Clips From Last Night: Katherine Jackson on Michael Jackson's abusive childhood and her concerns regarding his "This is It" tour

On Monday evening, Piers Morgan sat down with the Jackson Family matriarch Katherine Jackson for an in-depth and personal interview about her life after her son Michael Jackson's death.

During the interview, Jackson discussed the controversy surrounding Michael's alleged childhood abuse by his father Joseph Jackson. "I didn't think he was too tough," said Jackson and further noted that the parenting methods during her son's childhood were different from how they are today.

"If you did something wrong, it was terribly wrong, you got a scolding for it and you also got a licking as they called it. But today you can't do that. So Michael looked back at those times and they said he was abused."

Jackson also talked about her concerns regarding Michael's "This Is It" tour, the set of fifty concert performances that he was preparing for at the time of his death. Jackson expressed that she felt the performance schedule was "too much for him."

"Michael hadn't been on stage for about 10 years. You know? And I called him. And I told him because the way they had it structured, they said every other night that he would be working," said Jackson. "And I just kept calling him telling him they had to change that schedule because that was - I didn't like the way it was going."

Your guys' quote above is wrong. Katherine Jackson clearly said that she called "them" not "him" and that she just kept calling "them" and told "them" they had to change that schedule. You may want to make the correction, which is consistent with prior statements she has made on the topic.

Her son was an adult and he made an adult choice. Please stop treating people like idiots by implying he had no choices and his Mommy had control over his life but was thwarted by the "Evil ones".

Thanks for any other informative site. Where else may I get that kind of info written in such an ideal way? I have a undertaking that I'm just now operating on, and I have been on the look out for such information.

Piers Morgan. Have you read stories of beatings in autobiographies? Gorky's grandfather beat him from the description in the book "My Childhood"· of thuis author which book is meant to be autobiographical. I drew the conculusion that his grandfather used to lose it when he beat him the boy on two occasions if I remember right, it might have been more, the boy ended up in hospital as a result of the beatings which it seems started off with the intention of giving him five of the best and always ended up being uncotroled and violent floggings It seems that grandfather just could not stop, There was a young man who worked for the family, they had a dyers business, who used to put his arm between the stick and the child, Gorkies uncles were jealous of the human qualities of this young man and he died in a cart crash supposedly orchestrated by Gorkies uncles.
In Virginia Wolfs autobiography of Roger Fry their is a description of a terrible beating and there is another one in Roald Dahls autobiography, in one of the two there is a description of, blood and faeces spattereed walls as a result of the beatings. Are you sure you still want to go on mentioning your enthusiasm for education that includes beatings? You should not do so, maybe cuffing a child is alright, especiallly if you keep from cuffing their heads but beatings are things that can go very astray, I suppose cuffings can go badly astray too. My brother went to St Pauls in London and he and his friends always worried when one of the teachers beat boys who had in the past badly hurt one boys back.
You are younger than me, maybe that is why you are less counscious of the criticisms I remember hearing of the Jackson parents parenting. rose macaskie madrid.

Sadly the word " abuse " has been exploited and abused. We have a right to protect and love our children. Each wrong choice adult children make is not because of bad parenting... It's because of bad choices and the shrinks bowls get deeper each day. Non of were in MJ 's home to know what took place or not. MJ is dead because of all the greed by all who were around him. What did his all his shrink do to help him ? Beside poison his mind and detach him from the family life he loved most.

-Thriller (entire video with credits) -Beat It -Remember the Time -Don't Stop Til You Get Enough -Heal The World This is a great video that shows not only the evtlouion of Michael Jackson's music, but also that of his appearance. Co-stars include Eddie Murphy, Iman, Magic Johnson, McAuley Culkin, Bart and Homer Simpson, and others. An exceptional video!!! *In the video Black or White, Michael appears to be furiously smashing the windows of a car for no reason. In the original, racist graffiti is painted on the windows. This was edited out in this version. Relax, Michael is not crazy. Or at least not that crazy.
