Clips From Last Night: Jack Welch says Romney "didn't get it done"; Beau Biden says of Joe, "I was extremely proud of him"

On Wednesday evening, less than 24 hours after America voted to re-elect Barack Obama for a second term, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomed Jack Welch for his honest reaction to the result.

A noted Mitt Romney supporter, the business executive and author detailed where he felt the Republican candidate came up short:

"He didn't get it done ... he didn't get the minorities. He didn't get the young women. So he really had an issue with that population and he didn't carry them. He didn't sell the story," concluded the 76-year-old from Massachusetts.

With the election in the books, Welch didn't second-guess the candidate he chose to endorse, but was nonetheless able to give credit where it was warranted:

"I think he's [Romney] a wonderful man, I think he's a great guy, I think he would have been a great president. But it's over and the president's got to be commended for - what a campaign."

As for those that woke up Wednesday on the winning side, Piers Morgan welcomed Beau Biden, who's father will remain in Washington, D.C. for the next four years:

"He played a critically important role in this campaign. The vice presidential debate came at a time where there was a bit of a slide if you looked at some of the polls. And he stopped that," said the Attorney General of Delaware of his dad, the vice president.

"I don't think there was a better spokesperson on behalf of the president in the party and what the administration wants to do over the next four years than my father. I was extremely proud of him."

Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, as representatives from both sides of the aisle weigh in on the results of the general election.

The election was marathon; and like every marathon these days, you got to give it to the man from Kenya!

Romney didn't get it done because he was forced to promote the ideology of the far right wing nuts in the GOP to get the nomination, then was seen as flip flopping when he tried to appeal to people in the general election. Every time he said something moderate or reasonable he was pilloried by the nut cakes; or one of them said something so stupid it took your breath away. It was, to borrow from Carl Rove, the gift that kept on giving. And it will probably keep giving into 2016 and beyond because they seem incapable of keeping their mouths closed.

The media was bough by Romney and his stooges. The truth was Romneys vision was based on empty facts. We are sick and tired sending our young to war based on information coming from one nation that is actually running us. Thank heavens we no longer have to hear Thomas Pererffy. Romney lost because the American voter are sick of being heald hostage to guilt.

Mr. Romney was dishonest ,,hiding tax returns....not paying taxes on multi/millions hidden in tax shelters in 5 or 6 countries..being unAmerican,,a non patriot but still eager to be the leader of the free world...& he still felt he was going to win up to the last moment ....
