Ann Romney on her husband's "internal sense of self" and Mitt Romney on being "properly in love"

Continuing this evening, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes Mitt and Ann Romney, as the presidential candidate and his wife join the program from the outdoor grounds of the Old Royal Naval College in London.

Included in the backdrop is the equestrian venue in historic Greenwich Park, where Rafalca, a dressage horse co-owned by Mrs. Romney, will compete for Olympic glory in the upcoming games.

Prior to the engaging sit down interview, Morgan took a brief stroll with wife of the former Massachusetts governor, earning some insight into her husband's publicly perceived "calm" demeanor:

"I think where it goes to, is this internal sense of self, where he's very confident in who he is," Mrs. Romney tells Piers Morgan. "But he also knows that as president, he's going to be doing things that may not always be understood, but they're going to be always the right thing, what he believes is the right thing for the country."

Continuing to praise her husband of more than four decades, Ann Romney adds: "So he's going to act from integrity always...And if people question his motives or anything else, or accuse him of this or that, he doesn't let that get him ruffled."

Later in the show, the presumptive GOP nominee joins his wife, fielding Morgan's signature question of "How many times have you been properly in love?"

Answering immediately and definitively, the 65-year-old Republican states, simply: "Once."

Speaking about the woman he married in 1969, Romney adds:

"This is the only woman I fell in love with...I mean, I was a senior in high school, for Pete's sake, so I fell in love with Ann, hook, line and sinker. She caught me and I was lucky enough to bring her into my life. And we've been - we've been in love ever since."

When the question is posed to Ann Romney, her response is equally emphatic, saying that the father of her five children "Is my true love. My true love."

Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, then tune in this evening at 9 p.m. as Piers Morgan sheds light on the personal, and emotional sides of two of America's most public figures.

    What. Utter. Pablum.

I remember a long time ago when CNN used to be a news organization. Remember Bernard Shaw? Now the entire channel is filled full of clownish amateurs pumping out blatant inaccuracies, sensationalized non-stories, and this kind of contemptible saccharine glop. Edward R. Murrow must be self-immolating himself in his grave.

One of the worst interviews I've watched. Piers never probed any of the controversies surrounding the Romney's and he let them avoid specific answers to his questions. Did he ever ask specifically how Romney's economic policies would work; how he would deal with an end to the health care crisis; nor did he follow up on his suggestion of working together in the light of the Aurora tragedy, letting Romney hide behind the second amendment, and not address the assault rifle issue. In sum, the interview was a bore, and I expected more from Piers Morgan.

My opinion of Piers Morgan as a journalist just when WAAYYY down. One of the most inane interviews I've ever seen of a person trying to be our next POTUS.

Either Piers Morgan is a genius or the most idiotic news person in the world. This interview showed Romney to be void of any personality, vision, or compassion for humanity. Did Piers plan than? If so that's work of a genius. If not, oh my ... how sorry was that interview? I was in shock by the way he asked ridiculous questions that had nothing to do with the state of our country and all that patronizing was pathetic. On the other hand was that his intention? That is, to show the viewers how utterly void Romney is of anything profoundly meaningful.

We can't blame Piers for Romney's lack of personality.

I want to know the contender. So far, all I really know is that he is prone come off as a used car salesman. He says some dumb things, and cannot seem to find what he really believes in for policy. I watch interviews with him and feel like I am getting a poor attempt at being a normal person for the sake of the people he is trying to make a case for presidency. I understand you are not a normal person that relates to anyone making less than a few mil a year. Do not pretend, it makes you look worse. Instead focus on your actual policy and what you as a candidate will bring to the table. Explain to me what you like from Bush's policies. Explain what you do not like. Tell me where you think Obama is doing well and where you think he is doing badly. Give me your own ideas. Tell me how you will implement them. I am tired of dumb commercials that take my intelligence for granted. Everyone should know where is or how to do basic research. I know enough about Obama. I know what policies I like of his and which ones I do not. In order for me to vote for you, I need to know which parts you are against or will change. You are not giving me that and if you do not figure out a way to do it I will vote for what I know and can live with.
I assumed journalists would be better at asking questions that would get me these answers. I understand that MSNBDemocrat and Faux News are not news channels but full time political soundboards for their respective party. I hold CNN in a higher regard for news but on this race even you are doing a poor job. I get better news coverage from comedy central. Since when did journalists become such wimps?

Good interview Piers, we saw a very compassionate, successful, man with a great love for our country & understanding of people & most important HONESTY, & trustworthy, which we haven't seen in this current President ever, & he didn't have a teleprompter. Maybe a few of you should watch FAUX more often, you would know both candidates better, & hear all the hypocrisies that come out of the mouth of the "great orator". Because of the Liberal Media, that worships Obama, who was never vetted, we knew nothing about him, except he knew how to blow a lot of hot air, blames everyone else for everything, run up more debt than all other Presidents till the time he took office. Let's see how small business's do (job creator's) when their taxes go up & if we are stuck with that 2000+ pg. Obamacare bill. Who will pay the billions of $$$ that's gonna cost? Oh, that's right, we can just print more money, end up like Greece or Spain, that's where we are headed. Yes, Governor Romney, willing to give you a chance, after 4 yrs. of disaster. Where do you begin straightening out this mess, we've had a Democratic Congress since 2006. God help you, or God help us if we have another 4 yrs. of decline, from a President that has never run ANYTHING!

Piers: Shame on you. PBO does not attack his success. PBO just wants everyone to do well. In the US 15% control 93% of the wealth and 85% share only 7% of the wealth. It is either by policies or we will have to admit 85% of the people are too stupid to create wealth. No one is attacking success. We the people of the US attack only VULTURE CAPITALISM which transfers money from wages and retirement to stock holders as profits by firing, lay off and moving overseas. And that is what companies like Bain Capital do. Create unemployment and poverty to the majority of the citizens. If this is what Romney represents and intends to perpetuate then he and his followers are criminals because it is immoral to create poverty when it is in our hand to do the best we can for ALL.

Shame on you Piers Morgan, allowing idle gossip to rule your show. You disappointed many tonight.

Since when is being a success a "bad" thing. Maybe you should google Bain Capitol & find out how successful it was when Romney ran it, plus all the other business's he ran. Don't believe everything you hear in the MSM. Do you have any idea how many jobs & how much money we have sent overseas in the last 4 years. Check it out!

It's his "internal sense of self" that allows him to continue to wholeheartedly support the gun lobby after the recent tragedy. The same faulty moral compass that allows him to support just about anything to achieve his goals.

Pray you dislike Presidant Obama because of the skin of his color?
Or his education and his knoledge ?
Or because Your Papa told you to ?
Or you don't read or think independently ?
Or you still think the world order has not changed ?
Or you did not know our education system has dropped compared to countries you don't know existed ?
Or you did not know our country is broke because of Bush's crusade? ( not Obama )
Or you did not know you will need health care because you won't be able to buy health insurance as long as you chose to stay ignorant.
Please start reading indepindatly..... You will be quite surprised and do please stop getting your facts from New Max and Fox Tv. Get your independent facts from Facts. Org or from Washington Post.

I was disappointed in you Piers for listening with bated breath to every word Romney said about not wanting to increase gun control. He talked as much nonsense as the author of More Guns-Less Crime but you ridiculed and insulted that poor sap and didn't let him finish a sentence. I agree with you on the gun control issue, but the sucking up to Romney because he is considered a VIP was nauseating. I was really looking forward to you challenging Romney but it didn't happen.

I see I made a mistake by making a comment to a bunch of far left liberals that obviously only listen to the MSM,
have not done their homework. Is being Muslim better than being Morman? Is being poor better than being rich? I do not have money, but have worked hard for the little I have and have never asked for anything from the government (the taxpayers) believe if you work hard, you can make it. I will not comment back to any of you, most sound hateful and illerate. Do some serious fact checking before opening your mouth.

'Discouraged' workers face tough road back to employment!

Are you feeling the effects of four years of failure? Why don't you try another four years of the same? Who was it that said that failure is the desire to repeat mistakes with the hope that good results will eventually happen?

Well you can thank the Failure in Chief, Obama!

23 million America's unemployed or underemployed!
Unemployment over 8% for 43 months and counting!
The price of a gallon of gas has doubled! Under Obama's failed leadership!
49 million Americans on food stamps!
3.6 million more Americans on Social Security Disability Insurance!
    Backdoor amnesty for illegal aliens!
Democrats in the Senate have not produced a budget in four years!
51% of college graduates cannot find a job! Because of Obama's failed fiscal policy!
$5.5 trillion in new federal debt, under Obama!
In Obama's twisted logic, he will not tell Americans, that the top 20% of all American income earners pay 87% of all federal income tax.
Will not enforce all federal laws equally! Will enforce DOMA!
Ambassador Stevens was murdered in Benghazi, Libya! Obama lied about his death!
Obama's foreign policy failures are notable, he has lost. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Libya!

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
    –Aldous Huxley

Remember: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Romney/Ryan=2012 and beyond!
