On last night's "Piers Morgan Tonight", Piers Morgan interviewed Daniel Baldwin, a friend of Charlie Sheen as well as a recovering addict. "Soemthing really bad is probably going to happen," said Baldwin. "I'm hoping that maybe something, he has that moment of clarity that wakes him up. Maybe he sees himself in a monitor carrying on the way he is...I hope we don't lose our friend over it." He also offered to debate Sheen on the merits of the 12-Step Program and "then I'll yank a hair out of his head and have it DNA tested." Mackenzie Phillips, also a recovering addict, had harsh words for Sheen and those who enable him.
Piers also discussed the latest NPR controversy with conservative web mogul Andrew Breitbart and NPR Ombudsman Alicia Shepard. Here's a clip:

I had to turn off CNN again for the third day running after Piers Morgan started going on about Charlie Sheen AGAIN. Since when does CNN allow interviewers to dabble in tabloid crap? Very said to see the direction that producers are allowing CNN international take. CNN international is about international topics ...........isn't it? Please give us a break, if you want to keep broadcasting about a hollywood freak with a drug problem. Please keep it to the viewers that really give a [...] which I believe remain in the US.

The Piers Morgan show is disappointing & not at all the programming we all used to enjoy. Perhaps the time slot could be changed.
As far as Mackenzie Phillips, I'm very proud of her for her sobriety. As far as her having such a boisterous, non-forgiving opinion of Charlie Sheen, yes, he needs help. I personally think this young woman needs to have alot more time under her own belt before she so vicously growls at another addict. She's in no way ready to be a counselor-she was clean for a long time herself before-Judge Not, lest you'll be remembered VIVIDLY!
Ask people what's going on in Libya, North Korea, etc. Then ask them what Charlie's doing. Go figure why we have alot of the problems we do!!!

Would someone please explain to me how these "Movie Stars" can flaunt their drug habits everyone knowing it and no legal action is being taken? How do they get by with that? Explain? Stop the source. If I was a family member I would be furious who was selling the drugs to him. It is so unfortunate that Charlie can't see these drug people care less about him. Charlie you are not being honest with yourself. They are milking you for all its worth. When you hit the wall they will find someone else to keep the food chain going. Wake up before it is to late. Change the people you are surrounding yourself with. Take control. And yes you need support now.
I work in a company of about 500+ employees. Guess what ? I have yet to find anyone there that is interested in celebrities as CNN would have us believe. I don't care what slant of whichever network. We just don't care. Give us some worthwhile news. The national enquire is at the grocery store checkout.
Good for Mackenzie Phillips for calling out PIers Morgan on his lack of interviewing integrity. Piers, how about interviewing withOUT acting like you are the president of the fan club? Your interview with Charlie Sheen was pathetic. You acted star-struck and never challenged him on any of his absurd comments. We need a Larry King replacement, not a Kelly Ripa one. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the Piers Morgan show. Okay, he's a "friend" to Charlie Sheen, who is obviously suffering (but VERY rich). Now Piers is profiting from Charlie's troubles and boring us to tears, parading other addicted celebrities across the screen ad infinitum. I am an American living in France. I DON'T CARE! And I really miss Larry King!!!!
Please replace Piers Morgan, and give us more interesting subjects to consider. Charlie Sheen is OLD NEWS! Piers Morgan is boring! Sorry. I really did give him a few weeks before arriving at this conclusion (although that was my first response), but the glut of Charlie Sheen-related shows was more than I could bear.
Yes, we're all tiered of the charlie sheen story but loved Daniel Baldwins comeback story. I've seen him workout at our local Kettlebell gyn and really witnessed his transformation. I'm sure he has lost a good 60 + LBS in the last 3-4 months. He must be working on a new movie roll or some thing? it looks like exercise, diet and clean living is really having an impact on his life and I'm sure he can help be an inspiration to Charlie Sheen and everyone else struggling with addiction.

I was more than disappointed with the interview from Mr. Morgan to Charlie, I've seen the show, I've seen other interviews Mr. Morgan gave and he was way to easy on Charlie as he sat in the chair and couldn't hold still for the life of him! He kept rocking back and forth, come on Mr. Morgan you had to see that!! And for him to have a drug test on him saying he was not using, give me a break, anyone of Charlies pals could have given that sample of urine. How about talking about some of our troops that are getting killed? I'm sick of Charlie Sheen!! Please move on.
