On Monday evening, "Piers Morgan Tonight" kicked off Guest Host Week, as comedian, actress, and singer Jane Lynch paid a visit to the studio, bringing along her own individual brand of humor and perspective.
As the program got underway, iconic American personality Joan Rivers joined Lynch in studio for an honest and engaging discussion on everything from pot to politics.
Joined by her daughter Melissa, the 78-year-old grandmother watched as Lynch aired a video clip from Rivers' reality show, during which she smoked marijuana with her friend, in the process becoming visibly high:
"It was great. Would I do it again? No. Because you eat."
Melissa, who was saddled with the responsibility of looking after her pot-smoking parent, had a different recollection:
"I had to go pick up my mother and her friend Lynn because they were no longer capable of driving...safely. And then they wanted food, so we had to stop and get food," recalls the younger Rivers. "And they were being annoying. You know when you're the designated driver and it totally sucks?"
Earlier in the special edition of "Jane Lynch Tonight," the subject turned to politicians, and Rivers was less than complimentary:
"I think they're all morons. I hate them. I hate them all," said the legendary comedian.
"I just think, oh, go to work, and work on the country. For two years, they've been campaigning, for two years! All of them...Pay attention, we're in trouble."
Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, as Lynch and the two Rivers women turn Monday evening into Ladies Night, sharing stories and loading up on laughs.
