Has he given any thought to the fact that not only is he ruining his life, career and reputation with this charade but what about his children? Lucky enough they are young and out of the picture but they will always know that their father went down in a swirling disaster for the whole world to see. Go home. Get straight and clean yourself up. Go gentle into that good night.

I am 100% with you Maria, I have lived as a caretaker for a very dear family member, and had I not stood up for him, went before a judge and got the control that my loved one was not able to have for himself, I would have long ago attended his funeral, for he, like Charlie ranted on and on just the same with pretty much the same wording and same crazed look in his eye, and sought self medication at every turn, After 5 years of diligent (and loving) care from myself and some very good doctors, my loved one today is a very happy healthy sober and contributing member of society and has made sober friends and developed healthy activities and endeavors, I am so thankful that I could help and that I found doctors that also could help, it saved a life for sure, it was really hard but it was so very very worth the efforts. Someone, anyone that loves Charlie, father, sibling, anyone, needs to step in and say enough is enough, I am so shocked that the media thinks this visible serious is so hilarious. It is nothing but truly sad.

I don't care much about this personal life. We don't need him to be a role model or anything like that (just his mothers' kids need to be concerned about this), but a great actor that gives me an hour or more of great laugh every day and that is alot to be gratreful for.
Why do you want talented people need to be perfect? Do you enjoy less the work of art of artists because they smoked, drank alot or cut off their ear?

Uh, the poem you're referencing is by Dylan Thomas, and it's about not dying. Going gentle into the good night is to die... wihtout a fight. You basically just told Mr. Sheen to drop dead.

I'm a 50 year old guy who's had a pretty normal, culturally influenced life. I'm sure that if the media followed me (or any of my friends for that matter) every moment of every day that we wouldn't come off looking any better than Mr Sheen. I don't believe he has a problem. I believe he has a lot of money and is having a lot of fun. We've seen evidence in our own popular culture that people tend to outgrow themselves eventually and most make it out just fine. Everyone has their own road to follow.

I completely agree with you Doug! He's a grown man that legally earned his own millions and it's his business what he does with it. If it's having a different hot woman in his bed every night of the week more power to him and I'm not aware of him having any drug charges on his record either.

Piers is interviewing Sheen tonight. Why? 99% of the viewers don't care one whit about Sheen and his spoiled-boy antics. Piers called it a "crisis". Nonsense, what's happening in Wisconsin is a crisis, it's huge, but Sheen? A piece of fluff in the wind.

Hoping this finds you both well. Charlie, I'm a huge fan, blessed to have been entertained by you in many roles. I remain on your side through out this attention a admire the brass you are feeling/showing. That being said however, I recognize in you a familiar persona that a close friend has been displaying for a few years. I recognize it as a cause from substance abuse. I'm not saying you are however that's how it is being displayed. Stay blessed bro and keeping you in my prayers.

First off it's a family comedy and eventually the sponsors would've dropped the show. Second IT'S NOT THAT FUNNY! He can't act, he's not acting on the show he's playing himself. The kid on Jon Cryer are funnier than him. People need to stop enabling him in his destructive behavior. It always matters when you're a celebrity what you do in your personal life. Whether you like it or not, it does. The difference between the show and real life is he's supposed to be ACTING. So now we assume all actors are their characters? So Natalie Portman is really a crazy ballet dancer? Or that Colin Firth is the King of England? C'mon...

I agree with Doug. Let the man live his life and spend his money and time as he sees fit. If the mother of his children feels that his influence over the children is having a negative impact then she has some choices to make. If he is hurting himself and/or those close to him then those people may have a responsibility to speak up one way or another. The rest of you need to get off your high horse, mind your own business and stop trying to tell this man how to live his life. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...

Maybe there are facts about hollywood back door politics BUT "healed in a week..." Charlie Sheen is in denial–his abject disregard for his own integrity and his objectification of women, his anti-Semetism are abhorrant–from the trailers of his sitcom, his character was a glorified version of his true life. He's delusional at the least and paranoid, hypomanic and/or narcissistic at baseline (that is with or without drugs).

You stated that he should be able to behave in way he likes and the show shouldn't have been cancelled based on his behavior. New Flash....His behavior is a sickness and it affects the show and everyone around him. His "behavior" is not some "fly by night" tantrum that he has once in a while....it is a SICKNESS that will kill him if he does not get help. The show "Two and a Half Men" did the right thing to cancel....or they could have done the show without him for awhile before canceling. Sooner of later his so called "behavior" would have led to self destructive acts on screen, not just off-screen. Canceling his show is what we in American call taking a responsible approach to Charlie's destructive behavior, instead of just seeing him as a cash cow and milking him for all he is worth until he eventually dies by some overdose. You obviously have no human emotion in you, no sense of responsibility, no sense of caring enough about the fans to understand that they don't want to see their favorite actor go down in flames, no sense of the fact a show has to take responsibility of their actors/actresses and staff....you don't seem to have any idea of what kind of sickness Charlie has as an addict, and that he needs help and to get away from tv for awhile. You are trying to just play into his delusional mindset that he is okay, he can do his show..he doesn't need a time out.

I wonder what made Charlie decide to play this out in the media? To me it seems to be making the whole problem worse. my ex was a cocaine addict for ten years...and the most prominent trait he had was constantly licking his lips with his tongue, exactly the same way charlie sheen did through the piers morgan interview. also, the weight loss and pallor of skin tells me mr. sheen is in denial. the problem with denial is only one thing down the pike... death for cocaine addicts. you'd think he would have more brains than to behave like an unruly child for the last 20 years or more and then allow a mind- altering drug to rule his behavior. ps: drug tests can be deceived..other than the hair drug test, which would show the coke immediately.

I think he is in major denial. Lets call in Dr. Drew or someone like that. I'm tired of hearing about him and I'm glad someone finally said NO to this guy. This is not his first go around. Get Help! So many great parts to this interview! At the moment my favorite is when Charlie says he hasn't spoken to his father because his father is out of the country! I nearly fell off my chair laughing, but didn't because it was so sad to see an active addict making an ass of himself, yet so sure, so certain he's a Winner, on top of it all, or in his own words "at the epicenter" of everything - in a good way of course! Hope his "Mercury Surfboard" brings him back to earth in one piece.

If CBS has such an issue with Charlie's lifestyle, why do they find it okay to make money on his character that's pretty much based on what they're saying he needs to clean up? He's constantly drinking on show, womanizing, some drug use, yet they tell him he needs to clean up and not do this in real life? I don't agree with that lifestyle but who are they to make millions airing this lifestyle but tell him he can't live it? Sounds a little hypocritical to me.

I'd just like to start by saying to Charlie that both my father John and I are enormous fans. Definitely the most outgoing show on television. The ratings speak for themselves that the show is awesome. Obviously Charlie has done a lot of things right throughout his life. His show is far beyond what Friends or Seinfeld was in the 90s and everyone knows it. With that being said why is it whenever someone famous does something wrong everyone looses their minds and decides to judge. I got news for you America.....your not all perfect, nor am I or anyone else. Everyone has done things wrong. I don't even know what the statistics are for alcoholism, drug abuse and affairs are in the United States but they are higher than ever. So everyone stop pointing your fingers at Charlie and let him live his life the way he chooses to. You only get one life so let him do what he wishes with it. Charlie Sheen is a new symbol of freedom and living life to the fullest in my opinion. God Bless Charlie Sheen. Good luck brother!

First of all, it wasn't MARTIN Sheen – it was CHARLIE Sheen. Second, he is hysterically funny on Two and A Half Men, Third, his body is still clearly coming off the drugs/alcohol. I pray he will stay clean and sober as he is an extremely talented man. Piers Morgan did a FANASTIC job interviewing him – he asked all the right questions and re-asked the question if he didn't get a good answer. Whatever Charlie does in his private life is HIS BUSINESS – NOT OURS. I want to see him happy and successful – his show brings laughter into so many homes – CBS needs to start filming again – period – end of story.

The man is clearly mentally ill, whether from doing drugs or some other disorder. From the look of it, with my untrained eye, he looks like he's in a full blown manic episode. There's this frightening intensity to him that you don't see in totally rational people.

And which part of his claim to have "new powers" seems perfectly normal and right to Piers Morgan. It's is one thing to be objective while interviewing. It is not funny. We are the ones who are paying your salary Charlie, if we did not watch, you would not have a show. As we sit in our "little homes", I for one will not be watching your shows until you get some help for your obvious manic state you are in now. I hope it is soon for your sake. Piers said to Charlie "You are alarmly normal." Wow! Charlie says that he is a "winner" and those who critisize him are "losers." The guy was so obviously messed up with an incredible arrogance, delusions of grandeur, and God or perfection complex (I can do no wrong so therefore I cannot learn anything from what I did in the past- good or bad). It sort of reminds me of Khadafi today saying "There are no riots. The people love me." In the same way, I would dare say that the vast majority of people think that Carlie Sheen's life and mind are confused and disordered. I think most of us would certainly do not want to be like him at all. Unfortunately Piers for some reason could not talk to him honestly, but actually acted as an enabler. He certainly retained his good friendship with Charlie, but a true friend would want to help him face his obvious problems to try to really help him. Yes, Charlie you are a "winner" and the people all love your exceptional mind.

I am sure it was a great score for Piers to get an interview with Charlie Sheen, but who cares? Charlie Sheen has nothing to say of any consequence and to quote my friend, " he is like watching a train wreck and who needs to see that over and over." He is clearly sick and for that I am sorry, but you are fueling the illness by giving him all this attention. You should stick to the programming unless you have a story of real consequence.

I wonder if Larry King would have interviewed him? CNN has crossed a line. Call him on that one. AA holds people hostage?/ Not at all. In fact, 21 yrs ago I was told, try it for 90 days and if you don't like what we have we will gladly refund your puke and misery.
I wonder how many people who need help have decided tonight they don't need any after all. Ah, CNN and Mr. Morgan–you have untold lives now that you have some accountability for.

Charlie Sheen isn't "alarmingly normal." Mr. Morgan. He's a messed up superstar with no boundaries, infatuated by himself, himself, himself. A previous commenter said he hasn't "hurt anyone." I guess all those network employees or the wives and children from his disastrous marriages don't count. Or his family relationships. Read the recent interview with Martin Sheen and you just want to cry for him and the pain he is feeling. I'm disappointed in Mr. Morgan's suck-up stance tonight. How pathetic for both host and guest. This is what destructive co-dependency is all about. First it was CBS propping up Sheen over the past year; now the media's joined the circus, adding absolutely nothing but destructiveness to a story that's far from over. Thoroughly disappointed in Mr. Morgan's suck-up stance tonight. How pathetic for both host and guest. This is what destructive co-dependency is all about.

Ya know I like Piers Morgan, but after tonight I will have to rethink that. This whole Charlie Sheen interview is so much a "BROWN NOSER" interview. All he is doing is telling Sheen how "Awesome" he is. Why should he think he has any kind of problem at all...when everyone around you has their nose so far up your rear end... of course you think you think you are a GOD. Charlie isn't responsible for any of the things going on.. it's everyone else who is at fault. Pathetic! Worthless interview!!!

Regarding Mr. Sheen's interview with Piers Morgan. Yes charlie the rest of the world are boring morons, who cannot fathom or appreciate your genuis. You should continue to make your drug suppliers rich and not so famous, you can no longer make millions of dollars in earnings, due of course to those idiots who employed you. AA are a bunch of losers, out to reduce you to one of the masses. You sir, continue to go down your road to oblivion, perhaps your druggies and or ladies of the nights will hold your hand in the end. As for kids, no big deal, I have five of them, I am certainly more interesting then they are, and their mothers just Wedge him in...Keep up the denial it serves you well..Charlie take A GOOD HARD LOOK IN A MIRROR, words fool only a fool who believes in his supremecy...keep drugging it will indeed make you most (distructive) creative....GL

He needs to be saved from himself, he's past rationalising what the consequences are for his children who will have to live with him the rest of their lives. Egomaniac with an inferiority complex? Charlie has decided to rely on himself because AA and other treatment options only have a small percentage of success (5% AA) This guy passes judgement on everyone/everything that has an interest in reaching out and trying to help him.

Charlie is just to smart, unique and not like all the losers out there that have amazing lives today because they made the "decision" to SURRENDER to WIN!

I will keep Charlie and family in my prayers.

I am sorry to see that even CNN will stoop to exploiting an obviously ill man like Charlie Sheen. He is clearly grandiose, and has flights of wild ideas that are being treated as if this is just ordinarly conversation with an eccentric. I think you are walking into an area for which your interviewers are not trained to handle. You are encouraging him by having this interview.

Charlie Sheen is not illusional. He is hypo manic. Before the average general public critizises him maybe they should do there homework. He has an illness, just like a diabetic needs insulin. He needs a mood stableizer. He is not the villan. He is not the enemy. The general public has no clue of what mental illness is. Substance abuse goes hand and hand with bipolar illness. Everyone knows that. Substance abuse and sleeping with beautiful women is not an illness. It is every married mans dreams. People are jealous of Charlie, because the people who are critizing him are all married and frustrated.

Question for Charlie (this will never make it through...): During the past few days, you have often times referred to CBS executives, Chuck Lorre, and others involved in Two and A Half men as losers and asked people to "debate" you on these claims. Yet CBS has been the #1 rated network in total viewer ship for several years and continues to be so. How can you justifiably call them losers when it is an indisputable fact (based on Nielsen Ratings), not opinion, that they are at the top of the television game, even without Two and a Half Men airing original episodes? By your own definition, aren't they "winning"?

Charlie Sheen is asking for support from his cast members. How has he earned support or respect from anyone? He has continually let down his cast members, fans, family, and friends. He has had no respect for them by not showing up for work, and constantly ending up in the media for his bad behavior. He is a narcissist who cares for no one but himself and has the perception that his value as an actor is much more than it actually is. As for Two and a Half Men, the show would do well without him. If he were written out somehow, the show would continue to be a success without a hitch. The other actors have worked to develop their characters and deserve to continue to be allowed to do so. Charlie Sheen, on the other hand, has remained the same character, a mirror image of his real life self. He needs to face his addictions and get the help that he needs. Until he admits he has a problem, he will not get any better.

Had to watch a little of Charlie's mentally unbalanced meandering on Piers Morgan tonight and was astounded at the severity of his delusional thinking. He's like Moammar Ghadafy without a military in saying: "The people love me!" Charlie has come unhinged. He embodies all that is tragic with those in denial while at the very crest of his grandiosity. Because he has become such a celebrity spokesperson for DENIAL, I find myself having to call a whacko a whacko. He does a great disservice not only to himself, but to all the other trainwrecks whose lives are also fueled by a fanatical compulsion to blame everybody else for their unacceptable behavior.

Listening to Charlie's interview tonight he said that the traditional drug rehab has only a 5% success rate. I've heard this before. In the scientific world if a treatment would show even 20% people would be amazed but there is a treatment that has success in the 70% range after 5 years. It is through Teen Challenge and the focus is on beginning a relationship with the one true God and the stats speak for themselves. I recommend CNN interview a Teen Challenge member during this time that Drug awareness is in the spotlight. With this success rate it shouldn't be ignored.

http://www.acadc.org/page/page/2495014.htm – Here is a study from this website with Teen Challenge, I think that stats speak for themselves.

A total of 186 persons were interviewed for this project, P1=70, P2=52, and P3=64. The P3 group of 64 represented 97% of the total population possible. The results of this survey clearly indicated the success of the Teen Challenge program in the following areas:

    * The Teen Challenge definition of "drug-free" means abstaining from all use of narcotics, marijuana, alcohol, and cigarettes. 67% of the graduates (P3) are drug-free as indicated by the urinalysis test. (86% stated they were drug-free on the questionnaire.)
    * 72% of the graduates (P3) continued their education upon completion of Teen Challenge. The areas include getting their G.E.D., or pursuing college level education.
    * 75% of the graduates (P3) indicated their current status as employed. 73% of the graduates are self-supporting by earning their own salary. Of those who are currently employed, 58% have been at their present job for over one year.
    * 87.5% of the graduates did not require additional treatment in drug treatment programs after leaving Teen Challenge. Over 90% considered themselves addicted to drugs before entering Teen Challenge.
    * 67% of the graduates are regularly attending church. 57% of the graduates are involved in church work.
    * 92% of the graduates (P3) report good-excellent health, whereas the numbers are significantly lower for the other two groups, P1=59% and P2=75%.

Thank you for giving an honest interview with Charlie Sheen. The news progams only showed sound bites all day and made Charlie look like a raving lunatic. I hope you stay clean Charlie. I love your show and hope they put you back on it.

On one point, I have to agree with Sheen, when he says it's so ridiculous that the media focuses so intently on him! I have never seen his work, but in this instance I think it's irrelevant. There are, for sure, millions of drug users in the entertainment business. Many of them get away with it and then there's Sheen, I think! It's sad to see someone on TV talking about themselves this way and in that condition. It's sad to see anyone we know in the "trap" of addiction. I am not sure why Piers had him on tonight...frankly, it does not concern me much. I learned nothing from it. But I like watching you Piers and your sweet way of interviewing. God bless Charlie...may he find peace. It doesn't look good right now, but if coming on your show, somehow helped great. Been thinking of Cory Haim today and how he didn't get a mention at the Oscars....he played the same game as Charlie, but he never made half the money or got away with it. The beast won in the end. Can you send me some of that money Charlie....that's all I would ask of you. To give is good, to be grateful for life is a blessing! Love from Canada/UK

I could not help but notice Charlie Sheen's mannerism's tonight on your show. It felt like I was watching my stepfather (who also battles drug addiction) trying to spark up a conversation and just take it to another level that anyone sober could not imagine. His mannerism's are that of a drug addict. In Charlie's terminology his thoughts and words appear to be far in left field. My guess is that he is struggling within himself to find who he really is. He will probably tell me I am worthless or that my opinion doesn't matter because I am not at the stature or level of life that he is but I can tell you from personal experience that he is hiding something painful and is scared to open up so he hides it with his glamour and glory because he can. Charlie show signs of everyone of my trailer trash family. A drug addict is a drug addict No matter how much money money you have. You can't hide all the time. Sooner or later it will come out. Attack it now before it is too late.

I love the "he's so obviously sick" talk – like you are qualified to talk. This is nothing more than a myopic man who tends to party hard. Get the guy back on tv, put the crew back to work and stop judging with your unqualified observations. CBS is a terrible company.

Piers = Sycophant!!! Not what we want to see from a top-notch interviewer in this era.

C'mon "the Che Guaverra of TV", TV "needs" Charlie Sheen –
    Really? REALLY?!?
2.5 Men is popular, but hardly "great", unmissable, laugh-out-loud TV..
I thought Piers was a boot-licker after his interview on the Oprah show (didn't he watch it later himself? I was embarrased FOR him).
His show tonight was high school jlevedl ournalist. "Charlie, I think you are so cool, the greatest! – no matter what the mean girls say."
This is the second time I watched this show – I won't bother again.

Charlie Sheen is in such denial and shame on Piers for putting this poor soul on national TV and playing along with his denial. I don't doubt that the "suits" involved with his show are at fault for much of what he says but they aren't the ones that are going before a national audience and saying he has no regrets about his cocaine addiction and speaking with almost comedic pride that he keeps drugs out of the house when his kids are with him. What a sad joke you currently are Charlie. You've hurt so many people. Clean yourself up and realize your potential.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would take this delusional high school drop-out actor seriously. He is in such denial.
What has he really done for mankind? He memorizes acting lines that are written by very creative talented writers and is overpaid by executives that have created him. He rants that he is above the little people that want to be like him? Is he calling his fans "the little people"? Get real, Charlie. No one will remember you twenty years from now. I, for one, am getting bored hearing about the druggies of Hollywood who usually end up in the obituary section.

It is quite clear that Charlie is exhibiting signs of mental illness, possibly bi-polar – his family needs to take charge of his life. Since he is clearly incapable to taking care of himself. How can you say you make1.8 million a show and that you haven't saved a dime of it! Many of his comments did not even make sence. Hopefully, he will be able to get help soon. His family should be able to go through the court system to achieve this. I pray for his recovery.

I think Charlie's "high as a kite". He took his drug test two days ago.....not today. I think he's also suffering from a mental illness that needs to be dealt with. He's obviously in denial. He should be replaced on the TV show....no one's indispensable! Charlie should admit himself into rehab for at least a year if not longer. Body language will tell you he's still under the influence of drugs whether they be legal or illegal.

I think it was a wonderful interview. Charlie is the most honest man in Hollywood. He isn't fake and what you see is what you get. Piers did a brilliant job of making Charlie feel comfortable enough to be himself. So much of the time actors seem unattainable in answering honestly. Charlie felt so approachable and human. No one is perfect and there isn't an instruction manual for life....each makes his own. The world isn't ready for your intellect Mr. Sheen. He will be fine, more than fine. Cheers! Even though I don't know you, thanks for sharing and for your vulnerability. Great interview.

I think Charlie is doing what he wants to do and is enjoying himself why doing it. The way the media portrays this shows how annoying and demanding the media is about other individuals or celebrities. I am all for doing what makes you happy and the way charlie gets down seems to me he doesnt have a care in the world. Also regarding Two and Half Men, they should give him his raise as he runs that whole show and it wouldnt be anything if it wasnt for Charlie. Charlie keep livin brah!!

Charlie Sheen is an addict whose behaving like one. The real issue is someone with a platform like Piers Morgan saying he'd like to go out and party with him. Piers, addiction is not a "lifestyle" issue as you called it, it's a disease as defined by the NIH. A matter of fact, the NIH will tell you it kills more people annually than heart disease and cancer combined. You're ignorant and dangerously uninformed.

    Break-through!
Imagine if we as people actually had power – Personal Power – power to make millions... even if a high-school drop-out.
Imagine if we did not have to submit to addiction but could pull ourselves out of it and move on successfully!
Regardless of one imagines, trouble lies ahead if one questions the status quo regarding things like AA, psychiatry (without blood or chemistry test to confirm diagnosis), vaccinations, the pharmaceutical racket or big bankers (financial terrorists?).
Imagine if people choose to step up to their full power, and take control of their lives.
Good on ya, Charlie Sheen. It takes a real man, with real courage to not just live happy-ever-after life with a good bank role, but to speak out, speak their truth (a right of Freedom of Speech regardless of issues), and even pose ‘20 questions for President Obama’. Oh my goodness, could that be why Charlie was being told to 'Shut up, sit down, and do as we say!'
Whatever, Charlie Sheen has created laughter in many lives, distracted others from doldrums and pulled people out of despair over the years of his work on TV. Charlie has shown people that we can take the curve-balls on life's journey, face our idiosyncrasies, and that honestly is a path of growth. Charlie has started an , awakening process, offers mentorship for others who want to also put on their ‘Cloak of Armor’, and start life again.
Charlie Sheen, thank you for publicly showing us that we can pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again. Here's to 2 1/2 Men and a better future for everyone.

Drugs are SUPPOSED to be illegal. Sheen has admitted to using cocaine. He says he "bangs 7 gram rocks" because that's how he rolls. How come he is not in jail? How come law enforcement is not even interested in where he bought the drugs....or where Lyndsey Lohan or Robert Downy, Jr., or any of these celebrities are getting their drugs? I'd like for him to answer if he thinks that he is above the law? He didn't buy the drugs in Kmart. He bought them from a drug dealer.

I am looking for some humility in Charlie Sheen and can't find any. I admit I watch and like Two and a Half Men, but I am now wondering who is the half man. Piers' questions were very good but he did not ask some other questions that would tell a bit more about Mr. Sheen and what kind of man he is. Does Charlie give to charities, does he donate time for other people, does he help little old ladies across the street, does he do anything humanitarian except take, take, take? I want to like Charlie but I need more info. about his other, non sound bite side. Also, by the way, Piers, since you support Charlie's free wheeling life including the "goddesses", would you mind if the "goddesses" babysat for you or a friend?
