Clips from Last Night: Michael Phelps makes Olympic history and Prince Albert of Monaco on his mother Grace Kelly

On Tuesday, USA Today sports columnist Christine Brennan joined Piers Morgan in London to discuss the latest news from the 2012 Olympic Games.

On the heels of a historic 19th medal by swimmer Michael Phelps, Brennan added her insight on the bitter-sweet performance by a man who is now the most-decorated athlete in Olympic history:

"I think the only sad note tonight for Michael is that he did not win his signature event, the 200 butterfly," said Brennan, referencing Phelps' silver medal finish in the event. "And he looked upset afterwards...People will remember four years ago the 100- butterfly where Michael caught his competitor right at the very end. This is the complete reverse of that. And a very disappointing finish for Michael."

"Piers Morgan Tonight" also featured a dose of royalty, as sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene sat down for an exclusive interview.

Speaking about his late mother, Hollywood legend Grace Kelly who became the princess of Monaco in 1956, Prince Albert shared his memories:

"She was the most warm, gracious, engaging person."

"An incredibly generous person in heart and spirit," the Prince continued, "she touched the lives of so many people in so many different ways all over the world."

Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, as Piers Morgan talks gold medals and gold crowns, discussing swimming royalty, and royals of the throne.
