"Jerry Springer is a man of many talents," Piers Morgan wrote in his weekly Daily Mail column. Springer claims he can name every American president in 60 seconds so Piers decided to test it on the live show June 1. Here is how Piers described the test:
I waited until there were exactly 60 seconds left of my live show to let him start. Then off Jerry went, rampaging furiously through the list like a man possessed.
He hesitated twice, though, and it cost him dear as the clock ticked on.
‘Hurry, Jerry – nearly out of time…’
‘Got to go…’
‘No, no… Eisenhower… Kennedy… Johnson…’
The screen cut to Anderson Cooper, host of the show that follows mine.
‘That’s it – too late!’ I cried.
Not only did Piers write about his interview with Jerry Springer but he also talked about how the announcement of his wife's pregnancy stirred a discussion on the spelling of Gadhafi...
This prompted an immediate offer from Lord Sugar. ‘Can I be godfather?’ he asked, via Twitter.
‘Only if Colonel Gadhafi’s not available,’ I replied.
A response which, in turn, prompted a flurry of smart-alec tweets from people insisting I had spelt the Libyan leader’s name wrong.
In fact, I hadn’t. That is CNN’s preferred way of spelling it.
