Only a day before the tragic death of pop icon Whitney Houston, her mentor and dear friend, record executive Clive Davis sat down with Piers Morgan along with Grammy and Oscar winning superstar Jennifer Hudson on "Piers Morgan Tonight". Davis joyously talked about his love of music and his annual star-studded Pre-Grammy party where as Davis said, "We all celebrate music, there are no winners, no losers that night."
Hudson also graciously shared with Piers about how she deals with the incessant commentary on her appearance and figure.
"I have to give credit to God and also my upbringing. I grew up around a very religion-based family, my grandmother was very spiritual, I grew up in the Church and my mother was a very wise and strong person and I feel like she raised us well and prepared me well and that's what I live by."
LL Cool J who served as the host of Sunday's Grammy show also joined the program and talked with Piers about his rough childhood and his grandmother, Ellen Griffith, who inspired him to excel in spite of the harsh obstacles he faced from inner-city life. "She always told me, 'Todd, If a task is once begun, never leave it till it's done. Be thy labor, great or small, do it well or not at all.'"
Obama 2012 deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter defended the president's recent change in policy on contraceptive insurance coverage. Cutter explained that the new policy is "not a compromise but an adjustment to the implementation."
