READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Tonight’s episode of “Piers Morgan Tonight” is a show for every American. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat or Republican. It doesn’t matter if you support President Obama or will be voting for the next GOP candidate. It doesn’t matter if you’re teacher, a doctor, a janitor, a banker, a mother, a father or in my case, a producer.
If you are part of the 99% or know someone who is, tonight's "Piers Morgan Tonight," live at 9pmET, is for you.
As more and more Americans are coming forward with their stories of struggle, unemployment, lack of health insurance and financial stability, we decided to create a show centered around sharing these stories. We are asking the tough questions on what this country should do next. Michael Moore, the outspoken activist, author and documentarian, will be joining Piers tonight for an in-depth discussion on where he thinks this country is heading and what should be done next.
When we put out a call for people to share their stories with us, I never imagined the type of response we would get. I spoke to Lindsey, a graduate student getting her Masters in teaching, with thousands of dollars of student debt and no health care, wondering if she would be employed upon graduation. I spoke to Alan, a 56-year-old man who was laid off and lost his home to foreclosure. He is now living with roommates, working in retail just to get health insurance and a steady pay check. Marsha, a grandmother of five, can’t find work as a seamstress so she spends her days knitting hats for the people at Occupy Wall Street hoping to make a difference. Donna, an unemployed mother of two young boys in New Jersey, was excited to come to the show and share her story, but she had to choose between the cost of the train ticket and paying her $800 a month health insurance.
These are just some of the stories we encountered from people all over the country and they are representative of so many more. No matter how you feel about the President, Michael Moore, Occupy Wall Street or the 99%... we are hoping tonight’s dialogue sheds some light for 100% of Americans. Tune in tonight 9pmET.
You can also join the conversation by tweeting using #OccupyPiersTonight as well as using the call-in number (877) 648-3639.

Wealth, Democracy & Tax Policy
The recent protests in New York and other cities around the U.S., regarding the issues of economic
inequality, are part of a public awakening to the growing wealth disparity in the United States. Perhaps
the most hotly debated and contentious issue of the 2012 Presidential election year will be directly related
to the problem of wealth disparity; and the debate regarding the future tax policy of the United States
Government. The debate, so far, has centered on the proper level of taxation, especially for those earning
over $1 million per year, and individuals worth in excess of $100,000,000.
Every dollar spent by the government must be paid for either by taxes or by more borrowing with greater
debt. The only way to make more tax cuts now is to have bigger and bigger deficits and to borrow more
and more money. Either we or our children will have to bear the burden of this debt. This is one kind of
chicken that always comes home to roost. An unwise tax cutter, my fellow citizens, is no real friend of the
taxpayer.8 (President Eisenhower 1954)
During his tenure as President, Eisenhower successfully utilized the graduated income tax to balance
the budget, and did so in a growing and expanding economy.
Over the last three decades we have seen unprecedented increased government spending and significant
tax cuts – especially for the wealthy. The results are massive budget deficits and, due to the compounding
effect of wealth, a growing disparity in wealth and declining quality of life for our less fortunate citizens.
These results are neither fiscally nor socially sustainable.
america need to awake, we don't have Congress work for the people anymore, the President need our help there is no such thing one man acting as Savior...USA has no hope for the next election to come if the way our goverment and politicians acting right now, USA DOOM DAY are coming, we need a Congress work hand and hand with the President to do common good for Americans in whole, for the last 5 decates we have Congress only acting for half of americans not for all Americans and thing get worst and worst, it time for change, the house devided nothings will get done good for americans under this Congress, time to vote them out set term limit, make politicians sign in the paper what they promise to americans what they will help or do, the reason USA go south because Congress and White house not get their Ass together to do what right and good for americans, it that what we voted them for??? if we don't want more americans go walfare then give them good jobs but Corporations in USA and Gop refused to hire americans for good pay jobs, corporations they want more $$ so they make americans work as their slaves, as some say: "i am Lucky to have a job", corporations in USA they knew if they close factory, lay off americans then more americans became slaves for them so they can pick and chose from, what did Congress and President do??? nothings, they even protected them instead work for americans side, it is sad when we live in USA today and see more poors and broken americans became slaveries for Corporates Greedy in USA, we so proud that we have the best of everythings in USA but not many americans can afford it, it is also sad when we lived in the Richest country in the world but we r Broken, lately Congress and President let CEO Corporations Greedy run this country, more americans wonder why more rich get richer?? ask ourself who did run USA last two decate? I am glad to see this on prime time television. I will spread the word. Many people have misconceptions about this movement. I hope this episode will wake up some of the 99% still sleeping.
It is sad, but why does Michael think he can blame some who have done wrong for all economic woes. His frame of reference is 60 years or so of prosperity. He does not relate to the dust bowls of the dirty thirties, the great depression, poverty of the deep south, the united farm workers of Chavez. Sh-t happens. The US is not immune. Suck it up and move on. There is no 4 year fix for the problem. Capitalism is the uneven distribution of wealth;socialism the uneven distribution of misery. The cycle will pass, but not before more deep pain. No one person or group is to blame for the whole mess.
How do you call in to this show???
How do you make a post I can not figure this out...I would like to bring the Eminent Domain corruption that goes on in this country having recently personally experienced it!
It is easy to complain as you suffer long. Propose something constructive, other than motherhood and apple pie!
I'm part of the 99% ... but having Michael Moore as a "spokesperson" or "expert" (you can't be serious) won't help me one bit. Wow.
Michael Moore was the most important guest to appear on the show and should be on every week. Does this look to you to be a less than worthy discussion? Would you rather watch the hollywood idiots?
Hello Michael and Piers,
Thank you for this program that you are presenting. I am one of the 99% who recently woke up.
My husband and I are currently collecting our lives back together in light of the recent financial crisis. We realize now that we won’t get to retire like our parents did. We realize that we will not be able to afford children like our parents did. And we realize that the American DREAM has been ripped out from under us.
Our question is about the taxing of USA companies who "dump" workers in this nation to employ foreign workers to do the same job at lower rates. We have watched this happen over and over again in many places in the United States and the question is… WHY are we letting this happen? What do you propose to be a solution in the future? I do agree that the answer to this question will be a “double edged sword” because of the politics we currently have in place.
I am not out there protesting (yet) but I can say that this is absolutely disgusting to me. I stand and put my hand over my heart daily to pledge allegiance to the flag. The USA is letting hard working and educated people suffer from what I see in communities all across our nation. We all know that a strong middle class IS the driving force for a country to thrive. I see these suddenly poor people being snuffed out on an almost daily basis now.
Adrienne and Don
-Raleigh, North Carolina
Senator Bernie Sanders,(Independent from Vermont),in a Congressional Joint Economic Committee meeting on October 4, 2011, addressed this issue and noted that the top 1% of Americans earn more income than the bottom 50%, and the wealthiest 400 Americans own more wealth than the next 150 million Americans combined.
Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain
point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise. (Jefferson 1785)
… I believe in a graduated income tax on big fortunes, and in another tax which is far more easily collected
and far more effective - a graduated inheritance tax on big fortunes, properly safeguarded against evasion
and increasing rapidly in amount with the size of the estate...The inheritance tax... is both a far better method of taxation, and far more important for the purpose ofhaving the fortunes of the country bear in proportion to their increase in size a corresponding increase andburden of taxation. 6 (Roosevelt 1907)
Republican President Theodore Roosevelt, in particular, was concerned that a wealthy oligarchy was taking over the US.
Thomas Jefferson, (1743-1826)
The property of this country is absolutely concentrated in a very few hands... I am conscious that an equal
division of property is impracticable. But the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much
misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property...3
(Jefferson 1785)
Theodore Roosevelt, (1858-1919)
The absence of effective state, and, especially, national, restraint upon unfair money getting has tended to
create a small class of enormously wealthy and economically powerful men, whose chief object is to hold
and increase their power...4 (Roosevelt 1910)
Dwight Eisenhower, (1890-1969)
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence... The
potential for disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.5 (Eisenhower 1961)
The two solutions championed by these exceptional Republican Presidents were the graduated income tax
and the inheritance tax.
Warren Buffett, contemporary investment genius and the “Oracle of Omaha,” wrote in an Op-Ed for the
New York Times:
But for those making more than $1 million — there were 236,883 such households in 2009 — I would raise
rates immediately on taxable income in excess of $1 million, including, of course, dividends and capital
gains. And for those who make $10 million or more — there were 8,274 in 2009 — I would suggest an
additional increase in rate. My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly
Congress. It’s time for our government to get serious about shared sacrifice.9
Note: A hedge fund manager earning $1billion per year has approximately $832 million of discretionarysavings/spending per year. (Congress passed a special law taxing hedge fund manager’s earnings as capital gains at 15%)
The issue is beyond the tax structure of corporations. It is an issue of wealth disparity. Who "owns" the corporations and "controls" congress? Has a plutocracy has now taken over the government? Have we lost the democracy?
Income, from those 8,274 families earning over $10,000,000, received only 19% from wages in 2009. Eighty one percent (81%) of income came from dividends, interest, and tax free interest. Dividends and interest are taxed at a federal 15% tax rate and at a 0% tax rate on municipal bonds. Wealth distribution showed in 2007 that the top 1% of households owned 34.6% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19% had 50.5%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 85% of household wealth. “..the lowest two quintiles hold just 0.3% of the wealth of the United States.” (Wealth, Income, and Power G. William Domhoff (updated January 2011) http://sociolog.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html) Wake Up America! You are at risk!
This is a World Movement, http://girlfromdetroit.blogspot.com~ China, Spain and London. Words from Arianna Huffington: I was in Spain on October 15th when half a million took to the streets of Madrid to voice their frustration with a political system that has failed the people of Spain - in the same way our own "Los Indignados" (Spanish for "The Outraged") are voicing their anger and frustration at a system that has failed the "99 percent" here in America. I was struck by how family-oriented the protests were. But when I looked at how the media covered them, instead of the thousands of families and children and retirees who marched in towns all across Spain, what dominated the airwaves were burning cars from the protest in Rome - which was hijacked by a coterie of masked anarchists. Just as solutions to the problems facing Europe and America are not going to be found in traditional political ways, the truth of what's happening is not going to be found in traditional media coverage either.

Doug Short states: “In real terms, households in the bottom quintile earned less in 2009 than they
did in 1989—twenty years earlier.” i.e. the growth in household expenses exceeded the income growth
of those households in the lowest quintile. While “In the top quintile, the annualized income growth
increased… 84% during the same period.” “The lack of sustained growth in household incomes is no
doubt a major factor in the general decline in consumer confidence over the past decade.” 1
"In terms of types of financial wealth, the top one percent of households have 38.3% of all privately held stock, 60.6% of financial securities, and 62.4% of business equity. The top 10% have 80% to 90% of stocks, bonds, trust funds, and business equity, and over 75% of non-home real estate. Since financial wealth is what counts as far as the control of income-producing assets, we can say that just 10% of the people own the United States of America."
Short paragraph taken from

Very interesting study made in 2007 showing a pie of the financial wealth in the US and who owns it. I hope the info gets around before the next elections.
Harry M. Markopolos – Financial Fraud Investigator & Author of “No One Would Listen”
In this King World News exclusive interview, Harry Markopolos the Whistleblower who brought down Bernie Madoff’s $65 billion Ponzi scheme reached out to KWN with the latest fraud he and his team have uncovered. Markopolos stated, “The Bank of New York is going to go down, It’s been a hell of a crime spree for the bank, but now they are being brought to justice.”
Markopolos also told KWN, “The New York Attorney General filed suit on Tuesday (against Bank of New York Mellon) for stealing money from pension funds on currency transactions. This theft has been from tens of millions of Americans, policemen, firemen, librarians, municipal workers, judges and the list goes on and on and they’ve been doing it for decades.
Mark Cuban and his thoughts on Wall ST computer Trading
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is calling a technical foul on Wall Street traders’ fast breaks.
The billionaire entrepreneur says high-frequency traders, or HFTs, are corrupting the market and has called for a tax on trading as a way to tame increasingly volatile markets.
“People are going to scream bloody murder, of course,” the NBA owner told The Post. “But we have to ask ourselves, what’s the purpose of the stock market? It’s supposed to be a source of capital for growing business.”
“It’s lost that purpose,” he said.
A tax on trading - say 25 cents a share per transaction - would help weed out short-term traders, such as computer-driven traders that buy and sell in milliseconds, Cuban said. HFTs have become a source of growing aggravation for traditional, long-term investors, who blame the black-box group for ramping up market volatility.
Patrick Byrne CEO of OVERSTOCK.COM
On Wall ST Biggest ongoing CRIME vs AMERICA
Naked Shorting Fraud Stealing from America
For six years Overstock.com has waged a war to expose Wall Street mischief. We did not go looking for a fight, but our company was attacked, and we learned we were not alone: the same manipulation-for-profit tools that Wall Street had deployed against us had also been deployed against many American companies, harming job creation, innovation, and economic growth. We knew that if left unchecked and unexposed, Wall Street's games could ultimately damage U.S. capital markets.
You should be a small business self employed person when a city government comes along & gets the option to take your building private property & home to build a hockey ring & have to sell to avoid an eminent domain action voted for by a city council NO vote of the people & debt will be created that will most likely kill the town!!!
No talk about Eminent Domain & that is systemic theft of private property that in many cases is not in default on a mortgage!
HEY MIKE EXPOSE THESE CRIMES,, dont let wall st send you to DC,,, These Crimes exist today and the 99% has NO clue that their jobs are gone and pensions looted is due to these crimes... And they still do it, The SEC protects them .
I gave you 3 experts on 3 CRIMES get in touch with them and expose it and protect the people
I don't know if this will post. People have to check an organizations named ALEC. It stands for American Legislative Exchange Council. It is its objective to have its members who are corporations to design policies that go to congress. Some of those policies have been adopted and pass "word for word" as they have been sent by ALEC. This kind of organization is like a union whose purpose is to protect the corporations by using our government to enact laws the benefits them. It is funny that the GOP control states are getting rid of the unions, that private companies want to get rid of the unions but yet they have organizations to protect them.
Hello Fellow Citizens!!
I'am so dang excited about the town hall tonight!! Man, has Mr. Michael Moore come a long way; from death threats to people saying he is not a patriot. He finally has time to shine at a town hall on CNN and speak the truth. Thank you to CNN also for being fair and balanced. True journalism.
Mr. John
Why on earth do the American taxpayers pay for all those fat cat lawmakers medical plans great benifits & full pensions while they deny those very same taxpayers the same ;they rave about having THE GREATEST MEDICAL in the world it sure is I guess if you don't have medical & have to watch your family members die for lack of medical ins I've heard where all these cuts are going to be made but the amazing thing is not one of the fat cats said I don't need the medical nor the pension because I do well enough without it The new Republican t shirt should read 'WHATS MINE IS MINE & WHATS YOURS IS MINE TOO!
How do we get our voices heard when there is a great idea out there. I've just come back to the US after spending 17yrs overseas. I've been working on a plan for 'global peace' and it's now ready. It's my mitzva to the world.
How right of you to know the true obligation to create mitzpha
I'd love to watch but I can't. I had to cut expenses so my TV is VERY basic cable now and I no longer receive CNN.
TRH Mark Twain, Twain said" If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you read the newspaper you are misinformed" the same can be said about the cable news,..... whereever it come from.
You are missing nothing by not seeing CNN. I was dismayed at the level of antagonism from Mr. Morgan when he was talking to the crowd or to M. Moore. What we really need is more people who will be CIVIL not distainful or challenging., We need to listen to each other. i recommend you surf and find the reactions form MSNBC and Current TV. You will learn much more and it will be instructive not divisive.
My dad raised 7 of us one one income in the 80's. What happened? I have seen the living wage never change, while prices go up and inflation continue. We have created a WalMart nation, except that we can no longer afford WalMart. Companies want us to spend yet we have nothing left. This is what we call Capitalism?
Michael I'm loving the MSU hat. GO MICHIGAN STATE coming from EL!
These demostrators are too stupid to realize that the government has made the rules for these banks to charge what they can , Barney Frank Chris Dodd, Dick Durbin and yes even Obama, The politicans don't care what joe sixpack thinks, CNN is just as bad look who sponsors their shows, big money , big pharma, big everything!!! Michael Moore is a two faced idiot, HE IS IN THE 1%!!! as for the "educated idiots" who get useless degrees, you ever think about getting an engineering degree or something you can actualy use to get a job??? YOU HAVE STUDENT LOAN/// PAY IT OFF NOBODY OWES YOU A DAMN THING!!!!!
Love Occupy but dont like people like Michael Moore who is a complete opportunist posing like he really gives a crap about any of us. Likely just working to get his new doc. He is not the face of the movement.
There is no way that Michael Moore is part of the 1%.
He has a right to speak for the middle class..
But even if he is His voice is welcome as he did not get his stepping on the necks of others??? Not to my knowlege...He had an idea followed his passion & got a little mauzel(Sp)l!!!
Best examples of Corporate Justice by "NBC" are contained in the links below.
First... NBC and Comcast spend 5.7 million in lobbying the Federal Goverment to approve their merger:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/comcast-spent-57-million-lobbying-203708
Then... "The head of the Federal Communications Commission, just a few months after voting to allow one of the largest corporate mergers in history, has accepted a high paying job at the new giant NBC/Comcast media company."
http://www.consumerwarningnetwork.com/2011/05/31/legalized-corruption-the-comcast-merger-and-the-fcc/
If that isn't good enough, then how about this...
Another great example of NBC's Corporate Justice is contained in this wonderful article from Wired "U.S. Copyright Czar Cozied Up to Content Industry, E-Mails Show."
http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2011/10/copyright-czar-cozies-up/
All these explains why it has been over straight 60 Copyright cases that have lost in the 9th and 2nd circuits. 20 years of losses. Not one win, when going up against a Major Network or Studio. "So no one steals in Hollywood?" Right. Corporate Justice.
Death Of Copyright by Steven T. Lowe:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/44426862/Death-of-Copyright-Steven-T-Lowe-Lowe-Law-P-C
Thank you for tonight's program..BUT could you please shut up and stop talking over Michael Moore...You are asking very good questions but not letting him fully answer...interrupting, almost yelling over him......Otherwise it's a good program
Please ask Michael...
Is it time for us to re-engineer democracy,....by sending representatives to craft legislation, present it to the people to vote on electronically. Then the lobbyists could spend there money to convince us that it's good legislation. There could be an automatic periodic review of the law for reaffirmation or removal. Seems like sending a few people to represent all is an out-moded model.
It is corporate America who sold us on the idea to go on credit and buy flat screens, luxury cars, houses and more and gave us that opportunity at up to 29.9%.
Yea and the greedy have to keep up with the jones's "middle class" bought what they were selling...the word that the American people forgot is NO. Nobody wanted to live within their means, and now we have to bailout people whose houses didn't appreciate at a higher enough level. Who ever said that owning a home was your key to the kingdom!
How many people do you know that did not live beyond their means that Uncle Sam bailed out? How much do you think those who "lived beyond their means" received from Uncle Sam to help them because they were "too big to fail"? Those whom you say lived beyond their means, if they had a job with good pay, they paid their bills and the government did not help them when they needed it. Only corporations, who "are people" got bail money which they used to give bonuses and pat each other in the back. They they showed profits with the people's tax money. And their share holders quaterly statements were nice and fat and they did not returned that money. That money became a gift for just being to "big to fail". And individual who is a person, has to show proof of being low income (at or under the poverty line) and have assets of less than $5000, before they get welfare from uncle Sam. Why if corporations are people, they do not have the same requirements as individuals. That is an injustice. Uncle Sam does not have enough money and food stamps are being stopped but a corporation continues showing profit and taking every money uncle Sam gives them and running away with it. What is wrong with that picture?
One reason why the middle class has gotten itself in debt over their heads has been due to being paid slave labor wages for the last 30 years due to greedy corporate America not ever being satisfied with the huge profits they make!
NEWS FLASH TO MOORE, the jobs bill was not passed because the Democrat controled senate did not want it passed!!! are they not the majority????
I understand the frustration felt by the 99%, but what do you expect to accomplish by occupying wall street? if you are looking for better regulations, trials of wall street fat cats, and real change then why don't you guys occupy federal buildings, the treasury, capitol hill, or somewhere where you can actually influence the regulators?
This banking system has been rigged from the very beginning. The more I learn about it's history the angrier I get. Everybody needs to educate themselves on the corrupted system that has brought us to this crisis. Together, in unity we can create a better life for everyone.
and what does "a better life for everyone" mean?
Thomas Jefferson actually left George Washington's cabinet because of Alexander Hamilton's banking debt on the necks of the people...Is that back far enough??? at least for the US that was 1780 about!!!
if you think we are really suffering in America today, just look at the rest of the world and you will realize how GOOD we have it!
Don't Occupy Wall Street. OCCUPY AMERICA!
The great lie that most Americans have swallowed is that "states rights" is the solution to "big government", where in fact "states rights" really means "de-regulation of big business" and so unchecked greed.
Blah, blah, blah... Go to work, get that feeling of acomplishment and prosper... Or do you want other people to do it for you? Does anyone has personal responsibility or are we going to blame others for our own failures? Maybe Michael Moore will tell you what you want to hear; but it doesn't mean it's true. Stop drinking the Kool aid.
Yea Michael why is education so expensive in this country, WHO has been running the colleges for the last 50 years??? Democrats, paying liberal professors WAYYYY to much money to do everything but teach, write their books, travel all over the world on the taxpayers dime get some TA to work for damn near minimum wage. Does the name Bill Ayers ring any bells????
Thank you Michael Moore, for your Patriotism, Focus, your Voice, your Integrity. You speak for millions. Main Street, has been forgotten, outsourced, for the pockets of the few. The system bails out unscrupulous bankers, accountants, lawyers, board rooms that plotted and pocketed, destroying an entire system, for short term gain. None- have yet been made accountable. A rising tide of prosperity, should lift all boats and pay Fair Share. Instead- Only the Skimmers, Takers and Unscrupulous, in Brooks Brothers suits, skim along- in yachts funded by customer fees and . (another great populist- Fred Schwed's book "Where are the Customer's Yachts?") systemic manipulation and deception. The outsourcing of so much- is unconscionable treason. Where are the Board Room Patriots? Country First.
The housing bubble was caused by the real estate companies and mortgage companies. Urging people to buy bigger houses with little money down. People would then buy boats, big TV's and cars withe the equity from their old home. This heated up the economy until it bust. People should have been required to stay in a home for several years or use the entire equity as a down payment.
Piers is one of the worst interviewers I have ever seen. It constantly interrupts his guest and rarely lets them actually answer his questions. He comes across as a star but he is not the one viewers come to see. Is this the best CNN can do? Tell the man to shut up after posing his question and let his quest be the show.
Micheal Moore is wrong about the companies keeping billions outside of the US. The corporations aren't keeping money out of the US because another shoe has to drop, those corporations are waiting for a tax break called a repatriation tax break. These corporations are selfish and won't bring money into the country unless they get another tax break on middle America's back.
Michael Moore is a fraud. He benefitted from the capitalistic system and made millions. Ask him if he will release his tax returns and we will see he has taken advantage of every tax break available. Secondly, nobody forced anyone to go to college and assuming the debt. That is an individual's choice. There is a potential consequence for every choice we make. Tell the protesters to stop crying like babies and stop looking for another hand out. They chose to go to expensive schools and party for 4-5 years. Now it is time to pay the bill for the party. NO TAX PAYER HANDOUTS.
Ed, Ed,..so it is okay with you that the average bank pays less than 1% interest on savings accounts while charging you 10 to 19% interest on loans. The same banks that took the government bailouts which by the way was your tax dollars. The tax system must be revamped. How is it that someone that doesn't work or a teenager with a child that doesn't work receives $4500 to $6000 in a tax refund? While a person that work everyday gets penalized in a sense by having to pay taxes. So I am penalized for working while someone that doesn't work receives the benefit. Why are corporate America fatting up their pockets with $100,000 bonuses? America will soon be like others countries with two classes, the poor and the rich without any middle class. Enjoy your "good job" while you can.
Ed: Is the only reason you say Mr. Moore is a fraud, because he has benefited from the capitalist system. Is that fraudulent behavior? Did he do it with tax payer's money? During the Bush adm. corporations received a subsidy and they left the country with tax payer's money. Mr. Bush gave money that did not belong to him to companies to "help" them invest over seas. Those companies do not pay taxes here but receive a refund for paying taxes abroad.
Do you think that when you work hard and benefit from the system is fraudulent but when a president gives money that did not belong to him, so companies use it without giving anything in return is not fraudulent?
Maybe it will do you well to adjust your thinking. Maybe your values are not really where they are supposed. The Occupy movement and the 80% who only shares 7% of the financial wealth in the US, are not against honest work, or against capitalism. Back in the day people worked, had great health care and a good living wage. Apparently this country took away the rights of workers by placing a middle man between employers and employees. The middle man being out sourcing companies who hire temp workers and these workers work indefinitely having to pay for all the benefits. What happen to the relationship of employer to employee? It is non existent since these companies are the ones who negotiate your job for you and you have no one to complain when there is a problem. Each blames the other when you ask for a raise. In other words you have a pimp you sells your skills, and takes his cut and you cannot complain to either of them. I consider that fraudulent because it keeps you a slave of two masters.
Capitalism is perfect if apply with justice and fairness. We all pay taxes and we are happy to pay them but greediness is not a virtue and in this country, greediness is considered a great asset to companies whose only purpose is to make profit without thinking of those who are helping them make that profit.
Piers,
The guilty parties in the mortgage scam are not the wage slaves that were duped, by the banks and the government. They were given all sorts of rosy dreams in order to line the pockets of the banls and corporations.
Of course not. The mortgage application is a lengthy process. People rely on mortgage companies who are supposed to tell you how much you qualify for. But, I noticed that every time people apply for a cash out refinance their home was appraised for more money. The value of houses were inflated by those looking to make a profit in the banking system "secondary market". I used to work as a mortgage processor and when you go to college there was a certain criteria to follow when it came to value. This changed greatly when the banking system tell it processors that the value is as "much as the market will bare". In the secondary market the "overnight" profits from mortgage packages were in the billions. It would start the "betting" after 5 pm being processed by 11pm it was out for the betting and by 9 am the profits would be known. To me it was not conscientious, but for those involved in the process it was a champagne sipping day's end and the bonuses rolled a-plenty .
Blame, Blame ,Blame.. The real issue here is not party politics. It is an all consuming nation that likes stuff at any price.
So putting that aside and getting to the root of the evil... So the problem is that politicians (both parties) have been paid off for political favors to allow our production to go overseas and then be imported back at little cost... thus allowing jobs to be replaced by cheap labor with no cost to the company doing the evil deed. Wake up and tax the hell out of them .
Open the US factories again with a huge tax break for jobs and not let the imports take over... hello protect your own first and then sell other nations second if they want your products!!!!!!!!!!!!!! free trade does not mean taking advantage of the nation that starts the concept. We all want other nations to fair well but not by putting our work force on government assistance, especially when it was our idea for the product and production process.
I agree with you. We all want to blame somebody or someone else for our position in this crisis. The change begins in each and every one of us. The reason we are in this crisis is not about politics, or money or corporations but about people. We, the people are always searching for bigger, better and more, only to find that less is more. Material things do nothing to satisfy us. They are temporary fixes to our need to connect with other human beings. That said, as a result of this economic and social crisis, the 99% have woken up and figured out that by connecting with each other great things can happen. It is amazing to be part of the discussions here and on the occupy forums, where people are realizing there has to be a better way.
As an Alaskan teacher of 31 years, I find it amazing and sad that Alaska and other states are getting ready to lay off
hundreds of teachers, yet we as nation of "education" have $975,000,000 for just one B1 bomber. Let's get our priorties straight. People first.
You should thank your union work rules for the layoffs!
I'm set. Debt free and doing well due to having a good job and the good sense to not live beyond my needs. .....but, I am very concerned about our future.....my kids ...grandkids...etc....The political parties blaming each other amplifies the problem. Part of what we need is a leader who can inspire optimism in our country....where is he/she?.....I DON'T SEE THEM!
I have stopped buying from "made in China" or any other country in order for Americans to make the same product A good example would be most of the football and sports clothing.
Michael Moore you are more than welcome to come to Florida and make a film about teaching in a public school under the thumb of govenor Rick Scott.
Hey Moore what is you tax rate??? You are a phonny , Have YOU ever had a real job like you spark plug making daddy??? I doubt it!!!
Don't forget about the unregulated Private Equity Firms and their consortium's.
I lost everything in the sub-prime debacle – a 5000 sq ft home, 2 acres an a marriage.. I have learned to live on less and with less and to substantially lower my living standards. I drive through wealthy neighborhoods everyday where acres of grounds are carefully landscaped and SUVs for the "kids" park in the driveway. Is everyone hurting? I don't think so and those who are not do not have a clue!
When I was getting a Master's in business 30 years ago, we were taught that the only goal of every corporation is to maximize shareholders' wealth. That's just wrong. It would work better for everyone if only people who contributed added value to the product could own stock, people like employees and suppliers. We don't need "workers," who do nothing but fling currency around the world electronically. By the way, I never became corporate person. I had my own one-person business.
I came to this country in 2000 with 100$. I never lost my job for 11 yrs and now am debt free. Wake up America.
Where is the America of old. You need to innovate, work hard and compete. That is the American way. Americans today are unemployable since either immigrants can do the same job better or because of globalization someone else somewhere is more competetive.
Yes, re-invent jobs in the US, and then when you expect a liveable wage from those jobs, watch them get shipped overseas.
Job Extraction Tax: Many state governments charge and extraction tax for the removal of minerals, timber, and other similar natural resources. In our free market economy, jobs our a major natural resource for most of us. Should not our nation charge a job extraction tax for the removal of employment "natural resources?"
Thanks, – Lee
Moore you are more than welcome to come to Illlinois and make a film about the worst corruption in the world!!!!! You will have to wait until Obama is voted out of office in 2012, Rahm Emanuel ,Pat Quinn, Mike Madigan, ALL hand picked discples of oObama the great, This state is one big overflowing sewer. We look forward to seeing you!!!!
Michael Moore said the Democratic Party is for the poor people, then wont they benefit by having more people become poor. This seems to be a conflict of interest. They want more people to be poor so they can have more votes.
Mike M is not an expert in anything. His arguments are ill formed. Giving a forum like this is without giving another voice is disappointing. Surely you could have found someone who actually knows what he is talking about. His arguments are strictly emotional from his point of view and have no basis in truth!
I am on welfare and it is horrible. Thank you Wells Fargo! This is not slander it's the truth. I lost everything. I have housing assistance and food stamps. I am 54 yrs. old and cannot find a job. No one wants you when you are middle aged. I still have $10000 in student loans trying to get a job. It is the great American nightmare.
Great show; frightfully one sided, but good show. Moore makes a number of good topical points; such as, banks aren't lending... true; but the regulators are on their backs like rabid monkeys (understandably). I know of a mfg company in need of production and sales staff; after weeks on 4+ sites/posting services, they've had 20 (TWENTY) replies to the inside sales position! 20.. at 9% unemployment? Either those 9% numbers aren't correct, or today's unemployed are unrealistic about the "new" new.
When the DOLLAR COLLAPSES in the Aftershock, please let the banks and insurance companies fail. I was against the trillion dollar bailouts in 2008 and I am vehemently against any bailouts now and in the future. Let the bankers go bust!!!
Michael,
Some states in the US are taking steps and have taken steps to limit certain categories of voters. That is why politicians are not concerned about protests, polls and opinions. The deck is being stacked as you speak. Ctizens talk about "vote them out" but it won't work-they will learn a terrible lesson at the polls. I recently tried to help a relative obtain an ID card in MD so he could start a job–we finally got it after 2 days of phoning, visiting motor vehice offices, contacting politiicians and going to the top of the bureacracy–it won't be done while the polls are open from 7am to 7pm.
Small firms: Have generated 60 to 80 percent of net new jobs annually over the last decade. so, stop giving all the money to big business, they are not the job makers.
To the lady talking about her mortage, YOU did not read your contract, you signed it, You did not understand the terms< When I took out my mortage I was asked about ever item before I signed it!!! Don't blame everyone else for your own lack of due dilliagence when making this loan!!! You are not in 2nd. grade!!!!!!!
Here here!! This show is a joke.
Put an end to private equity firms.... also stop gambling with pension funds and public money
Mr. Moore is living in a nostalgic fantasy. The world has changed, the paradigm needs to change too, see http://www.RedistributeWORK.com for the new paradigm.
We outline how to put millions back to work in months, not years. It's unconventional and counterintuitive, but simple, logical, historically proven and even proven in today's Great Recession – all without digging a deeper debt and deficit hole. And, it could bring back a middle class, and bring jobs back to urban communities.
One of the underlying problem is the offshoring of jobs. This is an unsustainable trend. Every job you take from an American and ship to India or China is one less American consumer able to afford the products you sell. The polarization in income over the past 3 decades has resulted in a marked reduction in the number of American consumers able to afford products American firms produce.
See http://www.RedistributeWORK.com for solutions!
Yes our leaders have to structure our world so that businesses can't use us up and spit us out for that extra billion a year in profit. Plz somebody who is responsible for policy hear this very important point. Its not a political left or right thing. Cut the regulations so our businesses can compete, tell a few thousand shareholders that enough each quarter really is enough. Stop the greed from killing our lives.
Just a thought...is there no responsibility for people who have been too greedy, have bought too big a house, more than they could afford, have bought too many toys, too many cars, too much stuff...is there no personal responsiblity? I agree with a lot but when people spend more than they can afford, is it not their fault just a little bit?
No one will remember the tea party???? What is Moore snorting????????
I feel terrible for that woman who described herself as middle income who is looking into whether she is better off going onto welfare. I wish everyone who was in that situation could find the strength to pick themselves up and celebrate the fact that they have jobs! So many people have lost not only their job but their self respect. Everyone has to work hard right now, harder than we ever have and then I believe that the American Dream can be possible again. Instead of fighting against ourselves and the rest of the world, we should agree to pool our energies to pull ourselves out of the mess that has been created by politicians who are solely interested in their own projects. It is time for America to heal and move on.
Mr. Moore how do you propose our government regulate corporate America better. And do you think occupy wall street will make a difference. I came from a strong union family were a regular person could provide for his family what happen? Why did our government bail out banks instead of our own people!
G E realy paying no income tax??? Who runs that company??? OOOH Jeff Imelt , Obamas buddy, Imange that?????
Does Michael Moore realize that he IS part of the 1 percent?
How about if he re-distributes his wealth to become part of the 99%
Michael Moore is a real american hero. I want to personally thank him for his efforts telling the truth about american corporate injustices. I think he is absolutely correct that the bankers are the ones that actually rule our government. The strategy of the rich has been to manipulate our government so that they make more money – New World Order, thank you very little president Bush. And destroy the middle class in the process.
Michael Moore has made over 100 million dollars..and he is complaining about capitalism????
Great show tonight, Pierce!! And what a great town hall meeting! CNN, tonight's town hall meeting is outstanding!!!
Michael Moore, you are right on!!! You always speak so well on a variety of issues, but tonight you are especially right on!!!
Can we expect to have a Tea Party town hall put on by Piers Morgan and CNN?
Being in the Human Resouces industry for years I know that the companies are hiring temp workers paid by the agencies at about $10 ph. The companies they are hired out to will not have to pay benefits and usually keep a good worker. Why hire someone for $18 ph and benefits when they can get a temp. When I left my former employment the company hired 4 temps. Two in the AM and Two in the PM. No need to hire a permanent employee for what I was making when you could continue with the agencies. Also in this economic environment the companies will continue to throw all the work to their regular employees to do 3 jobs instead of just the one they had been hired for originally. People are so afraid to complain about all the work they have to do because they are afraid they'd be fired. That is a big threat over the heads of these workers.
I work in the financial industry – there are things going on and the public has no idea ... no idea. It's worse than you can imagine.
OCCUPY the planet! You have all been duped. You were duped in the 1st crash and this is the second time ... Fool me once shame on you ... and guess what they fooled you twice ... OCCUPY!
Henry Ford – "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
A caller just said they wanted to hang bankers in a public square and neither Piers Morgan nor Michael Moore rebuked the comments and hateful, inciteful and destructive to the dialouge.
@Sam – suggest you go to ESl and learn to spell.
If you care so much about the 99%, then why film NY face to face, but Oakland from a helicopter. Hypocrite. Because you are rightly and intelligently afraid of an out of control mob. But at least tell the truth!
I cannot stand Michael Moore-as a moderate his polarity makes me nauseous! Fanaticism at best-demotivating-i am regretting time spent here.
Gee Linda, we ALL regret the time you spent here, too. Bye,now!
Let's blame the big corporation too. Home depot, Walmart, Dominos, Pizza hut, CVS, Dominos, Office Depot, Best Buy, Apple, etc. They pay minimal wage for 90% of the employees and just a few get the whole cake!!! We need a new way of doing business. A lot of people saying that the end of the world will be in 2012. Is not the end of the world but the end of the old capitalism.
Here's an idea Mario... Why don't you and your buddies start your own company and do whatever you want with it... I mean; instead of telling other people what to do with the things that they own and have actually worked and risked for.
Or are you the 99% of give me, give me and then give me more?
NEWS FLASH MARIO!!!
Companies are in business to make money.
Their goal is not to expand so they can hire more people!!!
When you, Mario, own your own business and invest your blood sweat and tears into it, you can then tell me what your goal for your business is and let's see how it differs from those great companies you named.
Michael Moore's comments hit the mark exactly! The corporations have bought their way into having very few regulations. The heavy roll-back of regulations on Wall Street are what caused the economic melt-down, which have resulted in the very deep recession that we now find our country in!
I'm appalled at the demonizing of fellow Americans that is going on here. Some have even brought up hanging them in the square. Hypocrisy is alive and well in this studio. This town hall sucked and u will remember the tea party come election time.
Piers and Michael,
In 2007, I lost my 5,000 sq. ft home, rental properties, account, and my marriage. But that wasn't enough. Fifth Third Bank sued me personally for the deficiency on a rental property for $17,000. Then they piled on interest and attorney fees totaling over $50,000. Then they garnished my wages at $4,000 per month which finally ended when I had paid more than $56,000! I got so angry that I wrote a book about my ordeal called "Wikiadvocate: My Personal Story of Empowerment in the Age of Consciousness" and "2013: Dollar Implosion." I am a physician and fully support the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Sounds like u lived beyond ur means. Nice plug for ur book.
Sounds like you took to much risk and over extended yourself there buddy...Is that the banks fault??? I would think someonbe that was smart enough to get thru med school could handle basic economics. You my freind have nobody to blame but yourself for your troubles.
There is one reason why companies, large and small, are not hiring and re-investing in America...Obamacare...they don't know what their cost is going to be because the bill does not explain it. When are all of these blowhards going to realize that the economy will not rebound until the businesses of this country can get a handle on what their costs are going to be.
Rules never scared the manufacturing community. They are driven by the demand for their products. The Health Care bill can be tweaked with. People will still pay for their insurance if they wanted to. It is people who will pay for their insurance, Republicans wanted the mandate to make sure their friends (the greedy insurance companies) have all those premiums. Then after the mandate was put in they publicly denounce it just to make the program look bad. Well, the mandate can be taken out. But, the employers do not have anything to fear. People are the ones who will pay for it. The employers will continue doing what they are doing. Paying for the part they already pay. Republcans just want to complain and their brainwashed base is buying their lies.
Republicans already made their objectives publicly known when they said just at the beginning of Obama's term, that they wanted him to be a one term president. One way to do just that is what they are doing, sabotaging every thing the president is trying to accomplish.
Lets say the US is a corporation who hires a CEO to make the corporation richer. But there is a small group of subordinates that no matter what the CEO tries this group sabotages, and the corporation can't do nothing to fire them. That example is what is happening in the US. The president's actions are being sabotaged by a small group of the leaders in congress. Their main priority have been to make sure Obama fails. So, unless that small group leaves or gets fire this will continue to happen because unlike a corporation the US will not be able to survive unless the president have success. The president is like the CEO, when CEOs fail so do the companies those CEOs work for.
My Father had an idea that I thought might work as a token accomplishment of the Occupy movement. His concept is that the only mechanism necessary to raise sufficient Capital to fund the Government and sponsor jobs programs or cover cost over-runs in medical care or social security could be covered with ease if the Government merely charged ten cents per share on each and every stock transaction. I believe that this would be a sufficient, and non-violent, accomplishment of the Occupy movement that everyone could live with. Thank you.
I am glad CNN had this program with Michael Moore. I hope CNN will show more of this in the near future.
people trust Michael Moore and if he knows whats going on the he should run as an independent I'm sure he would get votes.
This to the lady who was whining about not being able to pay her mortgage and was about to lose her home. She said both her and her husband were nurses and both still worked full time. What?? so you both still work the same jobs you had when you took out the mortgage so obviously you could not afford the home PERIOD. You claim the mortgage company may have taken advantage of you...but then said you DID NOT read the papers you signed..are you both idots?? Two college graduates sign for a note of several hundred tousand dollars and as you admitted you don't even know what kind of loan you have...say what????.Now you want the government/taxpayers (that would be me) to bail you out for being a damn fool...are you serious?? I bet you two also put a big ZERO $$ down on this home as well....now you want guys like me who were financially responsible in my purchase to save your ass....YEAH RIGHT
Yikes!!!! Once again some idgit calls in from South Carolina and makes all South Carolinians look like a bunch of stupid idiots.......thanks dude from Greer!!!!!
Wow. What a group of whiners. Get up off the couch and get to work!! One job, two, three... Whatever it takes.
Of course banks did bad things. And in years past it was other industries doing bad things. The one thing in common the whole time is bad people in congress letting, making and getting paid for all of the industries that have done bad things.
Instead of sitting around whining and urinating on public property, start voting all of congress out of a job.
Thomas Jefferson said when asked "What have you done" answered "We gave you a democracy if you can keep it".
It's time the American people got off their cow h and vote them out.
The fact that people like Nancy Palosi, Barney Frank. Harry Reed and Ted Kennedy (until he had to die to leave office) are still making laws that affect us is all you need to know to understand that Americans are asleep at the wheel.
The libs will pound on me here on this site so please, normal people, give me a thumbs up to show how we out number the minority libs in this country!!!
Mike. I have always felt that it was Reagan that destroyed our Country. He got a lot of credit for been the best President, however I have always felt that he was the best acting President in American history. I do not believe in Government control, however I believe in Government regulation and Reagan did not regulate, which left us wide open for destruction. Also, the Air Controller been ordered back to work showed lack of respect for humanity, which has escalated to crimes against humanity. He granted amnesty to all illegals and promised that it would be the last amnesty and enacted a law prohibiting illegals from working, however he never enacted E-Verify and left citizenship wide open for terrorist to come in and have babies. The Republicans are corrupt and the Democrats go along with it because it also benefits them. We have no one looking out for our best of our Country and it's citizens.
Wow!!! Regulation..... Control...
Different spelling....
Same meaning....
Sounds like we need to figure out what the definition of "is" is...
Good luck with explaining the difference between those.
Great Show! One off your best!
Great show. This country has been off track for at least 35 years and this is the result. Because of powerful lobbying interests, the playing field is no longer level as when I was young. I know there's no turning back the clock, but it wasn't that long ago when companies had some integrity.
Let's be honest. Money corrupts corruptible people and most people are corruptible.
The two things we will never get rid of is money and corruptible people.
The only want that we can keep a free uncorupted society is for the American people to stay very active in our government and to no longer allow career politicians. They are who make laws that allow people to get away with the horrible behavior.
Look at congress themselves. They get salaries for life and Cadillac health plans for life. They have the audacity to come up with some garbage health plan for all of us, act like is a great thing, but then exempt themselves from it.
Tell me again who is corrupted and who goes along with and gets paid to allow others to be corrupt?
GET OFF YOUR ASS AMERICA AND GET INVOLVED!!! VOTE EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS OUT!!! AND THE PRESIDENT!!!
NOT JUST THIS ELECTION, BUT EVERY ELECTION!!!
Please do not invite MM to this show again ..... his statement and platform that "Corporate America is 100% responsible" for this current economic situation is totally irresponsible and ludricrous.
Agreed!
Well seeing that my opinion is just as important as yours, I would say that MM was Right on the Money as he has been on most of his exposes. Corporate Greed has taken over this country led by the GOP machine. Please have Michael Moore back as many times as you can. The only thing the GOP leadership has done is give themselves and the already rich tax cuts , tax cuts, and more tax cuts. They have sold out America and I sure hope that the independents remembers the mess that Bush left us.
Carlos..
That's the really tcool thing aBout living in the United States... You have the right go be wrong.
How about you not watch the show. Michael Moore tells it like it is and can relay what most of us think. That show was one of the most interesting.
Mario..
Whether or not I watch the show does not resolve the issue at hand. MM contributes nothing constructive toward offering solution(s) to this controversy. I don't care what percentage category he is in nor his political affiliation .... but if he is going to a credible pundit in this arena, he should provide cogent, insightful, and tenable solutions to help resolve this crisis rather than continue to stir up more unwanted doom, gloom and uncertainty.
Why is it that those of you who say you want to fight to protect peoples rights (like mine to watch which ever group of fools I choose to watch on TV) are the first to want to take others rights away?
And the guy you think who tells it like it is is one of those nasty multi-millionaires he
Your knowledge of the American economy is a ludicrous as your spelling of that word. If you cannot accept the crticism of others, perhaps you should not criticize others.
Thank you, Bob, for pointing out the spelling transgression. I believe you meant to write "as ludicrous". Since your spelling is so pristine and my knowledge of the American economy is so dismal by your standards, let us all have the benefit of your opinion of what needs to be done. I promise not to criticize.
Why is this guy so afraid to tell us how much he is worth?
This guy is so full of it......always tells just half the story. Free tuition to Peking (actually it's Beijing) university? Apparently Michael does not realize that the majority of students in China won't get the chance for a college education free or otherwise. The Chinese screen students through a rigorous set of tests before they are even get a chance to attend college....
I applaud Piers for taking on this issue and encourage more media heads to do so. I think this episode was more of an interview of Micheal Moore and less about the Occupy movement. Plus Piers seemed to manipulate the viewers comments into a rich/poor debate. I feel that's only a small part of the movement's goal and more about political corruption. I hope the occupy movement creates it's own political party so we have democrats, republicans and the occupiers, that's a party I can vote for.
I stand with the 99%! It's madness!
I am part of the 99% ...I fall into the working poor class...I am disabled and have an ongoing case with SSDI ...my husband works full time and works hard but his pay is low without benefits ...He is a carpenter by trade and very talented and honest...and had a small business ...due to lack of building due to the economy ...he had to start a new job at base minimal pay n no benefits ...
Welfare has disqualified and denied medical insurance because we make $20.55 over the limit ..
Due to having no benefits, I was hospitalized due to lack of medication, due to lack of money to pay for meds, health Care ...
my husband had to miss work to take care of our daughter, due to my hospitalization, so we are so far behind in bills...we are barely making ends meet ...
now I have $20,000 in hospital bills...due to lack of health insurance ...and credit debt, late car payment, bills, utilities, rent, etc...
Still can't get benefits from state care...
Its an endless cycle!
we need help!
I have worked since I was 14 yrs old – to help offset costs to purchase things like clothes, yearbooks, proms, dances, transportation, school pictures etc. I graduated top of my class, with awards and honors and college bound...
My husband has worked hard since he was in high school ...
We just can't get ahead!
I stand with the 99% in a peaceful fashion to say : we want change!!

OMG: your story sounds like mine. Not long ago my dauhter was diagnosed with cancer. Soon after her husband was laid off. So no insurance. My husband used all his retirement for her cancer treatments. She still owes. Her husband found later that he was let go because the insurance company encourage the employer to do so because it was costly. Shortly after her treatments I went to have me checked, because every one bother me to do so. I had cancer also. So all our savings are gone for our deductibles were high. My husband was laid off right in the middle of my treatments. Still doing treatments that because their cost I may have to stop. But your story breaks my heart and I hope that things get better for you. May God bless you and my He help you and your husband. I will pray for you.
I think that the purpose of the Occupy is well define. They want financial justice and fairness. We want to rely of our government to make such. We will not design it because we believe that our government should work for the people. Private corporations should not be allowed to buy our government through lobbying while the people are being stripped from their right to unionized. Subsidies should stop. It is just another name for corporate welfare and they are not even ask the same requirements they asked from individuals. The government should not have the tax payers of this country to subsidies the moving of companies over seas. If they wanted to invest money over seas they should have done that with their own money. If corporations are people, shouldn't people have the same rights as them? Now, where is my subsidy for me to invest? Why can't I have a subsidy (or welfare) without having to prove my income ( to be under the poverty line and less than $5000 in assets) for me just because I do not plant corn or wheat. I do not plant any thing. Give me my subsidy! LOL
Understanding the agenda of your show was to detail the various financial hardships that a high percentage of Americans are experiencing; value would be realized by many, if your staff researched and provided links to the various government and non-government programs that are available to assist those in need; especially the national and federal programs. Please consider having your staff complete this as a follow-up to last evening's program. Thank you.
why won't Romney share his taxes w/us?how many houses does he own? one in Calif,,one in new Hampshire & how manyh more,,,none of his five sons have NEVER been in the military..any comments ?
