractive they were and that they should be content with their settlement. It was an absurd argument. If they were in fact wronged by Zuckerberg, their appearance should have no bearing on their legal case. Please........give Piers a lesson to improve his interviewing skills or many people are going to stop watching his program .

I am in agreement with the overwhelming majority of the comments above (and no doubt will continue below).

I have tried hard to like Piers and have watched most of his interviews so far, but tonight was ridiculous.
Piers was condescending and pompous. It seemed to me like he was doing his level best to discredit these guys and make light of justice and matters of principle.

The interrupting was already getting to me and also the need to be talking rather than listening.
One of the reasons Larry King was so great was because he believed he could learn something from anyone. When he asked questions, he genuinely wanted to hear the answer – and then he listened! He treated every guest the same way – with respect.

Not so with Piers. Tonight he was so confrontational it was offensive. Last week with the Kardashians he was basically flirting.

CNN's reputation is at risk of being damaged if this continues. We do not want a tabloid type program in this time slot.
I hope someone at CNN is reading these comments!

Morgan ask your question and WAIT for them to answer it!!!!CNN hire somone that knows what their doing!!! Morgan suggests that because the twins were born into a family of wealth that money is not an issue and they should simply stop and go away. Not so Mr. Morgan. They had an idea tried to realize it only to have it stolen. The brothers are examples of what we hope children of wealth should do. Make their OWN money! I fully support their fight and hope they get everything that is rightfully theirs!!!

I've read all these comments about Piers' interviewing style. I don't at all agree, Piers moves the conversation along, given the allowable time between commercials. Plus, the twins have nothing to say but same old same old.
What was missing from the interview is this: Was there anything in writing between the twins and Zuckerberg? I don't know that there was. If so, they probably had no legal case. Why was there the settlement? According to the movie, to avoid bad PR at the time Facebook was taking off. So what is the twins' complaint? Not all the blather about "justice" but rather their contention that at the time of the settlement the value of the stock shares was misrepresented. That's all the current lawsuit is about. If the Winklevoss's had focused more on that, they would have looked better rather than playing the screwed party back in the Harvard days. If Piers had focused more on the truly unsustainable nature of their original case and the real reason for the settlement, and now the reasons for the current contest, he would have come across as more knowledgeable and penetrating an interviewer. All in all, I don't fault Piers' interviewing style as much as I fault him for not focusing on the real issues. Despite his style, he let the boys off easy.

He kept interrupting the guests and asked them stupid questions! As if the twins were gonna tell him how much money they will be willing to settle for! "Why shound we feel sorry for you?" What kind of a question is that? He just could not grasp that what they were doing was a matter of principle. Clearly, Piers has none.

Thanks Sue 🙂 you Nailed it. This being my first time to blog on CNN, was difficult and I saw your comment. Perfectly said, after Larry King- what are the executives thinking?? Who would ever want to be interviewed by Piers Morgan?
Interruption, after interruption- guests cannot complete a sentence let along a thought. Are we looking at ADD watching Mr. Morgan. It looks like many agree- As a past viewer (past??) of 6:00 p.m. PST show on CNN, I will not be returning. I want to hear what the guest, feels, thinks, says without constant interruptions. The Winkleboss twins were tortured as well as the viewers.

Why do we keep hiring these foreigners when Americans can do the job better? CNN has so many good people that could have taken that spot. You can never replace Larry King who was a master of his trade and genuinely cared for most of the people he interviewed. It is just to frustrating to watch Piers Morgan and how he is treating his guests. I will not be watching any longer.

It's odd to me that Morgan doesn't seem to understand that their motivation doesn't have to be either the principle OR the money; it can be both. If someone stole an idea from me and made billions, I'd want both justice AND money, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Is it just me or is Piers Morgan becoming more and more obnoxious and annoying? He asks the same question, over and over, and misses the point. Just because a person is financially comfortable/stable, doesn't mean that they shouldn't pursue avenues, which may, reach an end where there's more money to be had. The questions were not interesting, and his comments were borderline senseless. He needs a hard beating from his producers and by CNN.

Piers Morgan is SO ARROGANT he loves to hear himself talk and his CONTINUED INTERRUPTIONS are disrespectful and show his total lack of experience to do this job – he really is not good. Maybe he can go work with at The Factor with Bill since he loves to interrupt even the president of the United States. Piers Morgan is just not a good interviewer like Joy Behr or Larry King or Anderson Cooper – but if you keep him... TELL HIM TO STOP INTERRUPTING!!!

What a horrible interview with the Winklevosses!!! Questions like, "What are you, one trick wonders?" or "How sorry should we feel for you?" by Piers were extraordinarily inappropriate - not to mention lacking in logic or decency. The argument isn't, "You were born with opportunity and received a favorable settlement, so you should be happy and move on." Either they have a point based on the merrits of the case or they don't. The fact that they are wealthy or anything else is irrelevant! What a frustratingly poor line of questioning. Honestly, it is embarrasing for you to obsess with their appearance, wealth or romantic lives.

Bravo to the twins for remaining in good humor and polite - and sticking to clear messages - despite constant interruptions and unbelievable rudeness.

I really wanted to like you Piers, but I'm sorry, you COMPLETELY blew the interview. I'm definitely not tuning in any time soon.

We really enjoyed the first couple of shows – with Oprah and Stern, but then it went progressively downhill. The reason the first shows were good was Piers Morgan was respectful and listening to his guests – guests who know the business and are interviewers themselves. One could say he was intimidated by Oprah and Stern. There was no way he could interrupt or bully them, like he does now with his guests. The guests now never get to finish their sentence. You don't need to be a bully to be a good interviewer or to produce a great show. CNN should not associate itself with such a classless act.

Piers, I have been watching you since your first night. Why don't you want to hear the answers to the questions you ask? Why is listening to your own voice so much more interesting to you than your guests? You constantly speak while your guests attempt to answer your questions. When you had the 4 poster girl women on the other night, there was a point where you had everyone answering at the same time, and you instead of trying to get any one of them to be heard, actually went on with your own story of something in your life for close to what seemed like a minute, and the entire time, not one of you appeared to be listening. You just seemed to speak the loudest. Why host a show? Why is CNN keeping you? P.S. Your guests are great. It would be great to hear what they have to say. Keep this up, and I am switching to HLN during your hour. Don't you want me to stay your viewer?

Piers Morgan's interviewing style (using the term loosely) is reminiscent of Geraldo Rivera. He asks questions and interrupts guests and at the end of the show you feel ripped off because there was an opportunity to have listened to someones story but instead you watched Piers/Geraldo trying to make a career as a sensational (sensationalist) journalist. I wish someone at CNN would inform him that people are watching to listen to the guest not to Piers Morgan. I won't put myself through that frustration and disappointment again. I'm done with the one man "Piers Morgan" show.

I like Piers very much. he is "incisive", doesn't bat the ball around. His style is efficient and to the point. He is not running ET Tonight. I love Larry King, a great, great man. Truly. I want Piers now to have those years upon decades of interviewing everyone in the world, and to acquire that similar patina. So he cuts off stupid answers that are usually evasive, anyway. Someone earlier commented that Piers interrups his guests "train of thought", I would say, rather, that he doesn't let them off the hook.

Sorry must have missed those "analytical, clear thinking" questions. And I am wondering, if he some how telepathically knows what they are going to answer by constantly bombarding with the same exact question at least 20 times. You think THAT is sharply focused? I ask you if he cuts them off because he KNOWS their answers are bad, then why on earth is he interviewing anyone? If he only wants to hear what HE wants to be said (have you heard of passive aggressive?) he should host ET. I call his style, hanging on by his fingernails. He cant build on his interviews intellectually because he doesn’t let them give an answer so he wings it and tries his hardest to ruffle their feathers to get some type of subversive reactions. His sleazy style of journalistic interviews are indicative of cheap tabloids. Just because he talks fast and wears a suit and talks with an accent does not disguise his real roots.

Tell me what pointed question did he ask? Give 1 example. How much money do you want to go away? Umh, How about this one,? You got looks, you go to IL schools, you get girls, how much money do you want? This one? I want to end this, I am the mediator, just tell me how much money will it take?

Come on James! TELL ME, HOW MUCH MONEY DO THOSE BOYS WANT????? Oh wait, this one: You get girls? You got girls right? Your handsome boys, you have wealth how much money do you actually want? Yeah James, I call THOSE "incisive" ! To a monkey maybe....Wondering if you invented something and one of your "partners" stole it and made billions what you would do?

Did you hear their family WORKED for their money? Oh wait, you couldn't hear what they said because Morgan knew the answer was bad so he interrupted them and talked over them to ask another clear thinking question like: How much money do you really want? OR maybe this analytical one? Come on, tell how much money are you going for? Get the ANNOYING POINT? I guess not, all that made you understand about IL colleges and congress……, so, so dull

Let me be the 155th comment to reiterate the same: Piers Morgan either needs to leave or revamp. Besides not letting his quests answer questions, his interview of the Winklevoss twins was extremely patronizing. Piers Morgan belittled the twins' legal battle by repeatedly harassing them about how much money it would take to drop the lawsuit. Reminding these guests that because they are good looking and wealthy should be a reason to walk away from their legal claim was an attempt to be cute with the audience- however it came away as cynical and empty of useful interview content. If there was no merit in their case, they would not have been able to win $65,000,000 in the first place. He missed an opportunity to gauge the real issues in the case.

Well i was going to go on and on with a rant about how disrespectful Morgan is to his interviewees. But, I decided it would be very similar to how many times he said the word "money" through out this first interview tonight. This aberration of an "interview" put me very much in mind of Fox's Bill O'Reilley/Obama "interview".

Was he asking thought provoking questions or just provoking? (I am sure an "ole journalism" trick) Who wants to listen to interviews where it is the questioner getting all the attention, or actually in Morgan's case BEGGING for it? There is not one interview so far where he has not draw attention to himself. Do we say here, that he's trying WAY too hard or, he is just inexperienced? I could care less you were a journalist for 20 years. (If he were any good he’d still be at it).

Take a breath Morgan and LISTEN, let your audience draw their own conclusions. That is, if they can hear over your LOUD, non-bantering voice. But of course, we’re just Americans we aren’t sophisticated enough to understand. Come on ,Morgan tell us how much money you want, so YOU will just go away?

Take a clue from Frost, Griffin, Cavett and maybe even Hey! By the way Morgan this interview should not have been a defense of a criminal, but a story about morals, what’s the RIGHT thing to do, and personal integrity. NOT MONEY. You sure got slapped down when they came from coal mining family, but you did not pursue that bit .
Provoking and repeating puts people off Morgan (you know, a journalism trick). They don’t want to answer questions they are put on the defensive and you effectually ended your interview. Wait! I forgot u know this because u were a journalist.

PS The British do not have a monopoly on satire/sarcasms, but they do have it in rudeness, but you’re right, we just don’t get it, we’re Americans.=Saw you being interviewed on other talk shows to promote yours and I am so sad those American interviewers gave you the respect to finish a sentence or even a thought. Although you had nothing to say, but I do remember you saying you hoped you lived up to L. King. As the new term going around I will use now=FAIL!
Whoops sorry, I ranted…but you can understand that sarcasm right? I wonder how many pounds you are making off of us Americans???? Get that sarcasm? DOn't think we are so nieve just READ all of the above. Hope u get/or got Trumped in your next show.

Morgan even had the balls to interrupt Anthony Hopkins (near his own kind)! Even he was good heartedly taken a back yet showed grace like these 2 boys did. PATHETIC

I am so amazed Piers himself had NOTHING to say in his own defense. It is however the right thing for him to do at this point. At the end of the day it is the simplicity of the American audience being undermined. Piers is simply copying other British programs such as Hard talk or similar programs. He's trying to make a mélange of ideas and give it his twist BUT after someone like Mr. king it takes an extremely intelligent, confident and a GENUIN person to fill the space. piers, How Much money do you think each one of those attributes are worth? And how much Of each do you think you have? I think you and CNN OVER estimated you.

No sense beating a dead horse…Mr. Morgan is definitely in need of a primer on interviewing for American audiences! The only thing worse than a guest without a story (which is NOT the case for the twins) is a disrespectful host…whether they are on your television or in your living room. Larry King was totally biased toward Israel and (at times) allowed this to "inform" his behavior, but at least Larry let (most) of his guests finish their sentences. Morgan needs to mind his manners!

A note to Piers: a BASIC part of any decent interview is LISTENING skills & the ability NOT to be PRESUMPTUOUS Neither of which you did here. I would've been better off watching Fox News interviewing these young men.

Watched the interview too or most of it and agree Piers as an ill-mannered interrupter obsessed about money which is why I didn't watch the entire interview. His constant interruptions were annoying. I too have been waiting to the Colin Firth and The King's Speech chat. Hope he was better mannered there, it not don't expect I'll be watching this show much more than tomorrow.

Morgan is SOOOO ANNOYING. I gave him a chance but now I am done watching. He is the worst interviewer I have ever seen. He keeps interepting his guests and he keeps on asking the same question over and over again hoping for a different answer to the point were it is so painful to watch. The most obsured argument he made with the Winklevoss that if somebody robs you of millions of dollors, then it is OK because you have enough money left. So obsured.
Asking them over and over and over again how much they want, made me want to punch him so bad. They want what they deserve Piers. It is appaling to suggest otherwise. I miss Lary King.

Checked back in on this blog this morning. Seems like 99.9 % of the comments all agree that PM must go, and I do too. Curious, could CNN legally replace him this soon ? I would much rather see Joy Behr in this position than him.
Does anyone know if CNN reads this blog while the show is going on ? I thought PM calmed down some after the twins interview.

I watched Piers show for the first time w/the Winklevoss interview, and had looked forward to it. It was a huge disappointment. One of the worst interviewers I've ever seen. Stupid, irrelevant questions, constant interruption, no understanding of business, finances, the legal system or much of anything else. In Piers world, the legal system does not apply to people that have all their fingers and toes and can get along in the world. Instead, the Winklevoss's are supposed to suck it up and go out and come up w/another multi-billion $$ idea. Piers is an idiot and I won't watch his show again.

Well said, BKB. It could have been an iinformative interview, but Morgan has no clue about the topics you mention. Last night was also my last time watching his show. Those brothers showed a lot of class putting up with Morgan's constant interruptions and irrelevant questions.

Enough. Enough already. I wanted to watch. I TRIED to watch. But, alas, it's just too painful. Piers, for crying out in the night, STOP INTERRUPTING YOUR GUESTS. You've had some great guests that I would have watched for an hour non-stop, TWICE, if they could have gotten a word in edgewise. Sorry, but constantly interrupting a guest just makes you come across as pompous horses ass.

I would watch if you would listen.

I thought that PM was going to be a good replacement for Larry. Boy, was I wrong. Last night's interview was painful to watch. I give the twins a lot of credit for not getting up and walking away from that interview (if that's want you want to call it). PM couldn't have been ruder. And as so many people have commented, his interruptions were unacceptable. PM should make a public apology. I've watched faithfully every night – but after last night, I will never be tuning in again.

I just read many of the comments already posted about Piers Morgan in general and the Winklevoss interview in particular and I agree with all those who believe that Piers has proven himself inadequate to the challenge of taking over this format. He is trying hard to be an effective interviewer, but instead is an aggressive bully who totally misses the points being made by his guests. The brothers were remarkably poised in attempting to convey their rationale for pursuing legal action against Zuckerberg. Morgan interrupts too much–any is too much-talks too fast, asks specious questions and is obviously more interested in being clever, at which he fails, than in eliciting fully formed responses from his guests. Try again, CNN.

An interview should be about the guests and the story, not about the person conducting the interview. Watching it actually made me angry, for all the reasons listed by others here. I have always thought that CNN maintained higher standards. Apparently not if they allow this bully to keep his job. I for one will not be watching any more.

The twins have no case, at all... they had the idea to keep the website exclusive to their school, the whole reason facebook is making so much money is because Zuckerberg did the exact opposite. All they are trying to do is make as much money off of it as they possibly can, and they've already made more money than most people will in a lifetime, nobody cares anymore.

Watching your interview was very disturbing to both my mother and I, and we chose to turn it off after a few minutes of watching. Regardless of our opinion about the Winklevoss twins, we were extremely disappointed in your belligerent and disrespectful behavior. No one deserves to be mocked and interrupted in any situation, but especially as a guest of a television host. We hope you rethink your and apologize for your inappropriate behavior.

An apology is the very least he should do. Maybe he should schedule another interview, IF they would consent to come back on, and give them the intelligent respectful discourse that they deserve and so aptly could have done- – if he had asked the questions we all wanted to know the answers to.

The interview by Piers Morgan of the twins on their concept of social network was absolutely abnoxious. He kept interrupting both of them continually – very very discourteous. He also asked them to provide a figure for what they would settle for from Zucherman at least 10 times and even after the gentlemen – and they were gentlemen – says they would not answer the question. What a ridiculous interview. He is quite a bully and he is going to get his come-uppance when someone comes across the table to him for his bullying tactics or HE GETS FIRED from CNN.

These twins are incredible. They had the inception of an idea, contributed no money, no ideas, no development, no blood-sweat-and-tears. They did not envision it beyond a Havard hook-up site. Yet, they believe that they deserve more than 65M... probably wanting 1B. Would they even care had their idea had gone nowhere? or if Mark had put hours and years into the development but made no money? I think not. They're are over privileged brats who have made a career on the backs of others... as probably did their fore-fathers. If there is any karma in the world they will get less than nothing for their greed.

If Morgan is going to interview his guests, he should at least give them an opportunity to answer his questions. During the Winklevoss interview, Morgan moves on to the next question in the midst hearing the answer to the previous question. He interupted his guests countless times as they tried to explain their point of view and stand on the situation. That is not an invertivew. Morgan acted like an anxious child, not listening at all to what was being said, but just forgiing on absorved in himself, not his guests. Hopefully this isn't the format of the show. We will know nothing more at the end of the program than we knew at the start about the guest(s).

The interview with the Winklevoss twins left a lot to be desired. Piers interrupted constantly, didn't let either twin finish their sentences. He seemed one-sided and not truly journalistic. He would ask a question but not let them answer it. Piers seemed as if he were out to take aim on at what he thought might be the 'good old boys club', in other words he almost seemed resentful of what priveledge and money these young men had. My husband and I were very put off by his interview. Piers was obnoxious and not enjoyable to watch.

I concur with ALL of the negative press that the Piers Morgan show is justifiably receiving. I was a fan of Piers when he first started this show and was going to give him a chance. I am sensing his ongoing confidence problem- – asking Oprah at the end of the show 'how did I do?' – – even she could not conceal her shock at the question. Now tonight acting like a spoiled teenager with a grudge. I am OUTRAGED at the constantly interrupting, condescending, disrespectful, bullying tactic that he took with the Winklevoss twins. They showed tremendous patience and mature civility with an outright boorish interviewer who showed neither. I agree that they should have walked out and left him sitting there asking his repeated question- -to himself! They are intelligent, well spoken, far above the average role models, and the best example of our most productive youth, yet he dissed them like all they are is 'gold diggers'. They certainly do have a right to compensation by our justice system for being wronged 'in principle' - – not to mention a chance for their case to be heard on his venue. If they say that there is more to the issue than the 'price' then that is the subject line that Piers should have followed- – -not badgering them over and over about 'the price'. Piers obviously had a preconceived negative bias against them from the very beginning and he should have recused himself! He has gotten far too childish and rude for me. I am 62 and I know when ratings and spectacle is more important to the interviewer than a good solid informative interview. I don't watch Jerry Springer and his ilk either.

I am done watching Piers Morgan. Piers does not live up to the "prepping" of his potential audience that the interviews would be "dangerous", exciting, etc. blah, blah, blah. I just finished watching the interview with Cameron & Tyler Winklevoss and became so frustrated with Piers. He absolutely cannot let his guests finish a sentence because he is so busy mentally getting onto the next "dangerous" question. I feel anxiuos watching Piers as he appears nervous, amateurish, insecure and arrogant and I feel his guests must feel this in some way. The only thing I like about the show are some of the guests and the theme music. I believe that Condelezza Rice became extremely frustrated with his questions and the fact she was not able to finish responding to those questions. It's like Piers is so anxious and needy to shock the audience that he embarrases himself. He conducts his show like a "reality show" in the sense as many of us have come to understand that are very tacky and for shock value. He should consider fitting in less information/questions, relax and eliminate the big rush to have us all believe he is a great interviewer............WRONG!

I watched CNN for the news and feel the network does a great job. However, CNN picked the wrong person for this job. My prediction is that this show won't last much longer. Once Piers is gone, and if this time slot remains open, CNN should consider some big time changes. Dear CNN, please have a host that talks much less and listens more and makes the interview experience comfortable for the guest and for the audience. If this is the case I might decide to give CNN another chance for this type of programming. I miss Larry. He was a wonderful interviewer. He got to the point, was direct & asked interesting questions which allowed the guests & the audience to feel comfortable with the process.

When I first heard Piers Morgan was taking over the Larry King spot, I was disappointed as I didn't have a great opinion of him (publicly bashed Madona in an embarassing way, etc.). I watched the interview with Oprah & Ricky Jervais and had concerns ie. question to Oprah, how did I do? – so insecure – but I was still willing to give him a chance. Until I watched the Winklevoss twins interview. That was the worst interview I have ever seen. I almost learned nothing about them because of his lack of intelligent questions and repeated stupid questions and incessant interruptions. They probably felt that going on the Piers Morgan Show was a big mistake. He was so childish, rude, and embarassing. I will never watch his show again. I was completely disgusted by his disrespect for the twins. Had he behaved so disrespectable to Oprah (instead of the excessive butt kissing he did for the entire interview) or to Ricky Jervais I wouldn't have made it to the Winklevoss interview. No more PM for me.

Piers, I really want to enjoy your interviews, but I'm begging you....PLEASE stop interupting your guests. You ask them a question and they get 5 words into their answer and you interupt them with a comment or another question. It makes watching your interviews distracting and it also doesn't allow for them to respond, which doesn't give the viewer a full interview, all we hear is your voice and not your guest.
Sitting in Larry Kings time slot is a big responsibility and they are big shoes to fill and right now your feet are simply too small.

I agree, Pierce probably did interrupt them too much, without letting them complete what they were saying, and that was very rude. I think Pierce was however, playing devil's advocate by asking them provocative questions, and trying to get them to look at the other side of the issue, to see if it is perhaps worth it to sue Facebook. I think though, that Pierce could also learn something from Larry King, who was a good listener, and a good talker and questioner, but only at the appropriate times in the interview. Important to have respect for your guests especially if they are younger – and I think Pierce was a little harsh and like someone suggested tried to outtalk them. I did find the interview interesting though. Until the movie came out, no one really knew who the Winkelvoss twins actually were, and the role they played in Facebook, as well as how they felt about being screwed over by Facebook owner, Mark Z. More power to them, for trying to puruse their dreams, as well. Maybe someday they will invent something better!

I watched Piers Morgan interview the Israeli Prime Minister this evening and whilst I concur that tough questions needed to be asked, and I am no particular supporter of the recent policies of the interview subject, I was deeply disturbed at the way they were posed. Having put difficult questions to the Prime Minister the role of the interviewer is to listen to the responses, not to interject with personal opinions. Nobody is watching this programme to hear what Mr Morgan would do to bring peace to the Middle East; frankly, he is no position to make anything more than superficial judgement in this regard. Viewers tune-in to observe the interviewer probe intelligently, in a way that creates space for responses from the interviewee in order to reveal underlying motives, personality traits and future directions. Somebody needs to tell Piers Morgan that he is not as important or relevant as his self-opinionated rudeness would seem to suggest he thinks he is. I get the impression that before too long people will vote with their remote controls. I for one will not be watching this 'interviewer' who conducts his show like the talent show judge he once was.
