Rick Santorum on Newt Gingrich: "We all make mistakes"

In an emotional interview from South Carolina, Rick and Karen Santorum open up about their faith in the wake of news that has come out surrounding Newt Gingrich's past marriage. "We all fall," says the former Senator. "We all need and seek forgiveness."

Asked if she believes in redemption, Mrs. Santorum tells Piers Morgan "Absolutely. That's a core part of our faith." Tune in Friday at 9pm ET/PT as Piers Morgan sits down exclusively with the former senator's family.

We all fall; we all seek forgiveness.

Yes, but statements related to faith seem to offer a convenient way for candidates to avoid questions about their own questionable behavior. Karen Santorum doesn't want to discuss Gingrich particularly if it will keep attention away from her previous 6 year live-in sugar daddy who happened to be an abortion doctor. It is a dodge.

What hypocritical crap. Funny that Republicans were not quite as forgiving of Bill Clinton.

Question: Has anyone asked Santorum if he and his wife were at one time part of the "Quiverfull Movement"?
e.g. Duggars have followed this movement as well as Bill Gothard's teachings. These are both very extreme philosophies and are not talked about openly by those who practice them.
