Ray Romano and cast of "Men of a Certain Age" on accents, upfronts and more

Following their interview with Piers Morgan (that airs tonight, 9pmET/PT), we caught up with Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher for a green room Q&A. Romano joked about how their show, "Men of a Certain Age," hadn't been picked up yet, and he could do stand-up at the next TNT upfront presentation. "I'll have nowhere else to go," he said.

How about Piers as the fourth cast member? "Absolutely, he's welcome to, because we need an accent," said Bakula. We also asked what the group thought of the personal questions they were asked.

"I parried each and every thrust he made," said Braugher. Watch tonight's interview with the cast, 9pmET/PT.

When will Piers realize the show is not about him, but rather the people he's interviewing. We tune in to hear his guests, not him. We could not care less about him, his life, or his lustful longing for women half his age. Tonight he wasted a great opportunity with the cast from Men of a Certain Age. My boyfriend and I were excited to see they were on the show, but when we tuned in, Kevin Bacon took up more than half the show, while these three interesting middle-aged men were left to scrap for the last few minutes. And I do mean scrap. When Piers is asking the questions, people are lucky to get in sentence fragments. He interrupts and cuts off answers that could prove provocative; he shares stories from his life that no one cares about; and most of all, the percentage of time he talks far outweighs that of his guests. Production staff, please start timing him and tell him to weight his interviews in favor of his guests!! Every time we tune in, which isn't often, we end up hating him more than the last time.

If I was a premium network like Cinemax or Starz who are attempting to catch HBO or Showtime in TV shows, I would pick up Men of a Certain Age and you would get a huge following to your network and place it next to your "homegrown" shows to get noticed. This is a "terrific" show and for it not to be picked up a travesty! I met Romano in Vegas driving him to a golf course and this guy is so naturally funny and appealing and with the wit and appeal of Braugher and's a real shame that it was taken off the air. Come on networks! Step up!!
