This evening New Jersey Governor Chris Christie sits down with Piers Morgan for a candid and enlightening interview. Mitt Romney's top surrogate, Christie uses his exclusive appearance on "Piers Morgan Tonight" to defend claims that his candidate lacks desire.
Asked by Morgan why Romney isn't "beating his chest more," or appearing as though he "wants this more," Christie clarifies:
"I don't think anybody could come to the conclusion he doesn't want it. I mean, this guy works incredibly hard, extraordinarily hard, to get out and meet people and to...to win votes."
However, the Garden State Governor does maintain that Romney could benefit from a more outward approach, and has advised him as such:
"Governor Romney is a reserved kind of guy. And I think people need to get him...to know him more. I have told him that I think it benefits him to get out there more and let people see the family side of him, see him as a father, as a husband, as a grandfather."
Tune in to "Piers Morgan Tonight" this evening at 9pm ET/PT as the New Jersey Governor reveals more of his thoughts on the former Massachusetts governor, and also explains why his personal position on same-sex marriage is not bigoted.
