Newt Gingrich on his "roller coaster" campaign: "Sort of like Space Mountain"

GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich joined Piers Morgan last Friday for a lively and candid interview. Gingrich noted that his campaign resembles that of a roller coaster "sort of like Space Mountain in Disney[land], where it’s all in the dark and you don’t know where you’ve been, where you’re going or where you are."

Campaign vertigo aside, Gingrich told Piers that he is focused on "Super Tuesday" with a return to his original strategy:

“I’m working back to the same kind of very positive campaign. I think it contrasts very decisively with [Mitt] Romney’s remarkably negative campaign and we’ll see over the next six weeks how people feel if they’re given a choice between a very positive conservative and a very negative moderate."

    Hello,
I would like to ask Mr Gingrich to justify his saying that Palestians don't exist and that they are an invested people.
One shouldn't forget that History of most Nations and Nationalities follow almost the same pattern. For example, if we
consider America and the American people, should we say in the same sheme of reasoning that most of them came from Europe, that they don't exist as Americans and that they have been invented as a Nationality, regardless of centuries of living in that place, same conclusion as for the Palestinians ?

Ok, so is this not a "Government of the people, by the people and for the people"? Why do Republicans say they want less government interference and yet, if they are in government they want to mandate against a woman's right to chose abortion. They are pro-life and yet they believe in execution and sending people to war to kill other people's children.
Also, Rick Santorum is talking like the Talaban in his views of looking down on education and keep the women at home. If they are in power they would impose their religious values on others which would then be government interference in personal matters. They would be regulating movies and other aspects of our lives. Conservative means to restrict people, liberalism means to liberate from dictatorship thinking. I personally would never abort a child if I were young, but that would be my choice, not anyone else's. I am deeply spiritual but that is my own personal business. Keep seperation of church and state or you will have religious dictatorship just like the Talaban!!

You missed the point. The whole discussion of the faith of politicians did not deal with the role of religion in government. Imagine if Muslims became the majority in the U.S. and they wanted that to influence the laws in the U.S. NO religion should impose their beliefs in our laws. Our founders who based our government on laws and not any church's beliefs was a very wise plan. Look what it does to government in other parts of the world. Riots and killing over someone accidentally burning the copies of the Koran ! Religious leaders are running governments and just running the country is impossible. Freedom of religion does not mean the freedom to impose any particular beliefs on others ! Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians and all others would agree if they thought one faith was to be in charge of the government. Can we not reason and understand this ?

Good overall interview. Piers – I think you should do a segment on the ethics of killing babies that accidently survive an attempted abortion. How to people justify this? Thanks!

If you want a wood floor you can build a deck floor inside the shed. You can do it two ways. The first thing is to pack down the soil first. If you level the grunod out at this juncture, it will make the rest easier. Adding stone to it first couldn't hurt. 1. attach 2 10 joists to the inside perimeter of the shed. You can get them in 10 foot lengths. Drill holes in the shed walls and joists and run deck bolts through to attach the wood to the wall. Then place joists every 16 inches on center across (you can probably get away with 24 inches since it will pretty much sit on the grunod) using metal joist hangers and then deck it out with plywood. Use pressure treated lumber.2. If you don't want to attach anything to the shed walls you can buy concrete supports sold at any home improvement store in the deck section that sit in the grunod and hold the frame and joists and then add the joists and plywood using the same procedure. Since the frame will not reach to the walls, you can overhang the plywood those few inches to reach the walls. Although easier to do, the down side would be shifting in the grunod and the deck and shed will move separately so over time the floor could become uneven with the walls of the shed. Don't forget to level the deck out while you are framing.Although a wood deck does take more time, it is beneficial if you want to attach anything to the floor for any reason. You can also attach studs to the walls in the same bolting fashion if you want to hang wood or other things on the wall for storage. Make sure you caulk around the exterior bolts to prevent leakage.
