READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Coming up this evening on "Piers Morgan Tonight," 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson sits down for an entertaining and heartwarming interview, touching upon everything from the fairways to his family.
After thrilling the world with his victory at Augusta National on Sunday, tonight the 33-year-old left-hander talks about his wife Angie, and the phone call they shared following his sudden-death playoff win:
"She's my best friend, I mean, I talk to her about anything," says Watson. "She just said 'I love you, and I can't wait to see you.'"
The Watsons recently adopted a one month old baby boy named Caleb, and while fighting back tears, tonight Bubba tells host Piers Morgan what it will one day feel like to share this with his child:
"It will be some good father-son stuff, it'll be something that you could only dream about," explains Watson. "Hopefully he knows what The Masters is when he gets older, and realizes that his dad really cared for him, and that his mom really cared for him, and just prove our love to him."
Watch the clip as the 2012 Masters Tournament champ takes on the host in an in-studio putting contest.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Absolutely right!
could have happened to Phil Mickelson, he might be a nicer guy
Mickelson has a well-known history of questionable behavior behind the scenes, including straying from his wife. If you're going to post about golf....know what you're talking about.
Go buy a clue and come back to see us...........
Scott, I'm not taking issue with what you wrote, but it's news to me, and I suspect to many others who will read it. The least you can do when assailing a man's reputation is offer some evidence.
actually Bubba himself has a bit of a history with anger management.. he's not fan friendly on the course at all. However, he has cooled off and he certainly has a deep love for his wife and family. I was happy to see him win.
I thought the same that he was cold during a tournament, but after hearing him talk about it with David Faherty he has ADD, and the only way he can remain focused during the tournament is to not engage the crowd and just talk with his caddy. I actually admire this as he knows what needs to be done and does it. He is very generous with his time and resources off the course and in non-tournament time.
I watched that interview too Golfer! really gave me insight into why he acted the way he did on numerous occasions. Gave me a lot more respect for the guy.
I have had a couple of great moments with Mickelson..Once when he took a photo with me at the last Skins Game in 2008 and then when he signed it for me during the 2012 Hummana. Fan pressure is tremendous on him but he is always gracious.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy?? Yeah, it could. Me! Except I don't play golf.
121Thanks for this article, we have just sttared our new website and we are looking for ways to build good quality back links. Your post has given us some good methods to get stuck into! Thanks again!
Genuine and authentic indeed......Quite rare me thinks...
Certainly Tiger Woods seems to be the "child prodigy" in terms of never having a real childhood. I would bet this guy had a more normal upbringing, which makes us feel better as most people aren't groomed from age 3 to be a sports champ.
what the hell are you talking about?
Tiger who?
Normal childhood. Is there such a thing?
There's no normal life, Wyatt......There's just life
hi,it is good that home minister of the state have a blog. i came aware of this receltny. as a journalist i am very glad to know that a minister has a blog. i just want to get in touch with those updating pictures, matters in the blog on behalf of the minister. can i get in touch with them?- my number- 98442-13028
Two things that are inentesritg about this are:The majority of the people who read and post to this blog are really trying to fix things by doing the right thing and working within the existing system. It's good to see that people took action when this inappropriate comment was made and the moderator removed the offensive post promptly. The second very inentesritg thing is, that law enforcement contacted the moderator about the offensive comment. Have they also been in contact about any of the other posts about specific criminal activities by the officers of the courts and/or attorneys that have been posted?
every celebrity seems "Genuine".
nobody knows what is in this guy closet, some people get caught and some dont.
It's wonderful to see someone who is not full of himself winr. Bubba Watson (someone I had never heard of!) seems to be just a normal, everyday person who is grateful for his blessings. A breath of fresh air!
It's not a "blessing". It's a finely tuned skill which takes lots and lots of practice and money.
Bubba came from modest means, and worked his way into this sport without ever taking a single formal lesson. So before you go on your "golf is for rich 1 percenters" tangent, don't forget that Obama has play more golf in his four years than the previous 3 presidents combined in 20 years.....
@leelanau Evidence? Or you just spouting off things which have no factual representation?
Have a talent can be a blessing, not everyone can fine tune that skill. So many negative people in this world.
so incredibly genuine and humble
Watching golf shouldn't make you want to cry, but seeing Bubba win moved me to tears. He deserved it!
True, usually it's the actual playing of golf that brings me to tears.
We watched him win and saw how emotional he became and it was refreshing to see how deeply he felt about winning the Masters. I've since read several articles about Bubba and how much he gives to charity and how caring he his toward others. WTG Bubba. Congratulations and Good Luck in the future.
Bubba!!!!!!!!!! Great Guy. He is our next Gary Player and he will win many. GO BUBBA GO ! Congrats on ya'lls baby boy!
its the real life Happy Gilmore!!
Great win, Great Shot at the 10th hole in Sudden Death. He seems like a regular guy who just game up with the tournament of his life. Hope he can keep his emotions together to keep going!
Bubba Watson was the 16th ranked player in the world coming into the Masters. He didn't come out of nowhere.
he looked so focused and not fun while playing–tough not to like him!
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
crocodiles tears.
nobody knows what really is in his head and nobody knows what skeleton he has in his closet.
people always fail for this crap
EXAMPLE: Lindsey Lohan......when she first came out everyone taught she was such a sweetheart and the same goes for Britney. People viewed them as little angels when they first climbed to stardom.
Grinch.
what's with all the animosity? Did they hurt you in some way?
@jj
just stating a fact.
Fact is, you don't have any facts. Your guy didn't win and you're hatin'. What skeletons are in YOUR closet?
Lindsey & Britney were kids when they achieved stardom; they had no clues about life or how to live with the stardom they achieved with so little real effort.
Bubba, at 33, has a pretty good idea of who he is and what he is about.
Cynical much?
Well aren't YOU the angry one? What did Bubba ever do to you????????
Another thing: those people were/are entertainers and crack heads. Bubba is a golfer. Whole different world.
Anyone who follows golf knows that Bubba is genuine. Rory McIlroy, too.
D.B.
How can you mention his name the same time you mention Lindsay and Britanny? The girls have no class!
This article is kind of useelss. It also paints the wrong picture for McGill. Even moreso, it's just bad because it dares to class the students as all the same Marx and PBR? That's just stupid. This article was written about the Plateau-dwelling pseudo-hipsters of the school, and ignores about 70% of rest of the student body.Yea, this article is pretty terrible. Also, to comment one of the other comments made, I do agree that you shouldn't misspell words in French. French is the official language here, not English. Be grateful you're getting a world class education in the city, but respect the surroundings. If you left the island, you'd see that Montreal is the exception in the province go to any other town (save for Gatineau) and English isn't considered. Hatred for Anglophones is ridiculous, yes. But you're in a French part of the country. If you chose to go to school there, either learn the language or keep quiet. If they built a 30,000 French-speaking university in downtown Toronto or Vancouver, ask yourself if you as a local would appreciate people misspelling your language and refusing to learn English.
You must be a 30 handicapper.
I like this Guy...something about him – wanna make u root for him
Most pro golfers have great dispositions and don't have the skeletons we most associate with the more famous people (actors, entertainers, rich families, etc). If you're a fan of golf, you'd know that. Bubba Watson is the real deal. Tiger Woods is the exception. Don't put everyone in his category.
stop crying all the time cakefighter.
He seems so genuine & real .....He must be fake : ) Seriously though . Easy with all the crying . I get the feeling that if an Air Supply cd was playing around him he'd weep . That can't be healthy .... or extremely healthy .
He's a weepy little thing, isn't he? Seems like a nice guy, and I'm glad he won his first Masters, but I haven't seen that many tears since the last time somebody interviewed John Boehner.
You would be weepy too if you had such an accomplishment. You have to remember a lot of these pro golfers spend a lot of time alone practicing and practicing, in the rain, the cold, the heat, bugs, injuries, away from the family, perfecting, perfecting, perfecting. Sometimes it feels yoru dreams will never come true and a lot of people give up eventaully. So to win like he did, and I'm no cry baby, I would cry too. And I would cry a lot. I just wanted to point that out becuase there are many commnets about it.
He was crying because he lost his father the year before and was overcome with emotion on the fact that his dad wasn't there to witness it. Man, some of you people really suck.
YA PROBABLY CRY WHEN YER TOILET TISSUE RUNS OUT AS WELL
the thing with golf is, it is the truest form of perfom or don't get paid (yes, I know about the endorsements), self governence, and self control. For the MOST part, you seldom see the issues surrounding other sports and stars within golf.
Not that I mind Bubba Watson winning, but I don't think he's all that. He once told reporters that he didn't have a coach, and that way he only had himself to thank when he won tournaments. That doesn't sound like a humble winner to me. He's extremely talented though, so you have to give him credit. He played the best, so he deserved to win.
Although the legend is that Bubba has never had a golf lesson, he has had high school & college coaches, and has been extremely gracious about them in the past. Don't make something where there isn't anything.
The wife is a beard....very femmy guy.
Three putts on separate holes to win it, he finally made one. Good thing for him Stenson was completely unsettled and hit bad shots.
Yes he deserved to win but then again so did Oosthuizen, they both played excellent golf, it is a pity one has to lose.
It was so nice watching the golf and not having Tiger Woods name mentioned every five minutes time for his name to be retired.
Brian Williams called him a "golf savant". Very fitting.
Why is everyone so impatient to "label" Bubba? Congrtaulate him, give him some room and enjoy the show -one way or the other Doesn't anyone remember John Daley?
http://www.Hear-The-Truth.com
ENOUGH OF THE BUBBA CRYBABY SCENE.....ACT LIKE YA BEEN THERE BEFORE.....SAVE THE BALLING FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
I do believe that you must be referring to "bawling"? "Balling" has a different meaning altogether. When a person is under pressure and under the spotlight in front of millions of people all week, one doesn't have the chance to show any kind of emotion or to even exhale. Ben Crenshaw broke down when his last putt fell with the exhilaration of winning and thinking of the then recent death of one of his valued mentors, Mr Harvey Pennick; Tiger Woods broke down after winning after the death of his father; and Davis Love III cried when the won the PGA after seeing the rainbow and thinking of his late father.
Go Bubba! Show the world that most golfers are not stuffy stogy snots but regular guys and gals. Welcome to the world with no more spoiled rotten fan despising Tigers!
In the words of Marlon Brando, "You can begin by acting like a man"!!!
What a sissy boy. Along with the green jacket, they should have included a pink pair of panties...
You need to get off of that macho bandwagon. It's just not popular anymore. Haven't you heard? Ladies like the sensitive types... not the bad boys anymore. So...grow up and shed some tears, little guy.
Bubba and Boo...two good ole boys from the Pensacola area. Not only can they play well, they make me laugh which is priceless. I'd like to see them paired up on the next Ryder Cup team. They are the real deal. As a group, pro golfers including the women are more generous than any other professional sport even though they do not make nearly as much as the pro athletes in basketball, baseball, and football. Furthermore, I can envision Bubba and Bama playing a round at Fort Belvoir sometime soon and both are lefties.
I knew nothing about Bubba Watson before Sunday. What a refreshing face and person. He has a new fan here.
Very sweet.
It sounds so funny to hear a man say his wife makes him the golfer he is.
Guess she's a keeper, eh?
Maybe she kisses his balls before each match. That'd help keep his putter stiff.
Bubba!
Hi Piers, I applaud your honesty with regards to Axl Rose turning down the Rock Hall of Fame, however as far as you seeing the best concert ever with Guns & Roses, I challenge you to go see Bruce Springsteen Live. I'm a former Brit and have seen so many, including the Beatles when I lived in London. Its not enough to lisen to him and form an opinion, you have to see him and his band. He is the most dynamic performer ever. I've just seen 2 of his shows in Buffalo and Cleveland with my daughter. She's seen him 42 times and me 10 times, not bad for a granny!! I challenge you to come to Toronto in August to see him, or go to Wrigley Field this summer. Although I do agree with Axl's comments re Rock Hall of Fame and wonder why some Brits & Canadians (my home now) are not selected, I feel for any music lover this is the greatest museum and I've been there 5 tims and it always blows me away.
I love your show and although I don't always agree with you, I appreciate your honest view no matter what anyone thinks. Keep it up.

Thanks again for this marvelous evening! You should invite the new "French President" or the last one "Sarko"
My wife and i ended up being quite comfortable when Louis could finish off his homework through your ideas he acquired out of your blog. It's not at all simplistic just to always be offering key points which usually the others have been making money from. And we all remember we've got the blog owner to appreciate because of that. Those explanations you've made, the straightforward web site navigation, the friendships you will aid to instill – it is everything superb, and it's leading our son and our family believe that this subject matter is amusing, and that is unbelievably mandatory. Many thanks for all!
This is actually the ideal site for anybody who hopes to know this topic. You comprehend so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want to...HaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on the topic which continues to be discussed for decades. Superb things, just excellent. 行動電源 http://www.powerbankfresh.com
