Tonight at 9 p.m. Piers Morgan welcomes Mehmet Oz for a unique and informative face to face interview, detailing everything from erectile dysfunction, to wine, and cholesterol.
Joining the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host in studio, television's "Dr. Oz" takes Morgan's blood pressure, and announces his findings:
"You're number is 134 over 82," the guest reveals.
While it's an average reading in America, Oz insists it's not optimal:
"What it translates to, is that your life expectancy is going to be several years shorter than if your number was the optimal number."
Well known for his appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Oz now has his own program, launched in 2009 by Harpo Productions.
A six-time New York Times best-selling author, he compares blood pressure to an item more common to a street corner than an operating room:
"It's like a fire hydrant, that is rubbing off the lining of your arteries, and by doing that, forces your arteries to compare themselves continually."
Watch the above clip, and listen to the interview, then tune in tonight at 9 p.m. as Oz reveals the number one indicator in predicting and increasing someone's life span.
