Coming up this evening at 9 p.m., "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes singer-songwriter and record producer Cee Lo Green for an honest and revealing sit down.
Joining Piers Morgan for an exclusive face to face interview, the artist behind such hits as "Forget You" and "Crazy" opens up about losing his mother while still in his teens:
"It's definitely a rude - a very rude awakening. But I was able to see some - some purpose in it," Green tells the host. "I've also answered this question on occasion by saying that I had actually died and my mother lives on. You know, my work, my aspirations and my ability, my, even down to my articulation, is my mother's will, my mother's work and want for me."
When asked by Morgan if Green's late mother would be proud of his success, the vocal coach on NBC's "The Voice" switches to present tense:
"I think she still is," he declares. "I think she's definitely alive in - in all of this positive energy surrounding, you know, what's become of me."
Watch the above clip, and listen to the interview, then tune in tonight at 9 p.m. as Green explains his unique sense of style and showmanship, in advance of his upcoming summer in Las Vegas.
