Jimmy Carter on Newt Gingrich: "He has the subtlety of racism"
In a candid interview Wednesday, former President Jimmy Carter surprised Piers Morgan with his analysis of Newt Gingrich's political tactics, suggesting that the GOP candidate is using racially-loaded language as a strategy to win support from a section of voters in the South. Carter says Gingrich has "the subtlety of racism that appeals to some people in Georgia."
Interviewed from the Carter Center in Georgia, Carter insists he doesn't think Gingrich himself is a racist. But he does claim the former House Speaker is deliberately using specific terms. "He knows the words you use – like 'Welfare Mamas' and so forth – and I don't think it will pay off in the long-run."

Quite frankly, the self-serving interview was an embarrassment. To see Jimmy "the Dhimmi" Carter playing the statement and claiming credit for the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel is a profoundly demeaning posture that only he could invent. The same Jimmy Carter that abandoned many Americans as hostages to the Islamist Iranians for 444 days.
About Israel, his notorious antisemitic take in the book "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid" dispenses any comments. In fact, his whole defective personality made him unfit to be President, hence his failure to be reelected. After the book was published most members of the board of his NGO quit in disgust, leaving many Arab contributors to support it and thus provide an income for our ex president.
Maybe in the future Piers Morgan can preserve his high level interviews without the need to go "under the stones" to select the likes of Jimmy.
