Mark O'Mara on Witness 9's statement: "Her first statement suggesting racism questions her credibility"

Mark O'Mara, the attorney for George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case returned to "Piers Morgan Tonight" and responded to the allegations of a woman known as "Witness #9". The woman accused Zimmerman of sexually molesting her for almost a decade and called the Zimmerman family "racist".

"Her first statement suggesting racism questions her credibility," argued O'Mara. "The FBI who seemingly has completed their report has said the exact opposite. That George is not a racist."

"She called anonymously. And said the whole Zimmerman family were a bunch of racists," explained O'Mara. "The next day she makes up allegations about sexual abuse. Also seemingly doesn't have any corroboration to them."

Earlier this year, CNN Legal Analyst Mark NeJame shared an exclusive photograph with Morgan which suggests Zimmerman has black heritage. "From looking at the facts and the evidence, I don't think there is a racial motive in there," NeJame said.

Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, as O'Mara responds to Witness #9's accusations.

You stay classy Omara. Unfortunatly this isn't some vengeful ex-gf, this is his cousin! Who has a cousin who would lie about them in such a way especially at a time like this? This is a game changer and if she is allowd to testify as a character witness, Zimmerman is done for. He has no credibility now and with the new evidence showing that Omara knew about Zimmerman's finances, despite saying he didn't, Omara's credibility has to be questioned too. As I said at the beginning, Zimmerman would be smart to seek a plea deal as the evidence does not corroborate his story. He was an overzealus cop wannabe who over reacted during a fight and killed a kid. If he had just punched Martin back or pushed Martin off of him they would both be better off now. And yes he could of done that easily because a 28 year old is natirally stronger than a 17 year old, plus he had a weight advantage. Instead a kid is dead and Zimmerman's life is basically over. Even if he survives jail he will be outcasted from society except by very extreme racists.

It must have been difficult for this woman to expose this at this point in her life. Hope they can get to the bottom of it and there can be resolution, however, it does seem that Zimmermans ability to make sound judgement is a real concern. Not sure he made the est judgement that evening, getting out of his car lead to a very unfortunate chain of events. Putting a person on the defensive with this type of action is something that should not go unrecognized. Zimmermans state of mind as he exited his car was clearly evident in his ranting to the dispatcher. It's very sad all the way around.

My goodness... I always pride myself on being open minded, look deeper, live life on my own terms kind of person.. But its just some things in life no matter how deep you look, how open minded you are some things are EXACTLY the way the appear.. and your wasting time looking deeper, and being open minded is just leaving more room for lies.. Take a plea bargain dude..

Just because someone has some black heritage does not mean they are not racial.

I, too, have always been open minded, taught my two sons that everyone is equal, that we are all human.

Any one in his rightful mind will not believe GZ's story, the fact that the TEENAGER is the one who died simply shows that zimmerman is one who had full control over the teen. Even Omara is a racist how can he defend such murder. what if his child dies the same way is he going to he going to defend the killer?

    • Are you serious?

Trayvon Martin was seventeen years old–not twelve. His body was fully mature. He was two inches taller than George Zimmerman. Zimmerman outweighed Martin because Zimmerman was obese (as the medical record shows). The fact that the seventeen-year-old broke George Zimmerman's nose and was mounted on Zimmerman, as witnesses confirm, shows that Zimmerman clearly did not have full control. Facts aren't racist; they're just facts.
