Tonight Bill Maher sits down with Piers Morgan to talk the latest news, President Barack Obama and more. The list of GOP hopefuls is growing and it could soon include both Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin. Which female does Maher think could lead the GOP? Maybe Bachmann. "At least she's somebody who can read." He says he really doesn't know who he would pick but he "absolutely" believes Sarah Palin could become president. "This Republican party is not your father's Republican party."

Dear Bill – While I consider you partially entertaining and somewhat on point. You are clearly lacking material and visibility on the grander scheme of life and dare I say it... Common-Sense – Sara clearly has a value that is unique and while no one is perfect ... Sara has decide her best course for financial growth and prosperity is to talk about the political issues at large vs actually being accountable to sustain them or change them. She should be applauded for making the most of her limited capabilities and I am sure she will do well in the chosen path of capitalism. As for President.– Common Sense – Bill Common Sense – Ask yourself if you are really being sensible.
Common-Sense-1776: You appear quite intelligent, so it's difficult to fathom what you possibly see in Sarah Palin as a viable political candidate. First and foremost – she QUIT her last elected position. Secondly – tell me what her ideas are beyond complaining about Obama. That's ALL she does. I'm unhappy with some of Obama's performance, but one thing he got right is that in general, Republicans are indeed the Party of No. Their platform as long as I can remember is to be negative, and to actively stifle whatever initiatives a Democratic president puts forward, even if the American people want it.
There will be a very long line of people leaving the country if Sara 'baby' becomes president.

Look into your recent economic history. The only time jobs were created and unemployment stayed down in the last 20 years was when Clinton was in office. Ronald Reagan AND George W. Do they not teach history anymore? Johnson lowered taxes during teh Viet nam war two years. Roosevelt lowered business taxes in his last term during WWII. Britian lowered it's taxes for four years during WWII.

Not all states require you to choose a political party in the primary. Here in Washington, we just threw out the primary as a way to save the state money. Of course, what we lose are all the political junkets to our state and the dollars that would have been spent here.
So, for the WA resident below, your position is that Bill Maher (1) is a registered voter in an open primary state like WA (not CA where he does the show) and (2) given the ability to choose from a field that included ALL of the GOP candidates and ALL of the DEM candidates, he cast his ballot for GOP candidate John McCain. I presume that means he confirmed that vote in the November general election by voting once again for McCain versus the DEM nominee.
I find it amazing that we constantly worry about taxing the wealthy but worry not about the nearly 50% who pay no federal income taxes. Might we consider lifting our society to a standard where education is important and certainly leads to jobs (unemployment among college graduates is about half the rate of non-graduates). If we continue on the slippery slope we are on, we will certainly need to tax the wealthy more as the percentage of those paying no taxes is on a slippery slope upward. I wonder if everyone thinks we're all in the situation we are in through no fault of our own.

For one thing I cannot believe he had Bill Maher on the show, a person that may think he understands the world but does not. He states that we need to cut the American Military and bringh them all home, I guess if that is the case we should pull all funding from the UN and NATO, stop being the worlds police force and let the genocide begin along with giving up protection to our key allies in Europe and Asia.
If he is seriuos about this then he should be screaming at the top if his lungs that congress is paid too much. 160K per year when in fact 60% of senators and 40 % of congressmen are millionaires. No one is bringing good reduction ideas tothe table such as selling off the TVA facilities, Selling off Fannie and Freddie, fixing the postal service or disbanding it since it is in the red all the time.
We also have an imbalance of who pays taxes. Liberal Progressivism is dead and it is now time for all Americans to stand up and stop bashing each side and have a meaning full discussion, Obama should embrace his own debt commisions findings instead of dismissing them, they have the answers in front of them use them and the American People can assist with the ideas we all have.

Did Piers Morgan and Bil Maher just assert that China has a small military compared to the 500,000 person U.S. military? China has the largest military in the world (no surprise given its population size) and the largest standing army in the world at 2.5 million members, which is still larger than 500,000 the last time I checked. Oh, and here's a question for Maher regarding America being a "dumb country": was the election of Obama in 2008 evidence in support of this contention? If you claim it is an exception, did does the country move from dumb to smart from year to year depending on whether it agrees with Bill Maher?

If Bill Mahre thinks we should pay more taxes, then he should get out his checkbook and write the government a check, right on the air, so that we can see that he really believes the garbage he spouts.
It is interesting how some think a tax increase will take care of our financial woes. I'm sure we all realize many of us have constantly kept ourselves in less than desirable financial situations because we spent more than we take in, and that never seemed to change as incomes grew with wage increases, etc. I have seen nothing to suggest that the government operates any differently.
Actually, it's not a tax increase it's rescinding tax cuts that never should have happened. Escpecially during a war. It essentially cut the Governments salary. How does that play out in persoanl lives when your employer basically says ....."we want to cut your salary .... this will take you from being able to pay all your bills off within two years to putting you in severe debt at the same time you are about to retire.... and one more thing... I am goind to start another fight with another one of your neighbors across the street and you are going to pay for all the damages. How's that sound? Did you like hearing them say that? Did you you have a choice?
I want Kathleen to become the spokesperson for the liberals in the U.S. Conservatives would never lose another election. If the taxes are like a salary from taxpayers to the government as an employee, it is the only salary system in the world where the employee sets the salary and the raised and the employee gets to confiscate the employer's money.
Since we are playing the employer analogy game, if increasing the tax rates is not a tax increase but merely "rescinding tax cuts," I am sure that if an employer rescinded the last raise and busted a employee down to minimum wage in the real world, Kathleen would support that because it is not pay cut, but merely "rescinding a prior raise."

I watched the interview with Bill Maher last night because I enjoy listening to Bill Maher. Unfortunately Piers Morgan kept interrupting him to talk about himself or ask another question. I thought it was a terrible interview.

I would not blame these women for talking to God without considering that religions do what they can to persuade people of the supernatural. The Opus Dei sect for example, archive information on people who dont belong to the sect, members have to report on all conversations they have with outsiders, any team sent out by them to try to pull you into their group can then seem to have miraculouse knowledge of you. To be wacky, I would say telepathy exists, it is an uncertain science so there is no proving it, and those who mediate a lot get good at it, praying orders of monks and nuns or the evangelists who go into trances all the time, telepathy is a right side of the brain activity i imagine, that is made easier if you are have put aside the left hand side for a while by going into a trance and what you can do with telepathy is incredible, apart from direct communication with others heads, if you think about it it also means the ability to use for a while the minds of the person your victim is talking to, that person can say to the victime what they want him or her to say. The religious are changing our world one person at a time in the style of those letteres that you recieve one of and then send out four and then get back thousands. If their members all get good at or are taught manipulating and indoctrinating and are told to make the effort, to use this ability to bring others into line, with this or that christian group, then that is a lot of people to indoctrinate others with, on a one to one basis. Populations should be warned against pretence of the supernatural to indoctrinate them.
One to one conversion also has the advantage of making it hard for people to judge what is happening to them. If you see another person being coerced you think how cruel and unreasonable in the case of it being these things and it normaly is unreasonable in the case of indoctrination, their game is to say you need this or that religion because you are bad and they aren't to fussy about finding out how selfish you are before they accuse you of egoism say, not to mention their use of negative suggestion you are depressed you need us whether you are or not, they are concentrateing on how usefull to them criticism is, not on how true it is. If it happens to you on a one to one basis it is harder to determine whether you are over protective of yourself when you react to other people differing from you or to criticism of yourself and put a stop to it or if it is justified, to know if the criticisers are being abusive and doing you down to more easily manipulate you rather than because you need correcting.
