Bill Clinton on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iran: "They don’t have a tenable position"

Coming up this evening at 9 p.m., "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes former President Bill Clinton for a rare and candid primetime face to face interview.

In New York for his CGI Annual Meeting, Clinton offered his reaction to Morgan's recent interview with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, during which the Iranian president spoke about Israel and potential future military conflict:

"What they are really saying is, 'in spite of the fact we deny the holocaust, we threaten Israel, we demonize the United States, and we do all this stuff - we want you to trust us,'" details the 66-year-old Democrat. "'In spite of the fact that we won’t cooperate with the international regime setup to avoid an arms race in the Middle East and set up to avoid nuclear proliferation, we want you to trust us.' So they don’t have a tenable position."

Sitting directly across from the man who served as the nation's 42nd commander-in-chief from 1993 to 2001, Morgan asks a very straightforward question:

"Do you trust Ahmadinejad?"

"Not on this I don't," answers Clinton in an equally direct manner.

Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, then tune in this evening as the man who left the White House with the highest end-of-office approval rating of any U.S. president since World War II further explains why "no serious person believes" Ahmadinejad's explanation of Iran's stance on nuclear weapons.

I won't watch this slot of TV Infamy after sitting through your pandering of Ahmadeadmonkey.

On Yom Kippur eve its my prayer that Clinton and the crazed Iranian embrace and give each other AIDS.

Will the Jews in Iran be in synagogue or chained to a nuclear silo, would have been a more probing question
    than the crap you asked.

But, Charlie, when is Monica scheduled?

here is the truth behind the middle east conflict. ask yourself: Why aren't Americans shown these honest facts on any of the over 1,700 major media outlets? and WHAT OTHER INFO IS BEING WITHELD? Rachel Corrie: 'a true hero' was killed by the state of Israel, and by its brutal regime that practises not only 'mass punishment' but also 'ethnic cleansing'. The same regime that has displaced over 4 million Palestinians, and killed many thousands. The same regime that has denied the right to self-determination to the Palestinian people. A regime that systematically destroys the lives of innocents every single DAY.

Don't let the murder of Rachel Corrie stop you from seeking the truth. Please let Rachel Corrie voice live on.

Trust comes from the understanding and respecting of differences. When neither side trusts what the other is saying then diplomacy and dialogue has failed. When dialogue fails, hope fails, when hope fails this leads to uncertainty and possibly chaos but it is my belief that the citizens of the world will one day call out for peace. I dedicate my next sentence to the film 'The Quest for Peace'. The World will only come to peace when its citizens will want it so much that they will demand it from their Governments and they will help make that change towards peace-Neil Mukherjee. Inspired by the film 'The Quest for Peace-Superman IV.

With all due respect, their leader claims that WW2 took place. Does that not seem a bit "out there"?

Rae Abileah of CodePink on Disrupting Netanyahu's Congress Speech: "He's the Main Obstacle to Peace" can be seen on YouTube. – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech was warmly received by Democrats and Republicans in Congress on Tuesday. According to ABC News, Netanyahu received 29 standing ovations during his address—four more than President Obama received during his State of the Union address earlier in the year. However, there was at least one dissenting voice inside the halls of Congress on Tuesday. That was Rae Abileah, a Jewish-American activist of Israeli descent with the group CodePink disrupting Netanayahu. Standing in the Congressional gallery, she yelled, "No more occupation, stop Israel war crimes, equal rights for Palestinians, occupation is indefensible." As she screamed, members in the audience tackled her to the ground, and undercover security forces later dragged her outside. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital where she was treated for neck and shoulder injuries. At the hospital, police arrested Abileah and charged her with disorderly conduct for disrupting Congress. Abileah's protest came as part a week-long series of actions organized by CodePink called Move Over AIPAC. We speak to Abileah about why she used non-violent civil disobedience to disrupt Netanayahu's speech. $6,000,000,000,000.00 is what has been spent in the last four years. 1000 times one billion equals 1 trillion. The actual unemployed in the US is 22,576,621 or 15% . The unemployment number of people at the peak of the Great Depression in 1933 was 12,830,000 or 24.75% of labor force. Bill Clinton has sold us out. We are in dire straits and Obama doesn't know what he is doing. Expect a crash bigger than in the 30's coming soon unless we give business and the rich a reason to invest in our growth. Make them the enemy and your children will starve. Wake up.

first of all it was the Americans (president Carter ) who by not supporting the Shah, brought islamists to Iran and caused the whole middle-east crisis. Now CNN instead of interviewing the right people brings members of NIAC who re the known lobbyist of Islamic republic and Robin Wright who also is their supporter. Afterall what happened to the human rights that Mr. Carter accused the Shah of? Why the U.S. media does not speak about all the hangings and shooting of the people in Iran? And now the negotiations are taking place which no one is informed of and is overshadowed by the Isreali-Palestinian war. I personally do not think that CNN tells the truth or is after it.

The simple fact is that the US has more nuclear weapons than any other country in the world. I am not a fan of nuclear weapons and would prefer a world without ANY. However for a country with the largest stockplile of nuclear weapons to tell any other they should not have them is like saying "do as I say, and not as I do". If anyone behaved like that to me I would tell them to go and fly a kite.

Obama must have been one of them, because the Muslims in the far Indian Ocean after 1965 came from Africa.
