So who murdered Caylee? Was it the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny or the Thanksgiving Turkey carved on the dining room table. Where did this trial go wrong? Was it the foreign jury from the West Coast of Florida or Judge Perry and the sheets and sheets of the verdict charges. Please make some sense out of this Piers. This verdict makes the Justice System a joke. Its OJ all over again. Who murdered Caylee? For all the loving Mom's and Grandma's there has to be an answer. This was no accident, it was murder...I know it and millions of American people know it. Sadly every tax payer in Florida paid for this horror verdict. What's Casey going to do now, write a book on how to. This female should not have a minute of sanity for the rest of her life. Every women who has a son needs to fear CASEY ANTHONY because you don't know where she's going to turn up. Please Piers, make so sanity out of this trial.

There has not been a more obvious micarriage of justice in our natonal court system since the O.J. Simpson case. In the Simpson case, the deaths were of two grown adults. Here, we lost the life of an innocent two year old. No, Mr. DERSHOWITZ. Here justice is not just blind, it is deaf to the cries of a lost child, and dumb to the facts of the prossecution. Justice WAS NOT SERVED !

Everyone, including me is upset since someone killed a child. However we have to remember that that is the coronor's call and was TOTALLY based on Casey's actions in the 30 days after her daughters disappearance and nothing based on fact as they so testified. So if it were some kind of accident then who are we after? Based on my expierience with coronor's a major part of thier conclusions are speculation and assumption which may have abosuletly nothing to do with the facts. It took me 9 weeks and countless hours to convince our coronor that there was 0% chance that my wife committed suicide....He later changed it to Undeterminable after I could show him that all his speculation and conclusion contained NO merrit or support.

I'm glad they decided on the right verdict. The media like yourselves found her guilty from the beginning & there's where American law stinks. Once a trial is in session, then no one but no one should be castigating that she or anyone else in any court of law is guilty of a crime, especially when the verdict could be death. That is for juries to decide & so if there is a hint of a doubt in their minds at the end of the trial, they have to give a NOT guilty verdict. Thank God, justice won the day.

Piers, just said the jury found Casey innocent! WRONG. Juries never find a person innocent. The jury decided the case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Innocence is not a factor.

Piers Morgan is an idiot. He presents as a reason why Casey Anthony was guilty was that she did not report her child missing for 31 days. Was he watching the trial? The defense explained that on the first day. Casey did not report her daughter missing because she knew the child was buried where her skeletal remains were later found. DO YOUR HOME WORK, PIERS –you know, JOURNALISM 101! The justice that was served in this entire case is THE HUGE SLAP IN THE FACE to the media. Boy do they all have EGG all over their faces and justly so. Hopefully, audiences will view MEDIA EXPERTS(?) with a well deserved skepticism in the future.

What has changed from the days of Puritans? What went on outside the court room in Florida was plain evil? The hysterical Nancy Grace had condemned Cassy Anthony before the trial. Nancy Grace and friends would have had Cassy Anthony stoned in the public square like the Good Christians did by calling the fallen witches all in the name of God or Justice. Non of us were in Cassy Anthony's shoes, non of us saw what took place yet every one had an opinion of there own. Oh yes she lied, she lied and she lied..... she lied to her self as well did she not? George Bush lied, the war he created is still going on. Ours son's and daughter are returning home in body bags quietly at night with out Nancy Grace and Dr Phil radar of media rating. No one cares how a baby is aborted, we have given this a name we call it "ABORTION"'. We don't see the media showing us graphic footage of this killing or Nancy Grace out side the abortion clinic why? We call this a woman's "choice" and every thing about this killing gets erased. A trouble teenage goes through with pregnancy and has her baby is quite commendable so she was immature had emotional issues ( quite normal at this age) and not quite responsible or so she lied. Why did she lie? Could it be because of the leaches like Nancy Grace who would make mince meat out of her? Lies normally leads to another lie why Dr Phill? How much of this case was media hype? How different was this to the days when "Good Christians"gatheregering stone or take part in stoning and burning the witches? A mother lost her baby in a swimming pool accident and panicked maybe went insane.
Mr B Jr daughter drowned in a swimming accident he handled it like a man. Accidents do happen, how we react differs until the media and animals step in. Cassy Anthony needed love and help, grief does different things to different people but what did we heard was a very crazy Nancy Grace who also needs evaluation and help. People need to wake up we have big names lie daily ..

I don't think justice was done in this case, and i think perhaps this was for 2 reasons: for one, i don't think that this should have been tried as a capital murder case....i think it would be very hard to get 12 jurors to agree to a possible death sentence in any situation...many are against the death sentence to begin with, and it could have been off-putting to at least some of the jurors....secondly, i think the jurors were suffering from jury fatigue... after a plethora of so-called experts and laying blame on everyone but the defendant, i think they just wanted to get the heck out of sad as that is

Your hyperbolic side is showing, as is that of your distastefully bloodthirsty correspondent. Words like "shocking", "escape justice", "make my stomach" turn and "popular belief" all suggest that OPINION is primary in a decision such as this. Indeed, our justice system was designed by our Founding Fathers to protect the innocent from conviction.
Justice in our country means evidence of law, rule of law and decision by law. When the long of the law comes to my door, or to that of my family or friends, I will want what all of us want: a fair decision by an unbiased jury. And anyone claims they would act differently is lying to us. And themselves.

We should all rejoice that despite a thousand hours of media pundits – some with ratings-driven axes to lucratively grind – that justice was done for this young woman. She will have to live with her knowledge of what happened and will have to come to peace with the death of her beautiful daughter. Let us hope that she rises to these burdens.

Allan Dershowitz is wrong to say that our criminal justice system is and should be unconcerned with truth and justice. He is confusing a system of pure procedural justice with a system of imperfect procedural justice. Social justice should be considered to be a matter of pure procedural justice–if the procedures are just, then the result is ipso facto just. But that standard is not appropriate for a criminal justice system. The procedures in a criminal trial should be in place to lead generally, however imperfectly, to acquitting the innocent and convicting and justly punishing the guilty. If a criminal justice system does not sort truth from error and produce just results in the vast majority of cases, that particular criminal justice system is unjust and should be reformed or replaced.

Mr. Dershowitz is also wrong to claim that if guilt cannot be proven with absolute certainty, then a juror should vote to acquit. That standard would lead to all accused being freed. Criminal cases are all based on empirical evidence. All empirical arguments are subject to doubt. They can never be proven with complete certainty. The standard should be is the accused probably guilty without a reasonable doubt, not a philosophical doubt or a far-out remote doubt.

Those video's & photo's of mother & child only show a happy child & mother relationship. Maybe it was an accident committed by one or other of the grand parents & that Casey tried in some way to protect or go along with them in trying to hide & not report the child's death. That is a fact that could be proven too, but there is no evidence so we'll never know. But you can't say it could not be a probability.

Unless a mother is certifiably insane, no mother would go 31 days without reporting her child missing, particularly if she thought the babysitter had kidnapped her and the mother's father is a police detective! No mother would be out partying continually in the days after her daughter died, nor would she if the child was considered "missing". This precious child didn't drown, she was murdered. And this psychopathic liar and life destroyer will never feel an ounce of guilt or sadness except for herself.

Pierce and all of America as well as the world, IF we as a people care so much, not only for Caley, BUT for justice as well, would God not care as much? So i Would SAY that WE as a people SHOULD NOT be so overwhelmed with the failure of providing justice for Caley, because GOD WILL give HIS judgment not only to Casey, but ALL mankind for ALL injustices that WE ALL ENDURE THROUGHOUT OUR LIFETIME! So i NEED to say to the WORLD that we SHOULD NOT be disheartened, show disgust or to even make it worse by passing OUR OWN judgment, LIKE THE TERRORISTS OF THE WORLD and those who need self satisfaction, by not giving it to GOD for HIM to provide JUSTICE! LET US LIVE BY FAITH AND KNOW THAT WE CANNOT KEEP LIFE SUSTAINABLE WITHOUT SHARING WITH ONE ANOTHER IN GOD'S LOVE!

Casey Anthony became a free psychopathtic, child murderer when the defense gave a presentation of a long ridiculous list of things that were not discovered or in evidence ...........The prosecution did not challenge that ridiculous presentation ???

Duct tape- no DNA or fingerprints
Garbage Bag- no DNA, fingerprint, fibers, etc.
No trace evidence of club drugs in hair
No trace evidence of cloroform in hair
The brain composition and color in the skull
    No proof of child abuse

The State prosecutor could have won arugments on everything the defense attorney presented on his poster boards.

The prosecution should have did thier homework during the night before their closing arugment. 1 .Presented the expert evidence they had in poster board format, then, 2. Ended with the argument the lady prosecutor actually presented to the court:
The body was found in an area known for flooding ( swap-like area ) after 31days. Therefore DNA and fibers were destroyed by the elements..
Also animals and insects (including food chain of species) ate away a lot of evidence.
Most club and prescription drugs remain in hair up to 1 mth to 6 mths depending on type of drug. What thye of drugs did they test for and when? He should have called in an expert to help him organize a presentation explaing how the swap-like area contributed to the deterioration of DNA evidence on tape.THEN: refine, organized and detail the State Prosecutor's evidence. The State Prosecutor had enough lawyers and assistants on his team to organize a great presentation.
Why did Casey use chloroform. Did she know chloroform have limited lifetime in human system.
To prove child abuse and neglect the prosecution should have summoned all of Casey's party friends and boyfriend in for questioning under oath before the trail started to verify what nights she was out partying and compared the dates with nights Casey had her parents babysit Calley. How many nights were she at the clubs during a week (cameras in most clubs). Did she leave Calley alone sedated or chloroformed ( at a location or in the truck of her car) while she was partying or chasing after TONY. Did she attempt to find a JOB or enroll in College to contribute to the care of Calley. How much was she actually inloved in the daily care of Calley. NOT JUST PLAY WITH HER ON CAMERA WHEN IT IS CONVIENT FOR HER. Why did she leave Calley with at her father's house if he was such a monsterous molestor. Child molestation was not an issue until she got caught up in her crazy lies. Casey was the core problem in that household not her mother brother or father. She manipulated her mother against her father and brother. Now she has Manipulated the justice system with the help of lawyer that did a great job of implanting reasonable doubts within 12 jurors.
The prosecution should have went for life in prison without parole. BEYOUND A REASONABLE DOUBT WOULD NOT HAVE HAD SUCH AN IMPACT ON THE 12 JURY VERDICT.

"Experts" excited about every twist and turn, live pictures from the courtroom, "expert analysis"... more like watching coverage of a football game or Nascar race, not a trial for a two year old little girl who's life was ended so tragically soon. Piers kept going back to his question "what kind of mother would not report her missing child until after 30 days?" However, the alternative theory, that Caylee accidentally drowned, there was panic, confusion, and a cover up, not for murder, but for an accident. That is not a "missing child." The idea that Caylee was "missing" was supposedly a lie. So Piers's belief that Caylee was "missing" is not quite accurate, but more rhetorical.

As a retired police Officer of Pinellas County Florida living in U.K. I can only say I am not surprised at this verdict. I now reside in England and even everybody here is talking about my home town failure to prosecute an obvious murderer. I know very little about the case and I hope Piers can shed some light on it this evening. I do know that whenever an officer brings a case of false information to a Police Officer to the State Attorney's Office in Pinellas County it is almost always no filed. When you ask why the State Attorney just says, "People always lie to Police!" Well yes why because they can get away with it.
It takes brilliant Police Officer today to bring a murder case to court as the laws favor the guilty. Brilliant Police Officers do not stay in law enforcement long when faced with a lenient court system, long hard hours, overworked and poor wagesand a society that can get away with murder. My home town has always suffered a relaxed legal system which is beginning to become world-wide historical news. What will it take to wake the clogged underpaid system up. I will leave it to Piers Morgan to open a few eyes .....
