Clips From Last Night: Deval Patrick and Dan Rather on the next four years in Congress; The debate on legalizing marijuana

On Thursday, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcome Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and "Dan Rather Reports" Host Dan Rather to the program to bring their insight into the next four years on the Hill.

"I think we are going to see a different kind of dynamic with Congress," said Patrick. "The American people have affirmed a politics of conviction and rejected a politics of obstruction. It's very important for everybody in the Congress to understand and I think they do."

Rather, on the other hand, doesn't think President Barack Obama is going to have a successful second term. "The Republican Congress, particularly the leadership, they would rather walk through a furnace in a gasoline suit than do some of the things that President Obama is going to want them to do just as one person, one citizen, election's over, let's get this thing together."

Also on Thursday, Piers Morgan moderated a debate between two men from opposite sides of the argument about legalizing marijuana. Former Obama Drug Policy Adviser Kevin Sabet said legalization of marijuana is a terrible idea. "Legalization is really an extreme answer," Sabet said. "The issue is legalization isn't going to do these things that are being promised. I'm still waiting for the lottery to save public education and for alcohol taxes to pay for the cost that alcohol brings to society. The math doesn't work."

"We know one thing. Marijuana prohibition has been a massive failure," said Brian Vicente, an attorney who campaigned for Amendment 64 in Colorado. "Washington and Colorado have decided to move forward with a new approach and end the failed policy of prohibition. Marijuana prohibition didn't work any better than alcohol prohibition."

Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, as the debate on legalizing marijuana continues to rage.

If he impacts you in more than one way, yeah, certainly it helps. The Bucs also might want to consider making a strong offer. While a trade for Darrelle Revis remains a possibility, there鈥檚 Ryan Getzlaf Premier Jersey no guarantee that deal will happen. Grimes might be the best cornerback left in free agency. The Bucs may be able to land him if they come up with Wayne Gretzky Oilers Jersey an offer Jarome Iginla Premier Jersey similar to Cleveland鈥檚.The Denver Broncos are a candidate to host the NFL season opener Sept. 5 against the World Champion Baltimore Ravens.

I'm nostalgic for a different time in the 20th century, namely the first 20 years. It was a dizzying time to be alive, with airplanes, automobiles and handle-bar mustaches coming into vogue. Had Leafs Blank Jersey I lived back then I could have hob-nobbed with Albert Einstein or tickled the ivories with Irving Berlin, all whilst canoodling a radiant Lillian Gish. I would have looked resplendently foppish in a three button frock coat and tweed knickers, topped off Brad Boyes jersey with the sharpest homburg this side of 5th Avenue. Customized Lightning Jersey But most importantly, I could have watched tug of war at the Olympics.
