On Monday, Piers Morgan returned from assignment across the pond, welcoming former professional wrestler, and Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura for a primetime exclusive interview.
Speaking before a live studio audience, the man who describes himself as an Independent had some strong words for Mitt Romney. On the heels of the controversial comments caught on tape at a closed-door fundraiser, "The Body" concluded that the GOP presidential candidate was alienating voters who do not pay their income taxes:
"It shows me that Mitt Romney probably lives in a world that I don't live in," said Monday's guest. "He comes from wealth. And most people I find that are born with that kind of money truly don't know what it's like to be out there."
Speaking with his trademark brand of candor, Ventura went on to share his views on campaign financing, and super PAC's:
"Their entire political system is based upon bribery," said Ventura about the current M.O. in Washington.
"Who can bribe and give the most money to the politician and now, thanks to our illustrious Supreme Court that ruled that corporations have the same right as individuals and that money is free speech," he continued.
Engaging in spirited debate with Piers Morgan, Ventura also weighed in on 9/11, suggesting that the terror attacks were not a "failure of intelligence," but more so tied to the notion that the "Bush administration ignored the intelligence."
"We knew before. Condoleezza Rice's memo on August 6th when it stated right in the memo, [Osama] Bin Laden to steal planes and run them into buildings. And more stuff is coming out now," said the 61-year-old. "It was almost like they ignored it because they wanted it to happen."

Last night we saw what happens when you put a lamb in the coliseum with a lion. Piers truly showed last night with Mr. Ventura how brainwashed himself and a whole lot of people are in regards to politics and the world in general. I doubt very much you will have a field-day with this like you did the Robert Blake interview because last night you were truly put in your place by a better man. Maybe from now on just stick to the easier interviews like celebrities and leave the harder ones for your boss Ted Turner. I think next time he should interview Mr Ventura instead of yourself.

I agree with you regarding Mr. Venturas interview! Loved this interview, very intelligent , very Honest!!! But I have to mention that Ted Turner no longer has ANY control over CNN. Last I heard (2012) he was trying to buy back majority interest in CNN, since CNN has been performing soo..................Miserably.
Last night PM called Jesse a liar when he said the BBC was doing a report on building seven falling with building seven still standing in the background 20 minutes BEFORE it fell. MMmmmmmmm........This was a pretaped BBC report. How did the BBC know seven was to fall? THIS VIDEO IS ON YOU TUBE.
PM described BBC as the most trustworthy news agency. I will tell you of a similar broadcast. In 1965 war between Pakistan and India, BBC aired news report that Indian Army has conquered the Pakistani city of Lahore. People in India celebrated on this news, only to find later that Indian army was stuck on the other side of BRB river due to an unexpected blowing of the bridge. This is how credible BBC is.

I had been a Piers Morgan fan but after watching that interview and the interview of Chief Justice Scalia, I am convinced that PM lacks integrity and respect for others . I loved the look on Piers face when Jesse was de-bunking the official 9/11 story. Perhaps he should read 'Extreme Prejudice' by Susan Lindauer or 'Classified Woman' by Sibel Edmonds or listen to Steve Pieczenik on youtube to enhance his education about the 9/11 fable...which frankly you would have to be a kid to believe.

Your statements are completely false and off base John. What was OBVIOUS is that Piers needed to go to commercial because Ventura was being a gas bag trying to spew a conspiracy theory about 9/11. Ventura sounded like an utter fool and Piers is not going to entertain a nonsensical conversation. A BBC reporter saying the 2nd building falling 30 minutes before is did proves absolutely nothing other than the reporter was likely over hyped up. How utterly irresponsible and illogical to draw a conspiracy theory and use this BBC report as your first line of defense.

You don't know much about the laws of physics, do you? I do and have spent 40+ years devoting my time to the advancement of architecture and metallurgy around the world. I am a scientific member of the A & E 9-11 truth movement as well. I have been researching 9-11 for 10 years, and it is obvious that your opinion has nothing to do with fact. You provide nothing but banter as if our Gov't is so kind to you and innocent in every way. Or are you part of the dis and misinformation team? Refute the facts, not conjecture. No steel structured building in history has ever fallen due to fires, before or after 9-11. Why were the basements blown out? The 7 sub floors of the Trade Center basement were compromised thu explosives. Why do you suppose Palisades registered 2.1 & 2.3 earth quakes? It's because the blasts were coupled to the ground. It was a classic controlled demolition. Why after 5 weeks was there still molten metal in all 3 elevator shafts? What causes this kind of energy? Ever hear of thermite? I doubt it. Why was thermate found in the dust at the foot of the building's wreckage? Why is NIST, the 9-11 commission, and Popular Mechanics conclusions so flawed, and proven to be inaccurate? Is it because they are complicit too? YES. Why was the steel so quickly removed and shipped to China, as to remove evidence from the crime scene? So it couldn't be studied, again, YES.
Do some intelligent research before you show your ignorance to the ones who grasp the understanding that our Gov't, and others involved, were complicate in using this planned event as a pretext to war. Piers Morgan demonstrated he has not spent any time studying 9/11 and as the majority of journalists, pundits and editors is FULLY VESTED in the government's narrative. This is to be expected because what would any of these people do if it were determined 9/11 was an inside job. If this concept became main stream who would want to hear from these many people in the profession of journalism WHEN THEY MISSED THE BIGGEST STORY OF THEIR LIFETIME.
Piers obviously believes that a group of independent Muslim terrorists with no support from a competent intelligence agency ran a complex operation that resulted in the 9/11 attacks getting past a dozen US and Foreign intelligence agencies.
The fact that he believes the above to be true given all of the evidence to the contrary is a bigger sign of the mainstream media's purposeful ignorance of 9/11. These same media people are not in the slightest way perplexed as to why all of these bamboozled intelligence agencies did not lift a finger to find out why and how they were made to look so incompetent. The government launched a political commission instead of a criminal investigation that resulted IN NOT A SINGLE PERSON BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE. The US Joint Chiefs, CIA, NSA, DIA actually obstructed the investigation that was started a full year after the attacks. Think about that... the Pearl Harbor Attack on Dec 7 1941 had an investigation that began in Dec 1941 while 9/11's investigation started more than a year after the attacks. Also the Commission on Pearl Harbor resulted in an admiral and general being charged with dereliction of duty while 9/11 resulted in nothing.
I think Piers did a great job of demonstrating to the public his depth of study regarding the biggest history changing event of his lifetime. I took his not knowing about the BBC reporter (Jane Standley) stating Building 7 had collapsed with the building standing behind her the equivalent of Don Rumsfeld staying "what?" when he was asked about building 7 because he did not know what it was. I would guess Bush, Cheney, Rice etc.. never read any of the reports produced about the 9/11 or Anthrax attacks that took place on their watch. Why would they need to read a detailed report about what happened when they already know what happened because they are the perpetrators.

Piers needs to look at percentages of ALL types of murders when comparing England & Germany to the U.S, rather than total numbers gun murders only. Those countries are much smaller than us, therefore they have less murders, in general. And just because they have less guns in those countries, doesn't mean they don't murder in other ways (i.e. knives, billy clubs). That being said, we still probably haven more murders than they. But, then it becomes an issue of "why," not "how" these murders are happening.

Unfortunately, Jesse Ventura comes off as a religion hating atheist, and I also think his comments about all wars being about religion demonstrates his ignorance of the human condition. Just like you said Mr. Ventura, “guns don’t kill people. People kill people.”
Well “religion” doesn’t kill people either. People kill people. If there was no religion, the world would not suddenly turn into some kumbaya safe haven. In fact, I’d even argue the world may be worse off. At any rate, it’s typical human ignorance, arrogance, greed and corruption that causes war, whether the perpetrators hide behind religion, politics, philosophy, vain ideology or just plain avarice.
Religion is hijacked and used as an excuse to further some other agenda just like anything else – such as political parties – are hijacked. The masses are then worked up to fight for someone else’s agenda while believing they are fighting for some “higher” cause. Stop blaming religion and start putting the blame squarely where it belongs, on the people who abuse it.
Thoughts & ideas kill people. Religion fills peoples' heads with ideas & tells them how to think. Religion does not make things peaceful in the world. I am an atheist who has morals. I believe that I should treat people as I would like to be treated. Not because a god tells me so, but because I am a good person that respects others. If you need a god to teach you morals, you have a problem. Religious people commit crimes all the time. They do things that are immoral & go to church on Sunday to pray it all away & gain forgiveness. My old college roommate took drugs & cheated on his girlfriends, then went to church on Sunday to forgive himself. But, I was the heathen because I didn't believe in god. Priests molest children. How has religion prevented that? How has religion helped those children?
What little respect I had for PM is totally gone after watching this interview.

America’s military, paramilitary, and clandestine services are the most powerful force on Earth. If the aforementioned long-term goals were the objective of some shadowy and mysterious syndicate that you people attribute all these magic powers of omniscience to, why bother with cloak and dagger tactics? Fear is one of the strongest emotions humans experience, if they know everything and have all the resources why not simply assume full control and quell resistance the same way Stalin, Mao, Khomeini, and the Jacobins did?

Piers did an excellent job in this interview maintaining his decorum. Jesse ventura's inability to state his opinion on how HE would handle this situation in Iran if he were president showed his lack of conviction and knowledge. He has NO business entertaining the thought of running for president in 2016. Independents often lack conviction and their beliefs are all over the place never aligning with any ideology. They will be conservative on one topic and then radically liberal on another. You can never trust where they will stand on anything because they have no core foundation of beliefs.
There is one thing he said that was well said and that was about the corruption within all the political parties with corporate money. Anyone can draw that conclusion and MANY MANY people have.
I am an Independent. I am fiscally conservative. I am center/right socially. We are not all over the place with our views. We just have our own opinions. We do not just believe what our party tells us to believe.

Didn't a man once address an Oxford graduating class with the words, "Having an education should enable you to know when a man is talking rot..."?
