Only in America: Unmasking the next president
On Tuesday, Piers Morgan used his "Only in America" segment to solicit some holiday help, in hopes of unmasking the nation's next commander-in-chief:
"Forget the polls and the pundits, there's only one true barometer for who will be the next President of the United States," said Morgan. "Halloween."
Displaying a pair of likenesses of the incumbent and his challenger, the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host detailed the relevance of the revelry:
"Look at these [Barack] Obama and [Mitt] Romney masks – same slick expressions, same rubbery smiles – pretty close to the real thing, right?" he joked.
"But the reason Mitt Romney may not find it quite as funny as Barack Obama is that his masks are being comfortably out-sold by those of the President – by 60% to 40%."
But why is that important? With the election less than two weeks away, could a political mask really help uncover voter tendencies?
According to Morgan, in recent memory the most-masked man has ultimately become the face seen passing out candy at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:
"For the last four elections, political mask sales have all pointed to the winner in November."
Backing it up, Morgan reviewed victories by Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama himself four years ago, as in each instance the winning politician had out-sold his competition in October, painting a clear picture for this year's eventual winner come November:
"So, there it is – the next President of the United States is going to be Obama again."
However, the Halloween hilarity did not end there, as Morgan revealed a potential third party option:
"Apparently out-selling even Obama and Romney in some parts of America is another potential candidate," he explained.
"Only in America," he then announced, would the leader of the free world rather belly-flop into a mud pit than lounge on the White House lawn:
"Someone with youth, gender and popularity firmly on her side ... Madam President Honey Boo-Boo, a proud nation awaits."

Corrections cannot stop a thief or rapist from reoffending. Bush decided to close Gitmo, it is not easy finding clowns to take these people. Obama knew they are not coming to America, no way because we can't get rid of them and can't keep them inside forever. Bush decided to try to resettle detainees EU, which you would think is dangerous for terrorist free borders. then it came to a halt, 15% are a danger to America. Candidate Obama made a promise, President Obama knows the same thing as Bush and he is stuck with the same problem with Gitmo.
You have to back in time when the decision to close Gitmo was made 2005 London was under attack by cleanskin terrorists. Made public in 2007 Gitmo. I can't remember the exact dates. Putting 15% they will end up coming the other way.
The powers Bush and Cheney, (torture) Obama does not use, but he has not allowed a precedent which would make those illegal, in case he needs them at some point. And whoever get 4 years has the same problem. It does not matter who vote for reality is reality, Obama saw that, what he would like to do and reality of the situation and solutions to those problems. They don't change.
Romney knows so he agrees generally with President on FP. Gitmo is Gitmo, terrorists are terrorists and 5 years is all we got for Afghanistan cash wise, we could stay longer and spend more, but there is a line in regards to national security priorities, core interests. It is not that the US can't stay longer, 5 years is all that is willing to be allocated.
Only in the USA could President Obama be relected , he has brought the country too financial ruin.He promised to bring the country together , it is so far apart , as it was before the civil war. People are now nasty towards one another and this guy is going to get relected. Go figure . Only in the USA
