On Wednesday, "Piers Morgan Tonight" rolled out it's red carpet for late night host Jimmy Fallon, who arrived ready to display his unmatched and wide-ranging set of skills and comedic talents.
As the host of NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" visited in studio with Piers Morgan, CNN.com's Steve Krakauer captured the appearance, taking viewers behind the scenes of the primetime exclusive.
Afterwards, Krakauer caught up with the host, who reviewed the taping:
"Jimmy Fallon is a comic genius. He can do impressions, he can do jokes, he can do routines, he can do anything he wants. He's just one of those naturally funny guys. So, I nearly burst a blood vessel," explained Morgan. "I don't think I've laughed that much, since the last time he was on."
Having first arrived on the scene as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member, on Wednesday Fallon peppered Morgan with celebrity skits and musical solo's, ending the interview with a Jim Morrison-themed performance, complete with guitar strumming and table crawling.
It's his unique blend of abilities that has Morgan making predictions about Fallon's future:
"You mentioned on the air about the 'The Tonight Show,'" referenced Krakauer. "Do you think he'd be a worthy successor of 'The Tonight Show?'"
"He's funny, he's entertaining, he's a great interviewer, people like him. He's very likeable," raved Morgan. "I would put money on Jimmy Fallon."
