Former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld returned to the program Wednesday evening and joined Piers Morgan for a live interview. Rumsfeld shared with Piers his strategy for handling the current crisis in Syria. "I think that what Mr. [Leon] Panetta said is clearly desirable, that Assad not be there," said Rumsfeld. "The question they have to face is what's going to replace them."
Rumsfeld also responded to an "inaccurate" suggestion that he considers President Obama to be "weak" in terms of leadership and foreign policy. "The way you're phrasing it is twisting it in an inaccurate way," said Rumsfeld to Morgan, "I did not volunteer this. I responded to a question and answered to the best of my ability."
"I've said once and I'll say one more time only that I was asked a question. In my adult life if you look at the presidents, how would you rank them on that subject, and I said I would rank this president as a general leader up with President Carter."
Watch the clips and listen to the interview as the Former Secretary of Defense explains his views on the current president and foreign affairs.
