Piers, I watched your evening program March 15, 2011, and you asked a question: Should we end nuclear power? Then you had NO ONE advocating for that position! You had two pro-nuclear people. There is a risk analysis method well-known in the scientific community where you weigh not only the probability of harm, but the severity. One of your interviewees compared nuclear to coal pollution, and it is beyond apples and oranges. The Cesium and Strontium being released now and in the next year will very likely cause thousands of cancers, birth defects, and other diseases in the future. There are credible scientists advocating this position, who care more about public health than their careers in or related to the nuclear industry. You really missed on this one. How about covering more than one side of the story, soon?

As I have listened to this broadcast, I have been absolutely appalled that .Mr. Morgan shows absolute lack of respect for the position of Mr. Netanyahu and his history with the Israeli homeland. I personally resent Mr. Morgan's futile attempt to somehow make Mr. Netanyahu feel somehow guilty that a permanent peace has not been achieved during his first term as P.M. and obviously not at this time. We as Jews do not need nor want anyone, especially a reporter, telling us our duty as it is perceived to achieving peace in the Middle East. How dare you? The peace process has always and will always require more than just Israel being at the table and Israel constantly being made to feel guilty that the Jewish people care, fight, protect, and have won this homeland justly by fire and force and enormous human suffering. Shame on you for this broadcast, and kudos to Mr. Netanyahu for realising the caliber of Morgan and his total lack of any true concern for Israel. I do believe that Morgan's only intention for this broadcast was to somehow back Mr. Netanyahu into a corner for a full conession from Israel. That didn't happen, and Mr. Netanyahu held his ground agaInst this hack. Please be more careful who you send for an interview that should be on a QA format that allows for respect and regard for the position of the person being interviewed. Such person as Mr. Netanyahu deserves more respect for his restraint and patience when pushed to intimidate himself and the people he represents. Mr. Netanyahu has my respect for his restraint in the face of criticism for not retaliating against the recent murder on the West Bank. We do not want violence, we want peace. But at what cost? The cost is and has been only on the Israeli people. enough.

STOP STOP STOP P L E A S E interrupting your guests- You ask a question and just as they attempt to give an answer- you jump to another question or thought- Tonights show with Dr. Oz was very immportant, however your continuous interruptions made it almost impossible to listen & learn wat I needed to know- You a wonderful person & I love the British- You have so much talent- Could you possibly stop being so nervous, slow down & take it all inward-
      No disrespect here- just frustation-
      Thank You, Good Luck –

    Piers,
When you first started your show, I was really annoyed because you kept interrupting people. I think you are doing a great job. You've had interesting political figures etc., and your interview with Netanayahu was excellent. It would be great to get the Palestinian side of the story with Mahmoud Abbas. Keep up the good work and keep LISTENING and asking tough questions.

He still butts in. He asks a question and interrupts. I'm watching the interview with the P.M. of Israel. Ask the question and SHUT UP. Him and Arie. Arie wont let anyone get a word in. I watched as the CNN weather guy stopped and asked Arie " are you going to let my finish ? ". Ask a question and SHUT UP.

I agree. He has good guests, but he is so rude when he doesn't let them finish their answers. I was watching the interview with Joel Osteen and his wife, and I would have really enjoyed it if he had let them answer the questions. As it was, I ended up turning it off because I'm sick of him doing all the talking. He seems to think he has to be very confrontational to do a good interview. I'm surprised anyone will even appear on his show.

Iknow. Are they so awkward to keep a simple interview on iTunes?
Why can't you Piers learn from the GREATEST ever interviewer ever alive, "Charlie Rose," when he confidently decided to post each episode nightly into his website. Tell me about cleverness.
I know you have that level of power and well heard personality to request from CNN, to post your show DAILY??? 😉

I have always enjoyed your interviews until last night with Prime Minister Netanayahu. If you want to be more like your "idol," Larry King, you will learn to LISTEN and hold your next question until the person has finished. When he made comments on his position, you didn't follow with the flow, but instead, kept up your agenda, which was to put the whole onus on Israel's back. I am not a Jew, but I do see both sides, which is what a good interviewer also sees. Don't blow it. You're too good for that. I want to see more of you, but you've got to keep your personal opinions out of it.

Rediculous! Larry was good, yes, and he even interviewed Iran's Ahmadinejad and ran it more than once to fully make it clear that Iran's president never said anything about throwing Israel into the sea. He's not dumb! He said that zionism needed to go and it does, as it's racist and bigoted and who needs that today??? Actually it was Ben Gurion who made that remark about throwing the Palestinians into the sea, and a lot worse than that. Thieves can make themselves feel better by dehumanizing their victims, as you likely know. Rabin turned and became a man of peace, and was murdered by a Jewish terrorist, rabbinical student, a huge loss to Israel. It's way past time for peace and Americans do not need the burden of billions of $ sent to a rich, nuclear armed country.

I'm disappointed. I thought you were going to break the mold inhibiting all media from asking the Palestinians who "want peace with Iisrael" when they are going to acknowledge Israel as a sovereign stste – as did Egypt and Jordan.
Surely you can realize that without this, Israel is compelled to remain defensive?

Piers is a welcome relief. Better than Spitzer by a long run! He did a spectacular interview of Netanyahu, a man needing someone to gently nudge him into doing something constructive for peace with Palestinians. He challenged him to
want to be the man who brings peace. And he could. For the Israeli to openly bark that they would build more settlements because of the loss of 5 in a family (they have no idea who did it) is bizarre. And the fact that thousands of homes of Palestinians have been confiscated? There are bad people and good people in those settlements, and what kind of people would move into areas that are illegally occupied and take homes from others? And why are we paying for it in the U.S? Crimes for which we would find ourselves in jail if they happened here. Piers makes interviews interesting and often fun and he gives us hope.

We want more challenging insights into your guests rather than flattering chats that reakly do not reveal much of the true essence of the individuals interviewed. Raise and be a journalist rather than a polite & charming host...and plese stop being so sorry about Charlie Sheen

Piers, you are far better than even Larry King's appraisal of himself ... but while Larry changed our channel with a series of uninteresting, downright boring, Jewish-friends; you are now doing much the same by dragging us through a gray stream of equally uninteresting British guests. There are many exciting people representing all aspects of life. Bring them on and give your favors to your English friends in other ways ... maybe dinner!

"Oh, My Son Jesus, forgive these sins; there are so many of them!"

"Continue to pray, because prayer is the salvation of the people."

"Dear children, behold, also today I want to call you to start living a new life as of today. Dear children, I want you to comprehend that God has chosen each one of you, in order to use you in a great plan for the salvation of mankind. You are not able to comprehend how great your role is in God’s design. Therefore, dear children, pray so that in prayer you may be able to comprehend what God’s plan is in your regard. I am with you in order that you may be able to bring it about in all its fullness. Thank you for having responded to my call."

"Be converted! It will be too late when the sign comes. Beforehand, several warnings will be given to the world. Hurry to be converted. I need your prayers and your penance.

"My heart is burning with love for you. For you it is enough to be converted. To ask questions is unimportant. Be converted. Hurry to proclaim it. Tell everyone that it is my wish, and that I do not cease repeating it. Be converted, be converted. It is not difficult for me to suffer for you. I beg you, be converted.

"I will pray to my Son to spare you the punishment. Be converted without delay. You do not know the plans of God; you will not be able to know them. You will not know what God will send, nor what He will do. I ask you only to be converted. That is what I wish. Be converted! Be ready for everything, but be converted. That is part of conversion. Goodbye, and may peace be with you."

I am very disappointed with Piers Morgan who seems to think that celebs are the only people of interest. There are thousands of people out there who are more interesting and are contributing significantly to the betterment of the world. He needs to do more research and broaden the scope of interests. There are doctors, writers, educators, scientists and just ordinary people living extraordinary lives that the rest of us would love to hear about.

Health Care Plans I think that there is a huge issue that no one, NO ONE is reporting. Where is the "medical business" on the issue. It is my contention that medical business is milking Medicare and will do the same to the new plans. In the last year I have had several medical conditions that were fairly minor. I had a small growth on my scalp. I went to the doctor and had "surgery". The "surgery" was a Q tip dipped in liquid/freezing and applied to the growth. NOT by a Doctor my a Physicians Assistant. Bill? $130.00! Is that MILKING the system. There have been others but I shall be brief.

I have just tried to listen to Piers Morgan interviewing Ann Coulter. I turned off the TV in disgust after 15 minutes because he is a useless interviewer; he never lets her answer his questions before he throws in another before she even gets more than a part way into her answer, no wonder he is losing audience share he loves the sound of his own voice too much and shows no interest in her replies.

Piers is an amazing interviewer. He is diplomatic, respectful and keeps his questions fair and honest. I have a great idea for his show. Interview a 'random' citizen (from the white pages across America) from each decade of life. A child under the age of 10, a teen between 11-20, a 20-30, a 30-40 year old and etc. ask the same 'general and across the board questions' about education, medical, social, religious, political and whatever else to each individual person.....then have them each watch it as a group followed by a group discussion. It would be so revealing and interesting to hear the different 'age' reactions and perspectives, which hopefully would offer insight and further discussion among our generations. It's boring to hear the same old rhetoric from celebrities and politicians. Time to give us regular people a voice! It would be so refreshing to have a 'round table' discussion with regular folks on a regular basis.....? PLEASE.

Some people just have to be stopped–such as many Republicans–or anyone else who avoids by deliberate obfuscation to answer a question or deal with an issue. Besides, jumping in sometimes supplies a more lively discussion, then the plain back and forth comment.

    Piers,

Boehner needs to get together a majority of Republican and Democratic Representatives that are ready to "solve" this problem. He is not showing leadership qualities since he is limiting himself to the Republican Conference. He needs to understand that he is an American before beeing a Republican. Bring Democrats IN and get a bill that the majority agree on; a majority that reflects America.

Once a bill the majority of Americans support comes out, the Senate and the President don't have a choice but to agree to it.

    Extremisms is destructive.

    Piers,

Congratulations for the Congress and the President for resolving this Washington made crisis.

Now, the question in 2012 should only be: are you better of than in 2008? It is time for America to honestly answer this question; if they feel that the President and the leaders in Congress have not succeeded in making the country better, it is time to send them a clear message: GO HOME.

When in debt, you cut spending (fatty projects) but you invest to create opportunities that will grow the economy. Somehow, these investment opportunities need to be funded (it is either debt or tax revenues). Since the Republicans hate debt, then it is only revenues that are left on the table.

Get the ones that benefitted from shipping the jobs overseas to pay for America's growth.

Piers says h e is offended by his guest because he is an atheist. and has written a book about his beliefs. Why should someone expressing their views just because they are different from his own offend Piers?.
Everyone asks the questions how did I get here? why am I here ?, whats happens when I die.?
Those that can not stand the idea that after we die there is nothing have through out history postualted that there must be an afterlife..Dwath cannor possibly be the end.
Atheists see no evidence to suuport the idea that there is an afterlife.

What ever happened to the idea that I can totally disagree with what you are sayi but that I will defend to the death your right to say it.
Piers needs to grow up and learn to accept that the very freedoms that allow him to practice his religion
must be extended to those who think that God does not exist..

How wrong you may be, how old fashion are your fundamental religious ideas. I was born a portuguese (catholic) but 'thank god' I grew up and realized how stupid one has to be thinking that it was a 'god' who did all this! Which god, whose god, the christian one ( 2000 years old!!) what a joke. Our existence and the existence of all this, my dear, is simply the result of chemical reactions, but ok if it makes you happy to think that it was your god + Christ who did it, go on living in cuckoo land and refuse to grow up.

"something" and others were written for anyone but Patti is a lie . George and Clapton sounded silly like school boys trying to save face . no one bought that nonsense. When I was a kid I couldn't wait to see pictures of George and patti together they looked so adorable together. They were young and You could see a special love in them ,To this day I listen to George's music on Utube so I can see the pictures of Patti and George together, This is in no disrespect to his second wife.but, Patti will always be the one that people think of when they think of George she was "that time".

Mr. Morgan, can you do a show featuring some English expats like
Dave Gahan or Martin Gore of the famously British Band Depeche Mode.
I did see your interview with Cindy Lauper and it was very interesting.
And I just want to let you know you are doing a great remarkable job
lieu of Mr. Larry King. Although I kinda miss him once in a while.

    Great show with Jane Fonda.
When Piers started this format with CNN I was not convinced but each show gets better. This show reminded me of a good Brian Lineham interview from the 1970's.
Stay away from politics and stick with the entertainers and thinkers. The politicians already take up to much airtime.

Piers, I keep hearing your bias about Obama and how he intends to say help the middle class to win the election. I am the middle class and I'm tired of paying taxes to support his democratic non working goofoffs to sit at home and do nothing including not paying any taxes with the taxes that I do pay. He and the democrats buy their votes with my tax dollars to give to people that do not deserve it. Let's help those truly in need not of their own doing or not doing and forget the rest.

Pers: For the most part your interviews are very good; however, the one you did with Jane Fonda was your worst ever. You should have done the interview in reverse; she is a movie star = talk to her about her movies, family, her romances, fitness, new aerobics tapes, etc. You talked the whole first half about politics; not that I don't totally care about her opinions (realize she's an activist and some of her views are interesting), but she was so hesitant about most issues, Also, you seem to slam Obama & America in general highlighting problems all the time. I know you're British, but don't you do these interviews in America.) p.s. Jane Fonda was on he Doctor Oz show (very good interview) where she admitted she was feisty, which she denied on your show.

Your interview with Jack Welch was not hard hitting nor informative. We only learned that you are in augh when it comes to Jack Welch and wife.
Jack Welch is part of the problem that almost destroyed America. He is not part of the solution. The likes of Jack Welch moved the manufacturing strength pf America overseas for the purpose of making more "easy" profit. Can it be believed that China and India are now leading the world in manufacturing all based on innovations created in America and the western world, when they were third world countries in the early 80's?
Jack Welch went on and on yesterday on the issue of eliminating regulations on american businesses as the problem in job creation. What regulations did he refer to? Did he refer to pollution, or respecting the american worker, or regulations to do with honesty?
I am sorry. I was not impressed yesterday. Jack Welch is not a Hollywood star. Jack Welsh is a politician and not a magician. The people who like "firings" are the people that have not done their homework before making decisions. They are the non-compassionate part of society (the 1%). Jack Welch got where he is because of timing and connections. I have no respect whatsoever for people that ship jobs overseas and lay people off here in America. Being patriotic is not only about wearing a flag lapelle pin; it is about serving your country and helping move your country forward.

At first I took a little dislike to Torey being so hard on Mr Morgan but after watching the whole interview tonight, I felt that Mr Morgan allowed Zimmerman to completely turn the events around to make Treyvon seem like the one with the gun, the one pursuing, that Zimmerman was an angel, who obeyed the police and stood one place and Treyvon circled around and came and atack him Zimmerman, and Morgan let that Zimmerman brother get away with that TOTAL NONSENSE, RIDICULOUS LYING WICKED NESS. Which 17 year old boy would attack a bigger, more mature man who is carrying a gun? Zimmerman stopped just short of accusing Treyvon of being the one who had the gun. Pier I like you but this time, you really really really really really really really DISAPPOINTED FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE BY TRYING TO BE TOOOOO PROFESSIONAL, IT MADE YOU SEEM AFRAID TO TACKLE THE OBVIOUS TRTUH

My wife and I and I dare say that I speak on behalf of many in Europe, are herewith appealing to CNN Europe to bring you back to the 9pm CET time slot, the only time for us working people to be able to watch you and to put Ms Amanpour an hour earlier or one hour later....We love you Piers and we hope to see you again soonest...

I cannot understand for one who is so tech savvy as Piers Morgan, that he would show such contempt for his fans. First about a year ago they video podcast disappears with not a word to the followers. Then about a month ago the podcast stops for about 2 weeks and then comes back with no explanation. And now the podcast has been suspended again with not one word of explanation. I pay to have CNN on my satellite. Dear Piers,
I follow your program on CNN religiously. Your style is so distinctive and unique. You coax your guest into responding to your queries without being aggressive or pushy. Keep up the good work and more power to you.
I’m writing to you from Beirut – Lebanon where I reside. The issue I want to address with you is the Syrian uprising and the total disregard for human life by the regime. I will need the help of individuals of your stature and influence to heighten the awareness of the people, who in turn can pressure their political leaders to take the necessary tangible steps to stop the genocide.
I have become so passionate and filled with anger about the on goings in Syria. The straw that broke the camel’s back, was the two recent massacres in Houla & Qubair whose victims were mostly women and children. This made me decided to try and do something about the unbearable situation in that country. Yes…I am taking a huge risk with Syrian government operatives in Lebanon and certain individuals within the Lebanese security apparatus who are loyal to them.
I can no longer deal with the situation in Syria by looking the other way, refusing to acknowledge it, and/or feigning ignorance.
The major powers are bickering at the UN, while the Assad Killing Machine feasts on men, women, children, and the elderly. Those powers keep coming up with lame excuses for not taking effective measures to reign in the regime such as, a no-fly zone, safe passages and havens for civilians, etc. – while the number of victims rise. An average count of 50 – 60 deaths a day seems an acceptable number by the international community. This looks a reprise of Rwanda and Bosnia, when after tens of thousands were massacred the international community took action. Too little, too late for those that died horrific deaths. The world powers that be are simply sitting on the fence waiting for “something” to happen, while they twiddle their thumbs.
Violence by the Assad regime has risen dramatically since the start of a U.N. peace plan. This plan, as have other plans, seems to have emboldened the Assad regime. Assad is simply buying time and increasing his repression to force the world into accepting his terms. The massacre in Houla on May 25 killed more than 100 people, many of them children. They were slaughtered like animals. Government troops shelled a string of villages in central Syria before pro-regime thugs swept through the area, shooting people in the streets and in their homes in attacks that killed more than 90 people. Another massacre took place in Qubair, Hama on June 6, 2012. It seems the Houla effect wasn’t “grand” enough for the regime’s forces killing people in Syria to stop doing so. In the town of Qubair, near Hama in Northern Syria, 78 people have been killed including 35 from the same family. Half of those killed were women and children. The village itself counts only 100 or so residents. They literally killed everyone there. In the nearby town of Kfarzeita, 6 bodies were found char burned. Genocide galore, while the world looks on.
The following is a quote from an interview with a survivor of the massacre in the town of Qubair. “More than 18 families were murdered. Some of the bodies were burned. The massacre started at 2 pm and was carried out by the army of Assad’s regime. Families were killed with knives and gunshots. Families were wiped out in their entirety, from the 80 year old, frail and weak man to 4 month old helpless newborn baby”. In total, the death toll is estimated at 130, more than the Houla massacre. There are extremely grisly pictures and videos of both massacres on several websites.
I have sent Ben Rattray of Change.org an email on this matter a few days ago informing him that I will want to use change.org as a platform for my appeal to the peoples of the world to pressure their leaders into some form of action to save the Syrian people from the regime’s killing machine
If the world would close both eyes to the horrific events in Syria I don’t think Assad would hesitate to gas his own people. Saddam Hussein did it before him to the Iraqi Kurds and the world stood by and watched. Later on to get rid of Saddam, it cost the powers that be so many unnecessary deaths and billions of dollars. Despots cannot be accommodated; they must be dealt with decisively.
If we allow evil to flourish in our midst without taking the necessary steps to stop it, uproot it, and annihilate it we end up not only being partially responsible for its spread but also its victims.
Allow me to take the liberty of asking for your support to help increase awareness amongst your worldwide public in general and the American one in particular about the situation in Syria.
Thanking you in advance for both your attention to the above matter and your presence on the small screen attempting to interest the US populace in international affairs and helping make politics more palatable.
    Warmest regards,
    Maher I. Hinnawi

    Piers:

Congratulations for having the guts to give your point of view on gun control. It seems like the same old story when gun fanatics are faced with the reality of a situation that doesn't follow their script. In this case, it was the deaths of 12 innocent people in a movie theater. Earlier, it was a mall shooting in Omaha. Before that, it was Virginia Tech. Before that, a mall shooting in Salt Lake City. Before that, it was Columnbine. It's apparent that these apologists for the legalization of assault weapons, weapons purchased out of the trunks of cars in parking lots at gun shows, and a general lack of gun law enforcement have some sort of paranoia issue about sane discussion regarding guns. The fact is, it's not some sort of conspiracy to take everyone's guns. It's not the so-called "liberal agenda." It's time we recognized guns for what they are–devices meant to kill things. Period. That's why there needs to be stiff, iron-clad laws pertaining to their use and sale. Otherwise, these tragedies will keep happing, we'll all weigh in on how sad it is, and in the end, do nothing. How to I have the right to speak out? I'm a victim of a mall shooting five years ago in Salt Lake City. I was shot three times at close range by an illegally purchased pistol-grip shot gun. I survived, but am confined to a wheelchair and in constant pain. Five others were killed. The sad thing was, just like all the other shootings including the latest one in Aurora, it didn't need to happen. No one's second amendment rights supercede the first amendment rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. How high does the body count need to go until something's done? The time is now.

    Piers;
Are you really asking whether the public cares about Romney's tax returns? Really, you have to be kidding. Are you that far out of touch? Hell yes we want to know!!!!! The question you should be asking is why isn't Romney willing to show us the last 5, 10, 15, 20 years of tax returns???
Piers, in case you don't get it, there may be something the public should know about Romney that we don't know at this time. There are claims that he is out of touch with the people on the street vs the aristocrats. That may or may not be true..we need to know more to make that decision.
The continual response from the Romney's that all it will do is open them up to more criticism is a lame....why don't you do your homework and find out how many years of returns other presidential candidates have provided.
Piers, maybe your asking because you are taken in by the Romneys. Quit frankly, I think you are.
Oh, and one more thing, remember Mrs. Romney isn't running for president although when listening to some of her interviews, I think she feels she is.

Piers, I am a fan but tonight you were riding Clintons coat tail a little hard. You made comments saying that the term should be longer than 8 years, as to say Clinton should be the one in office now instead of Obama. And then saying that he should be president of your country since too bad he can't be in this country. Then you referred to him as president, not former, at the end of the interview. I think this was very disrespectful, we have a well deserved president in office now that really cares and is working his as off. It's so hard for a black man to get any respect.

Since all of this election news it has become very apparent to ME! that you are a Mitt Romney fan.
I feel that as a talk show host, newsman, etc. you should remain down the middle and not be so
apparent and hostile toward our President. I think it is only professional to stay unbiased.

I have been turning off your show because you cut people off when they are voicing their opinions, bully your guests in defence of Romney, to get your comments in on Romney and take Romney's side more often than not. I feel it is very unprofessional. I do not know any other candidate choice of the entire CNN staff/reporters. I think you need to re evaluate this position.

I have never seen a man so out of touch with reality as Mitt Romney!
He knows the way of the wealthy but put him in a world of real people and he shakes in his boots.
He is weak, has very poor body language on a constant basis, is not Presidential at all. His wife might be a nice woman but she too is weak and the last thing the US needs is another Presidential wife redecorating the place or being
a world fashion statement. I am so tired of her tearing up at not enough time with her husband and not
at home enough. She is in remission with MS and anyone that knows this disease knows that what could lay ahead of her could kill her. MS people need quiet, a healthy diet, lots of rest...........pacing their life. I think it is selfish of her husband to put this upon her at this point in her life. If, if and DEAR GOD I pray Romney does not win this election what will Ann do with her hubby off doing Presidential business while she lives alone in the Whitehouse.
They need to retire, relax and take care of the big wonderful family they have.
God help America is Mitt Romney wins this election. The richer will get richer and the poor will get poorer and
the US will be at war as soon as Mitt can get the US troops deployed.
    It is so obvious!

Regardless who is in the White House or Downing Street, Master plan remain unchanged. Key to solving the world issues and ringing freedom without borders is to unmasked all behind the Master plans. It really comes down to it who shall fasten the bell round the neck of the cat?

The way look at the Bengazy attack,it is a plot to make the USA get involved and put their military either in Syria or some other base.Obama can smell this plot, the USA does not want to get involved,as they are demilitaration,to balance their budget, and saving trillions of dollars.the Republicans are seething this outcome, either some of their supporters are involved on the war machine,{its all about money} You have chosen a right president, power to the people, they have been suppressed for long.Mr.Bidden was right, when he said no more USA involved in afganistan to Mr.Ryan and Ryan smirked and looked at Mr.Bidden.{He blinked],Sheesh glad you chose a right president

The best man won the election. THE PRESIDENT knows what is going on. From my view Mitt Romney was itching to get involved in another war. No signs of him wanting to end the existing and stay out of others.
My belief is you take care of home first, then help others if possible. Now is the time to take care of the US and the people. Israel is doing just as they wanted without Mitt's help and THE PRESIDENT knows that his time is best spent on the people of the country & infrastructure.

I applaud CNN for being progressive and see that the times are changing. In light of its new found enlightenment, it was 10 steps of regression when Erin Burnett put Nicholas Burns, a person who served in the Bush administration, an era of war mongering, to offer commentary on the Israeli- Palestinian conflict. Does Erin Burnett want us to switch to BBC instead. The last time that happened to CNN, was when it aired to much nonsense of Lou Dobbs. Erin pitches heavy weights of Israeli supporters with little known Palestinian supporters. Does she have the courage to bring someone like Jimmy Carter on her show. Little chance, in my view, she'd lose the base that's supporting her. Erin Burnett is the new Lou Dobbs of CNN, and by the time CNN realizes that, millions like me will be changing channels to BBC or a fairer reporting news channel.
However Piers, who did so well these last few days, today was not as honest a reporter. Piers, the best reporters can report without taking sides and you were doing that reporting the truth. But the guys that asked you to change your sorry today, are the same guys who were ready to call Romney new Pres, who were convinced that Saddam had WMDs, who will drink pepsi Because Kissinger is its consultant. You want to stand in the sun, where the enlightened can see you and we will support you, and you didn't have to say Good night or good luck on CNN, we'd watch because of the tough stance you took to report the truth by letting the right voices be heard. Stay true Piers. don't do what you did today, took so many steps back to sound politically incorrect, while those idiot advisors told you that you needed to be politically correct by taking a neutral stand. If you didn't stand with Dr. Martin L King would you be neutral, if you didn't stand with Nelson Mandela could you be neutral, or not stand by Gandhi, could you be neutral? So tell those damn advisors that they are not letting you be neutral when they are not allowing you to report on the disproportionate and vulgar response of the Israeli Army. Please listen to Bob Dillon tonight and you will now times are changing and you can be the voice of that change, a chance for Peace.

oh my god does anyone ready these e-mails, I have never seen a stack deck before but Mr. Morgan had one tonight and he has no idea what he is talking about you cannot fire 100 rounds a minute with and AR 15 semi Automatic, that is why it is called a semi automatic one round per pull of a trigger, auto is full open, in order to fire 100 rounds you would need a 100 round clip the large you can get it 30, that means quick changing of the clip and not to many people can do this without training. as for back ground checks Iowa make you go through a back ground check in order to get a permit to carry or buy. also if we take guns away like in england the ability to get weapons are still there how do you figure some of the terroest and gangs get them. i you do not like the way we do thinks here go home to england. and one last thing shut up and listen and stop being a person wanting to be in charge. there is a saying not in charge at home need to be in charge at work it is rude what you do not let people finish their statement, oh unless you agree with it, and do some home work before you talk, like Anderson Cooper a real report.

    Dear Piers:
I applaud your efforts to continue the discussion regarding gun control. The time is long overdue for making the process to own a gun require a background check and some proof of proficency in how to handle a gun. This would in no way infringe upon anyone's 2nd Amendment rights. In addition, the use of assault type weapons and cartridges designed to spray 30 rounds in 15 seconds (as was used by the attempted assassin of Gabby Giffords) should be banned. No legitimate hunter or target shooter or citizen who feels the need to protect themselves need this kind of "artillery". Again, the right to bear "arms" is not denied for any non-felon, sane person. It merely that we as a society have seen enough massacres like today's in Connecticutt to take measures to "help" prevent such a heinous event from recurring. The NRA crowd will argue that these measures will not prevent such an event from recurring again, and they are, in fact, correct! What these measures will do is make it more difficult for these events to occur and will reduce their incidence. If only one life is saved by such measures then I say it is well worth it. In a broader sense it we profess to be "the greatest nation in the world" then we need to make a statement that this sort of violence requires these measures I have proposed and others (e.g., no more unregulated sales of guns at gun shows) to make a statement that we must be at least a "civilized" nation before we can call ourselves the "greatest" nation. It is time for us to stand up and finally say "ENOUGH"!

killmeister...I wish, there would be more Americans like you. The debate shouldn't end at what type of weapons are permissible or not. The discussion must extend to what persons or not. The discussion must extend to what requirements need to be fulfilled to even own a single shot hand gun. The Second Amendment wasn't written for the murderous people we see today in our communities. The Second Amendment needs to be modified to our world today. Our founding fathers knew that nothing is for eternity. They said, we need to build a "more perfect Union". More perfect means a never ending improvement, it also means to question what was right more than 200 years ago may not be right in an evolved United States of America of today. And of the future. . The Second Amendment needs a serious modification.

Asperger's syndrome is not a mental illness. Autism is not a mental illness. Is Down's syndrome a mental illness? Please use the words carefully. In fact, please be careful in using the term "mental illness" to stigmatize all sorts of people who have mental conditions. Your use of the term fosters fear. I just heard that one of the teachers who was shot specialized in teaching "special needs" children. She may have had some autistic / Asperger's children in her care. Asperger's / autism does not imply violent tendencies. Neither, in fact, does "mental illness." DON't GENERALIZE.

First let me say, I like Pierce Morgan and am for gun control for all weapons that are repeater type assault weapons. I believe that these individuals that commit these horrendous crimes of multiple shootings would not occur if the assailant did not have at their disposal these dangerous aformentioned weapons, because they are for the most part cowardly type of people – but feel very powerful brandishing these weapons...they make them think they are invincible and powerful. If we take the weapon out of the equation..i believe they would think twice about the assaults.. Mr Morgan i am a little disappointed that you seem to be loosing control in your interviews with guests who represent the NRA, I think this is beneath you, I am for the most part against guns ..but every guest deserves respect when on your show, please tone it down a little. This screaming type interview turns me and and would bet many others off. I am from Canada and we have gun control in our country and death by guns are quite low, but were low even before gun laws were enforced ..so there is something else at work in the USA, besides the availability of guns, and the drug problem – as we have drug problems also and our kids play violent video games also, so this is a very complicated matter. It is not only about guns.

further to my above mgs..We have a law in Canada that says if you own a weapon it must be stored under lock and key. I think if the owners of weapons were held criminally responsible for the use of these weapons ..ie they would be charged if any of their weapons were used in a crime and could be sued by families who lose loved ones have been injured or killed by one of their weapon you would see that a lot of people would not want this responsibility and would actually turn over their guns to the police, we had this occur here in the amnesty program...You could turn in your guns to the police and they would dispost of them.....thousands and thousands of weapons were turned in..,But part of this program failed...it was such an expensive project to register and keep track of all these weapons that the RCMP has stopped the program(I am not sure of all of the info in regards to this, u could ck it out)..

Pierce, go back to England and get rid of their guns. We pulled your fat out of the fire in WW2, now you come here and want to get rid of our guns.Ban alcohol? They tried it, Ban moonshine? They tried it,ban drugs, they tried it. Ban guns? They can't even stop illegals from crossing the borders.Want a booming smuggling trade in assault rifles? Ban them. The police, the milatary, and many others carry. The problem is not the tools in most cases, but rather those who handle them. I do not blame the nail gun if I shoot myself in the foot, but rather my mishandling or lack of training in such. The military does not sent out troops with no training. The solution is not banning guns, but training, regulation and restricting. And finding and treating the true causes of mental health problems.
I am for certain teachers and administrators being armed in schools also, as long as they have either a back ground in weaponry such as a history of hunting, military, or law enforcement. Just as I would not want an auto-mechanic doing surgery on me, not all are psychologically competent to carry and react properly in a high stress situation. If you face off with someone who is armed and aggressive much happens in milliseconds. You must access the situation, check out the background, is it a real weapon, or fake toy. Your heart starts to pound, your vision tunnels, muscle reaction slows. You must have the training to know what to do and fast. You only have one chance and it better be right. Make the right decision and its over. Make the wrong one and he has your weapon as well as his own. Draw your weapon just once and you are looking at $10,000 in legal fees even if you do not fire it.It is a big responsibility. Not only for others but your own financial well being. You will have as much luck getting rid of guns as you will getting rid of criminals, or the 2 radicals out of office that are running this country into the ground.

RE Pier's interview with Larry Pratt. First, I support Piers and what he is trying to do re assault weapons. But Piers, you must stop talking over your guests. It just weakens your position and is irritating, at least for this viewer. It also antagonizes your guest. And rather than attacking Mr. Pratt last night, you might have let him talk and explain his strange (to me) thinking. You could listen and still disagree, without shouting over him. Obviously Mr. Pratt and people who support him are frightened. (Ariana Huffington alluded to this when she said that unemployment creates fear and so people want to hang on to their guns). But I think the fear is bigger than that. What is this terrible fear all about? Is it economic collapse and a possible state of lawlessness that might follow? Is it terrorism? Natural disasters? I guess rationally one could imagine that you would want to be well protected during a period of lawlessness. But are there other things that could be done instead, i.e. ways to manage that sort of situation? I am just posing a thought about opening the discussion up and getting away from the extreme polarization, which seems to just entrench the positions. No mistaking, I do support your position, but I am interested to really know where the other side is coming from. I think it doesn't work to just say they are wrong, even if you and many others might believe that.

    Peirs,

I have a hard time understanding the logic that more guns will stop this problem. You might be able to stop a gunman from entering a school to kill children but, once the bad guys know that, what is going to stop them from shooting people from the street, the bushes or a car? Even if you surround a school yard with 100 armed guards, how is that going to stop kids and adults being killed by anyone deranged and having the capability of discharging hundreds of rounds in a matter of seconds? Do we want children now to be locked into schools and never allowed out for recess? How long will it take before the gun lobby tries to convince the public that the next step is to have armed guards on bullet proof buses? The insanity of this "culture of fear" and the need for more guns in the US is beyond comprehension.

    Hello Mr. Morgan,
Just a line to inform you that there may be a way to resolve this issue about gun control and the 2nd amendment. Why not micro chip all assault weapons and allow Americans to own them as long as they are under lock and key with the exception that when they take them for target practice they inform the local constabulary. In other words, if "that gun" is on the move without notifying police, then the alarm should sound. Also, if you make the owner of the assault weapon totally responsible for the weapon, and will be charged if it is used in an assault, then you would be more than likely to have a beginning in resolving this crises.

I am heartsick to think a father of one of the slain children from Newtown who was brave enough to tesify about the dire need to strengthen our gun laws was heckled by pro-gun activists in the audience. Why is our nation being held hostage by this segment of the population? I fully understand the rights guaranteed by the 2nd amendment. But no founding father could have anticipated the level of today's weaponry and ammunition and the ease with which these things are obtained and used to wantonly murder even the most innocent of our citizens. Bravo to you Piers Morgan...for your enduring commitment to this issue. I hope and pray that a rational national dialogue will continue and that reason will prevail and legislation will be enacted to strengthen our gun laws, broaden background checks, and to improve mental health care to once and for all reduce the slaughter of innocent Americans through the use of guns.

As usual as has happened ever since something happens where there is a firearm involved the misinformed and bleeding hearts come out of the wood work saying firearm ban is the answer to a social problem. It is the misinformed or should I say the media that is looking for a story to boost their ratings that keep the issue alive yet all there doing is making things worse. It was tragic but it was also a crime for what happened at Sandy Hooks or any other place there has been bloodshed by a firearm. There is no one that disagrees something needs to be done but there is no evidence any place that can be proven that taking legitimate firearms from law-abiding citizens ever reduced crime and violence. Liberal gun control freaks just like Piers Morgan will try to cite what happened in England that if guns are banned then deaths by firearms decrease. It is true if your only willing to look at guns but what is not said is that deaths and violence rise in other areas and law abiding citizens become victims because there not able to defend themselves.

What disturbs me is how the media sifts through the people they will bring on there shows that are informed about guns. If a person is informed then they will not allow that person to give facts by interrupting and trying to apply things that do not apply to the interview. I am sick and tired of hearing how dangerous a firearm is and how a certain type of firearm is designed to kill over another firearm. There was not a firearm ever made that was not designed to kill. The notion that one firearm can kill more than another is ridiculous.

Lets talk rationally there are more people killed by blunt objects every year than firearms yet there is never any mention of banning blunt objects. Get real people more people are killed by automobiles than firearms yet they say we cannot link them together. I ask what is the difference in a person operating an automobile reckless and killing a person than a person using a firearm in a reckless manner both are inanimate objects incapable of doing anything own there own?

There is also a unsubstantiated argument that so called assault weapons which is something the liberal media gave to an AR-15 has no use towards hunting. Get real people come to the south and get your heads out of the subway. The so-called AR-15 sits beside hunters daily yet that has been lied about daily by the news media that does not know how to tell the truth. Allow me to be a guest on Piers Morgan’s show and I will present the facts not bios lies.

Another fact that has been distorted and lied about is the NRA not wanting background checks for firearm purchases. As a federal Firearms dealer every sale in my show includes a form and a background check. What I and the NRA membership object to is record keeping of firearm purchases by the federal government. When the background check system, which is in force today, was implemented we citizens were assured there would not be a record of firearms purchased kept by the government. The proposal by the federal government today towards background checks would include a record of all sales. If this were implemented then that would allow the federal government to cease every firearm that a law-abiding citizen purchased under the disguise of martial law.

Why does law-abiding citizens fear the government. We have seen how our supposed government protects its citizens. Innocent men, women and children were massacred at Waco.

Dear Gary, your lengthy comment (full of fallacies, to say the least) deserves a short response: Other civilized countries do have the same social issues we have. But they are not using AR-15s to resolve them, they choose strict gun control. The result: ALL civilized countries WITH gun control (and no death penalty, by the way) do have a much lower murder rate than we have. If you don't get it that gun control saves lives, you'll never get anything!

Mr. Morgan, I watched a clip of you and 2 ladies discussing gun control. You asked about magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. One of the ladies tried to tell you about a mother of 2 in Georgia that shot an intruder 5 times while protecting herself and 2 children. You rudely cut the lady off. The intruder she was referring to still left the house on his own. What if there had been 3 intruders, possibly on drugs and even less likely to be stopped by 3, 4 or 5 rounds. Suppose she missed 3 or 4 shots. I'm a law abiding citizen and resent the fact that criminals are affecting my rights to have what I want to protect my family. I live on a farm, several miles out in the country. A criminal could kill a number of people with a hammer b/4 law enforcement could reach my house. No disrespect is meant to the fine officers in my county- it is a matter of distance. Speaking of hammers- According to FBI stats, more people are killed by blunt force trauma (hammers, ball bats, iron pipes, etc..) than by what you would call an Assault Rifle. Also, I would hope that if you ever were in my town and were being attacked, I would still use one of my guns to save your life. Bear in mind, I do not care for you!

We've just been watching your interview of someone on gun laws...I didn't get his name...but how rude of you to continue talking, on and on and on......even after you ask him many, many questions....let your guests speak...i'm tired of you talking over someone you don't agree with.

This is in response to a comment I received by email. Quote: We’ve just been watching your interview of someone on gun laws…I didn’t get his name…but how rude of you to continue talking, on and on and on……even after you ask him many, many questions….let your guests speak…i’m tired of you talking over someone you don’t agree with. Unquote.
I watched that too. Although I have to say that that person's ideas on gun control are as stupid as can be (although he himself doesn't seem to be THAT stupid), it hurts your case, Piers, more than it does any good, if you constantly interrupt someone just because he doesn't give you the answer your question deserves. Let him speak his stupid response and then hit him with an intelligent rebuttal. You are intelligent enough to do that, more intelligent than most - not all! - of the people you interview. Let your intelligence work, not your temper. I hope somebody of your staff will read this and forward it to you. Thank you,

Piers: When you are biased, you are biased! You show it by trying your best to not let your invited guest get a word in edgewise. Tonight, after inviting George Zimmerman's brother on your program, the poor guy didn't get two words in before you jumped down his throat. What is the point of inviting someone on if you don't really want him to talk? I want to hear both sides, not just yours. Your view is not the only view. Talking faster and over your guest and not allowing me to hear what he has to say doesn't cut it with me. Stop it! You run out the clock so he can't make his point.

Piers Morgan and his guests Suze Orman & Ryan Anderson, a fellow at Heritage and co-author of "What is Marriage?" patiently gave lucid answers to their questions, even as Piers peppered him with questions without giving him time to respond.

It wasn't a conversation, it was a trial.

They didn't even allow Ryan to sit at the same table as them. Orman went so far as to call Anderson "uneducated" on the question of marriage and insultingly called him "sweetheart".

No longer to I wish to view Morgan or Orman as gentle-people...nor will I be a part of viewing their shows.

I'm disturbed because the obvious isn't covered about the Zimmerman trial, and it's right up Piers's alley. Zimmerman was in Neighborhood Watch, not Neighborhood Vigilante. By carrying a gun, he was emboldened to confront the slain victim. Neighborhood watch is to call the police, not to become the police. That's where the case all collapses. It's the south and its in gun land, so the failure of the victim is to not recognize he was in a fire zone. I's too bad, sincerely. Apparently it is legal to be a gun holding neighborhood Vigilante. The group- should be renamed, Neighborhood Gun. It's another sad story of the American nightmare with gun ownership., It's the wild south and you should beware. Or perhaps...the hell with the police, it's every man for himself. Charlie Pedersen (hbtrex@aol.com)

Piers Morgan,i thank you for the work yo are doing but it sound a bit fishy around everywhere and to ask, if a person realizes that he's being followed, will he be the one defending or the one that is following. We are seeing lies supporting Zimmerman but thats very bad because this can happen to everybody and am also a father and wouldnt be happy hearing all this after my child dies

I am the ultimate news "junkie" but I'm not sure I will ever watch CNN again and I definitely will not watch the Piers Morgan show. He is a moron, No wonder CNN can't hold their own against any news network. I thought the additional of Burnett would be a major plus and I still like Anderson, but Piers is such an ignorant jerk that CNN is going off the favorites channel.

I was fascinated to discover that the original Virginia Declaration of Rights in June 1776 does not mention a right to have Guns, but emphasizes the right of the people to form militias, that are controlled by the Government.

Just read of the cancellation of Piers Morgan's show. Will stop watching CNN since you fail to understand that there are people who enjoy listening to interesting interviews with a great variety of guests and opinions. Too bad there are so many people who do not seem to be able to appreciate someone else's point of view. I look forward to 9 P.M. every night waiting for the program.
