Suze Orman on equality in the workplace: "I have a saying that women put themselves on sale...they're like on the sale rack"

Coming up this evening on "Piers Morgan Tonight," Donny Deutsch takes another spin as guest host, pulling up a seat as Piers Morgan is across the pond on assignment.

Making his first visit to the program since May, the advertising executive and television veteran welcomes an all-female panel consisting of some of the sharpest and most successful women in America.

Joined by Lara Spencer of "Good Morning America," tennis champion Serena Williams, financial advisor Suze Orman, and "CBS This Morning" co-anchor Gayle King, Deutsch tackles the topic of fair wages, noting that "women today still make 77 cents on the dollar."

Citing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 signed by President Obama, Orman praises its significance:

"It allowed women to have more time to actually oppose and come and say, 'you're not treating me fairly,' says the "The Suze Orman Show" host. "It allowed women to be able to have lesser standards from the corporations to stand up to which means more women are winning so they can earn more. And that was a really important thing that happened."

A mother of two, Spencer insists the trend can be turned by empowering females at a very young age:

"It starts at home. We have to be working with our little girls, advocating, teaching them to advocate for themselves," says the television personality. "When they get a job, to go in and ask for the raise, use your voice. Just like the boys do."

Orman, meanwhile, suggests it's within women to stand up for themselves and demand equal consideration:

"I have a saying that women put themselves on sale. They're like on the sale rack. 'I'll work, you don't have to pay me. It's all right, I don't need a vacation. Oh, pay raise? We can go a few years without it so that you can be OK.' Men, are you kidding?"

Watch the clip, listen to the interview, then tune in this evening at 9 p.m. as Deutsch and the women touch upon politics, power, money, and equal opportunity.

A breath of fresh air! Donny was spontaneous, unforced, pleasant. Piers should take longer and more frequent breaks!

Suze Orman commented that there is no divorce in the Philippines. I think it is good to be given options. However, because of this law, I know Filipinos work harder to make marriages work. Btw, there is annulment in the Philippines

I don't understand you people. You have on 4 great women on but way too many topics and don't give any of them time to really get their thoughts and opinions out. I was very disappointed with Deutsch. He should have known better but then he is an advertising man. The women's names bought the viewers in even if they didn't have time to respond.

Throughout the awesome scheme of things you secure a B+ with regard to hard work. Where exactly you lost everybody was in your facts. As as the maxim goes, the devil is in the details… And it couldn’t be much more correct in this article. Having said that, let me say to you just what did work. The authoring is certainly quite persuasive and this is probably the reason why I am taking the effort to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, even though I can easily see a leaps in reasoning you come up with, I am not really certain of exactly how you seem to unite your points which inturn produce the actual conclusion. For the moment I will, no doubt yield to your point but wish in the future you actually link the dots much better.
