Beau Biden: "The President of the United States is lucky to have my dad at his side because he's the most loyal person I know"

In the aftermath of Monday's final presidential debate, this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes Attorney General of Delaware Beau Biden and his unique blend of measured candor and inside insight.

Piers Morgan asks the eldest son of current Vice President Joe Biden for his reaction to Barack Obama admitting dissent within the White House.

"Those decisions generally – generally are not poll-tested," Obama revealed Monday night, referring to him giving the order to go after Osama bin Laden. "Some in my own party, including my current vice president, had the same critique as you did."

After rolling the clip of that moment of the debate, Morgan offers his own reaction, then asks the same of his guest:

"I was shocked by that, he didn't need to say that," insists the host. "That's his vice president, it wasn't very loyal, was it?"

"I think what the president was referring to was, statements during the 2008 debate about how we - and whether or not we would go into Pakistan to get bin Laden," answers the 43-year-old.

With all debates now in the books and the election itself only two weeks away, the younger Biden shares details of his father's commitment to the commander-in-chief:

"There's no loyal - more loyal person in my life that I've known, than the vice president, my father. And the partnership that he has with the President of the United States is as rock-solid as it could be," says the Delaware Army National Guard Major and Iraq War veteran. "My father is a great partner to him. The President of the United States is lucky to have my dad at his side because he's the most loyal person I know."

Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, then tune in this evening at 9 as the father of two further explains the relationship between his own dad and the president.

You are interviewing with Newt tonight?
A balanced interview with Newt and who???
Why not make it really interesting? Interview with Newt and Bill Clinton. Now THAT would be an interview.

I thought CNN was centered between FOX NEWS and MSNBC. I've noticed a change in CNN.
Who's pocket is CNN in these days?

      I noticed too.
Especially  with reference to PM. Seems like leaning towards FOX.  What a pity...... How could one keep changing one's convictions and still proclaim he is the right person to lead.  Scary....
Confused parents cannot guide their children, leave alone manage themselves
I am watching PM show. BOY, he seems to be making all negative remarks about Obama and mild when asking questions about M.R.
Giving more time to pro MR.

I think it's real funny how they keep saying we’re ending the war in Afghanistan. In Fact we not going anywhere maybe some of the conventional army but special forces will be here for a lot longer time frame.

Barack Obama had no policy on Iraq. He just undid what George had built. 'Domolition' is Obama's true trade!

You're doing an interview with Beau Biden and showing Kid Rock at a Romney campaign event... that was strange.. what's that all about? Also, I won't be watching if you are going to interview Newt AGAIN... don't like him and don't want to hear anything he has to say...

We need Quantanamo Bay open to accommodate all the white collar criminals leading our Country, including Gingrich who is the biggest fraud in American history.

I thought cnn was a middle of the road news organization but lately in watching Mr. Morgan leads me to believe that he is pro Replican. He seems to be very snarky when interviewing anyone who is pro Obama. Is Morgan even a citizen? I never missed an episode of Larry king even tho I believe he is a Republican. I never recall him acting respectable to all his guests. I wont watch Morgan again!

Very disrespectful Kid Rock at a Romney campaign during Beau Biden's interview! Hope we get to see something similar for Obama!

Thank you! Piers I had to turn this interview off because of the kid rock in the background. Lately, you seem very biased in your interviews...I am disappointed.

Why would they show Kid Rock over 3/4 of the screen and have Beau Biden merely speaking over it?? It was distracting from what Beau had to say. Interesting how they didn't do that while Newt was being interviewed. I found it disrespectful to Beau Biden. Doesn't seem like a balanced way of showing both sides.

I can't believe your shortsightedness and your total denial as to where Romney was last night. Poor whining Mitty saying to the President "you're attacking me!" He was not answering the questions, he was rambling on into the 23 million unemployed, etc. going back to the 2 previous debates. Where were you Piers, sleeping throughout. He's no White House material and as for you, an interviewer for CNN, taking sides, is poor judgment on your part and you're showing a side of yourself, better left unseen in your CNN position, for viewership attraction, if nothing else. Your obvious leaning to the Republican Tea party extreme conservatism is a total turnoff as a viewer of smart interviews and
your disrespect of Mr. Beau Biden tonight was uncalled for and he showed more class towards you than you deserved and you seem to need a very long rest and reflections on your bullying techniques in interviewing.

This show makes me sick. Pierce Morgan should move to Fox Tv. He has as much no class as Trump and dances to any thing that glitters. What a Pathetic journalists .

Lu, Neither did your Messiah !!! After months of needling by critics, the Obama camp came up with a booklet being distributed on the streets of Wash DC purportedly his "Plan" !!! After going through that so called "Obama Plan" for the second term, I find it is long on verbage and short on details. It is nothing but a repeat of what he spouts on the campaign trail !!! If YOU call that a plan, then you don't know what the purpose of a plan is !!!!

It was a very cheesy interview on the part of the interviewer. Beau Biden should have said it is okay for the President and Vice President to disagree. At least this Administration actually vets the issues instead of acting in knee-jerk fashion.

Doesn't anyone care about the poor & suffering? I am from the upper middle class and I am concerned with the less fortunate!!! THAT is the question!! Don't the Republicans get it!! They are supposed to be the "right wingers" that are supposed to "care"!!! "Relegious and all!!!! Don't really feel they are living as Christ would have wanted!! Also, work with ALL Republicans who say "Democrats are "stupid". What happened to respect!!!!

P, I am not very keen on the Govt acting Santa Claus with my tax money. Because the bureaucrats are not accountable and responsile and we should trust them with as little of our tax money as is absolutely necessary. Cases in point. Fraud in welfare, food stamps, medicaid et al. I would prefer private charities collect donations from us and provide charitable services. to the needy. We have NO problem with that. But govt playing Santa claus ! NO !!.

Obama missed a great opportunity during the debate to look " presidential". Instead of appearing angry, shrill, loud and generally unpleasant, he could have resorted to his tired, old, trite phrases like BINDER, BIG BIRD, MIDDLE CLASS OUT, OSAMA, BAIL OUT..... !! The poll result would not have changed but at least he would NOT appear to be a nasty fellow !!!

The American voters can see poor journalisms. 80 percent of Americans are checking " Fact check" and can clearly
see Romney failed the command of State test, regardless what the TV pandit have to say.

Why doesn't Piers call out Gingrich for unnecessary crude personal assaults against Obama's character, such as saying Obama takes credit from the Navy Seals for getting Bin Ladden. While Beau Biden was articulate, thoughtful, and respectful, Gingrich was crass, decisive, and a liar. Very disappointed in Piers lack of balance in giving Gingrich a platform to spew his BS.

Agree w/ disclaimer1 100%! Newt projects and projects! Joe B himself has said in public the wasn't sure about the Bin Laden adventure; that his closeness w/ the Pres is based on their mutual respect, even if they may disagree temporarily on some points. Playing 'Devil's Advocate' seems to be one of Joe's loyalty attributes. He is the best VP ever. So Piers, make your fireworks somewhere else.. You can do betterThis is not news, nor fair to Beau Biden to even have him on the sane show as Newt, who is no expert, nor historian, nor he deserve a second more of free air time ever.

Disappointed in Piers Morgan interviews of Beau Biden and Newt Gingrich. When President Obama said in the debate even his VP Joe Biden didn't agree that we should attack the compound where Bin Laden might be but one was certain, I feel Obama was pointing out what a very difficult decision it was when most of his advisors were telling him to play it safe and not do it. Biden was playing devil's advocate but I'm sure supported him in his decision. In the end President Obama had to make the very coursgeous and dangerous decision on his own as Commander in Chief. Many (Romney for one I believe) could not would not have had the courage and steadiness to do so.

Piers should be ashamed of himself. How petty to address one single comment from Obama about Biden to his son, Beau Biden. Are you serious? Who does that? I am glad that Beau didn't feed into your foolishness and fuel the non-existent turmoil that you wish was taking place between the two leaders of our Country. I have lost total respect for Piers and will change the station when his show airs from now on.

Canadians tune into CNN, too! Showing Kid Rock singing at a Mitt Romney event during an interview with Beau Biden was not only distracting to viewers who were trying to listen to the conversation but extremely disrespectful to the loving son of America's Vice President. For Mr. Morgan to later in the show jokingly quip that "Kid Rock had been playing a concert for us earlier" seemed to further make the situation worse. Why was Kid Rock not singing and sharing the screen during the Newt Gingrich interview which followed? The British people generally are known for their civility and manner of deportment . Mr. Morgan should look to these Britsh traits for guidance and act and speak accordingly in the future.

Could not agree more. Piers(sp) is very typical of most 'talking heads' which seek ratings over content. Piers, go back to London where they understand your dumbing down style.
