Clips From Last Night: Micky Dolenz thought the news of Davy Jones' death was a hoax

Davy Jones, teen idol and the lead singer of "The Monkees" passed away Wednesday at the age of 66. Fellow band member Micky Dolenz sat down with Piers Morgan exclusively to reflect on the life and career of the one known as the "cute Monkee." Dolenz noted that their friendship endured long after the band's "roller coaster" ride of fame had ended and Jones became a brother, like a sibling' to Dolenz.

The news of Jones' death was so unpredictable to Dolenz that he initially thought that it was just an internet rumor.

"Frankly I thought it might have been another one of those internet, stupid joke hoaxes. I hoped it was but obviously it was not."
