From Arizona to Aurora, Oregon to Connecticut, Piers Morgan and guests react to various gun incidents

As America deals with the most recent in a series of shocking and tragic gun deaths that have devastated the nation of late, this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" will air a live edition of the program, covering every facet of Friday's horrific school shooting in Newtown, CT.

Dating as far back as the assassination attempt on Gabrielle Giffords that left six others dead in January of 2011, and the April case of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, firearm legislation has been a polarizing and divisive issue for Piers Morgan and his various guests.

Below, a timeline chronicling various episodes of "Piers Morgan Tonight," during which experts, analysts, and news makers share their various insights and perspectives:

May 19th, 2011: Ted Nugent on guns, America: "Anybody that wants to disarm me can drop dead."

February 28th: Bill Maher on guns in America: "This is a gun culture, we love guns."

April 13th: Cory Booker on gun laws: "What really infuriates me is the level of violence that we have in America that's preventable."

April 18th: Cornel West and Tavis Smiley on Ted Nugent's "off the wall" comments and the Trayvon Martin shooting.

July 20th: Piers Morgan on gun control: "I'll tell you the day to debate it, it would have been yesterday, to prevent this from happening."

July 23rd: Mayor Michael Bloomberg on gun control: "Across this country, mayors in every city have to address the guns on the street issue."

July 24th: Michael Moore speaks out: "I am not going to come on another one of these damn TV shows either, after the next one of these shootings."

July 24th: Lawyer Alan Dershowitz on the research of author John Lott Jr.: "Junk science ... paid for by the National Rifle Association."

July 27th: Mitt Romney on gun legislation: "The effort to continue to look for some law to somehow make violence go away is missing the point."

August 10th: Montel Williams on America's relationship with guns: "Violence is a part of our society."

November 8th: Mark Kelly on facing Jared Loughner in court Thursday: "It was tense, especially when he walked into the room."

November 26th: Willie Nelson on the arms debate: "A lot of guns ... there's no need for civilians to own those ... those are for military."

December 6th: Carol Roth compares gun laws to violence in Syria, Alan Dershowitz disagrees: "That is so ridiculous."

December 10th: Bob Costas on the NFL's gun message to it's players: "It's infinitely more likely that something bad will happen if you’re armed, than that something good will happen.”

December 14th: Piers Morgan on the Newtown, Conn. school shooting: "How many more kids have to die, before you guys say, 'we want less guns, not more.'"

December 16th: Dan Gross of the Brady Campaign: "We don't want to live in a society where violence leads to more violence, and guns leads to more guns."

December 17th: Dianne Feinstein on assault weapons: "They are designed to kill large numbers of people ... I don't believe the Second Amendment covers them."

December 18th: Larry Pratt on guns in America: "Evil's in our hearts. Not in the guns."

Watch the clips, and review the interviews, then tune in this evening at 9 for updated news and reaction following Friday's school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Unfortunately this is the price of freedom that guys like Pratt are allowed to speak. Keep up the good fight Piers however I feel you are beating a dead horse. Politicians have no morals it all about the MONEY. It going to take a grassroots movement to bring gun controls in. Maybe we can all send in money so we can send the politicians on nice junkets so we can have their vote like the lobbyists do. How about banning lobbyist.

"Politicians have no morals it all about the MONEY" hohoho, now that's rich.
Did you know Piers Morgan used to work as a "journalist" in Britain? I use journalist in the loosest possible terms mind you.
And did you also know he was fired from his job working at the Daily Mirror because he staged photos of British Troops torturing Afghan Civilians?
Now tell me how Piers Morgan is a good person, how he is a moral figure to look up to. Britain doesn't want that piece of trash, and now he's ruining America.

There certainly are no easy answers to the gun violence that exists in the USA but how can anyone in their right mind think allowing more people to own and carry guns and rifles of any kind with little or no control reduce the number of violent deaths.
Good on Piers Morgan for speaking out against these people who so strongly support this insane love of guns some hold!

You're right Piers has been a naughty boy!
He does have some skeletons rattling in that closet – much like most American politicians (e.g. Clinton). Some of the antics he got up to would be appluded & defended by right wing politicans though.
Sometimes it requires a risk taker to use those gonads to confront the perveyors of death that US politicans are to scared to take on & so many citizens have been brinwashed into accepting. NRA pays fortunes into most politicians campaigns then blackmails YOUR representatives into submission. It's democracy railroaded.
NRA is funded by weapons dealers & manufacturers who make money from the suicides of your most vounerable, gun related accidents to innocents and propegators of the evils you hae recently witnessed. Stop being so selfish. Your hobby & need for a large phalic symbol is shallow. Develop a good character not a trigger finger.

If we're going to start taking away rights, we might as well take away the 1st Amendment while we're at it.
We should have the Media restricted, so that they can't sensationalise mass shootings. I believe one of the reasons there are so many, is because a mentally deranged person sees it on the News, and decides "I'm going to be famous the quick and easy way, and I'm taking everyone down with me".
And the fact that Media groups will do anything for ratings e.g "Phone hacking scandal, the editing of Zimmerman's phonecall to a dispatcher.

What's your problem with peoples' hobbies? You seem to have a real difficulty understanding an American concept of personal freedom. Get your own hobby – whatever it is – as long as it doesn't harm others – and, as English say, sod off.

this is the only place i could find to post a comment about anything. so sorry for change of subject but maybe we need one.... Did anyone see the Piers morgan and guests call for shooting Alex Jones video? if not you all need to look it up. they make what seem to me to be threats, towards Alex Jones. talking about Peirs morgan bringing Alex back and challenging him to a boxing match and shooting him with a "legally bought assualt rifle". then his guests all laugh about it. a woman chimed in saying something like, "while wearing a uniform". is it just me or would any other average american citizen get arrested for making public threats and be looking at serious jail time for making a statement like this? But it's okay because Peirs Morgan is a foreigner and they can get away with anything in our country. I WANT CNN TO MAKE A PUBLIC APOLOGY TO ALEX JONES FOR THOSE STATEMENTS AND THEIR BLATANT DISREGARD FOR THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE PUBLIC. I'M PERSONALLY OUTRAGED AS A CNN VIEWER THAT THEY CAN AND PROBABLY WILL GET AWAY WITH THIS STATEMENT. SOMETHING LEGAL NEEDS TO COME OF THIS AND NOW!!!!!!

Children huddle in closets, waiting on help, defenseless. Murdered. One by one. If each school had two (as an example) ARMED teachers that had been trained, perhaps the evil could have been stopped sooner. Everyone keeps thinking if we outlaw guns all of this goes away. Evil has never left this planet.

The hole in the argument – arm teachers – The idiots who argue for arming everyone have no clue how hard it is to actuallty shoot another human being. Put a gun in an average person's hand in they are far more likely to hit a wall or a window then they are to hit a bad guy with a gun. The end result is collateral damage and more innocents killed. These "arm everybody" idiots assume some low level training will qualify any person to be able to shoot "bad" guys. Ask your local law enforcement officials how that works out. It's time for common sense to prevail – No one needs an AR 15 or 30 round magazines to go hunting. It's time to stop believing that anyone with a gun can shoot a bad guy – It's far more likely they will kill an innocent.

You bring up a good point. Until we take money out of politics, special interest groups will use politicians as a conduit to legislate for the gun industry. I am not too optimistic about an unbiased “conversation” between the two camps. We need to take politics out of the discussion first.
From my perspective, anyone who argues they need a semi-automatic assault weapon for hunting isn’t a sportsman. Probably not even a hunter.

Thanks Piers for giving a voice to the other 150 million law abiding citizens.

How about "special interest groups" lobbing for effin' bailed out bankers, accountants, all the rest of the political scene rubbish...they all can stay as long as they don't lobby for guns. Understand one thing – criminals don't obey laws – that's why we call them criminals; paper sign will not give you & your family safety. Gun will. Get to be a gun advocate yourself – you'll see there's no lobby, just group of people, citizens who want to keep this sinking ship floating. Have you ever heard of socialist idea of breaking the democracy from inside, a great economic collapse – means spend more money that you get and make the State bankrupt. Barack borrowed from China 50% more than we already owed them. Ask him about it and look how he'll call you a racist.

Piers Morgan forgets that our forefathers fought against his evil forefathers for our freedom.!! If he doesn't like the fact that we can own guns and doesn't like our second amendment then he has the freedom to go back to England where he came from. Don't tell people that they are shaming this country because millions of gun owners don't agree.!! When our Liberal congress lets the cartels from the cesspool of Mexico cross the borders and set up shop in our forests then they have no right to complain about anything. They need to build more mental hospitals and check themselves in.
Piers Morgan is disgusting and in my opinion is not above a Moron. !!!!!

      • The US has the highest gun ownership rate in the world – an average of 88 per 100 people. That puts it first in the world for gun ownership – and even the number two country, Yemen, has significantly fewer – 54.8 per 100 people
      • But the US does not have the worst firearm murder rate – that prize belongs to Honduras, El Salvador and Jamaica. In fact, the US is number 28, with a rate of 2.97 per 100,000 people
      • Puerto Rico tops the world's table for firearms murders as a percentage of all homicides – 94.8%. It's followed by Sierra Leone in Africa and Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean

It is you anti-gun idiots that can't wait for something to happen so you can jump on your holier than though bandwagon and put law abiding gun owners on the defensive and then cry about us defending our point of view. Nobody is going to surrender their firearms, so save your freaking breath and start talking about the horrible mental health system we have, at least as far as insurance companies go and what they will pay for. Any of my gun owning friends would have thrown themselves between the gunman and a child to protect them. No doubt in my mind. Myself included. This was an act I cannot begin to fathom, How sick in the brain could you be to do something like this.

No one that I have heard, has said get rid of all guns. They are saying weapons of mass destruction need to be looked at more seriously. That is all, stop being so ignorant of what the discussion is. Get it out of your head that they want to take your guns away. Be reasonable and pay attention to the discussion, you will not lose your right to bear arms. Weapons of mass destruction should be regulated and treated a little different than your normal everyday gun.

It was sad to see how out of control Piers got during this show. That will be the problem with any potential gun control, emotions will play too high on both sides. When traveling worldwide take a good look at public places, there is usually an armed guard nearby, don't understand why we don't put to good use the many retired cops and returning vets as guards in the schools and large public places...i for one would not be opposed to seeing an armed guard and going through a metal detector. Having a "drug free" or "gun free" zone is ridiculous, criminals don't stop to read a sign, but they would and could be stopped by an armed guard...just think the principal and psycologist at Sandy Hook tried to stop the killer...unarmed...had that been an armed guard he may never have had the chance to get to the class rooms. same

What a stupid comment. Guns don't kill, people kill! If it weren't a gun, it would have been another weapon. On the SAME DAY a man in China went into a school and stabbed 30 people, including children. When you arm a community, you see less crime, FACT. When you take guns away from law-abiding citizens, the criminals run rampant, FACT. Piers Morgan is nothing but a bully. He demands to be allowed to go on his rants, but as soon as someone else starts talking and making more sense than he could ever dream of making, he interrupts, calls names and makes stupid comments. Why is he even here? OH, that's right, because the UK doesn't want him. I think we should send him back to his own country and let them deal with him.

America has become a war zone. I f Americans want to own a gun or guns, the Government should implement a law where by every license gun owner should have insurance on each and every gun they own. The same way every motor vehicle has insurance, every gun owner should have insurance. The law would tack every gun that was sold and to whom they were sold to. And if anyone gets killed by these gun the insurance company will pay the family member of the victims. Each policy should be no less than three million dollars for each gun.

Hey Ann, it's a warzone in Compton, California not in Texas. Illegal guns, like the ones Maobama gives to Mexico, kill Americans everyday. Not legally owned by responsible owners. If you believe different, you're just sadly misguided. Make your own research.

I understand that mr. Morgan is passionate about this issue and trust me I understand. I realize many will ignore the issue and focus on him being British and interrupting the opposing view but when people use the time to repeat non sense regardless of whichever side they represent they should be cut off. No legislation can stop people who are determined to do wrong just like police don't actually prevent most crime but rather respond to it. This doesn't mean we don't hire more police as a deterrent to crime. Legal means won't keep guns out of criminal hands, it's part of being a criminal but we can make it harder for them to get them. As for the ban on assault weapons the way we answer Mr. Tea Party spokesman is to not that the time it takes to reload my be the time bought to jump or take out the shooter. Plus the likelihood of survival from another type of weapon may be more likely than when you have the shrapnel from your own bones shattering nearby organs and blood vessels in your body. Maybe you can hit the ground with only one bullet in you in that second before they move on to the next as opposed to being riddled with six or more in the same period of time. That just seems like a obvious thing. Last item, teachers are there to teach. If we must have armed people in the schools, universities they need to be trained professionals so the teachers can focus on those who are in their care. They need to be able to focus on locking down the classroom and getting the students to safety with as little panic as possible. We don't need them outside the room adding to the body count, confusion (especially since at the time most people don't know who the shooter is and upon seeing someone else with a gun may encounter friendly fire) or leaving the room now exposed since you've exited the room to come shoot the unknown assailant. I think we can all be grown ups about this and have a safer country. No law will ever be perfect no completely stop the plans of evil people but we must make very effort to stop what we can.

Mr. Pratt is so blinded by his ignorance that he cannot even consider alternatives to the assualt weapons? Ridiculous, I agree with Piers that we need to be able to defend ourselves, but I'm comfortable that my shotgun is a sufficient defense if I should ever need to use it.

Hey Dave, it's Dave. Are so naive as to think all they want are assault rifles. They have to do it a little at a time. Put a different spin each time they want something else, like your shotgun. As a gun owner you should realize or educate yourself a little that the 2nd Amendment was put in for protection against domestic or foreign enemies. It's not about hunting, self defense, or fun.

Pierce Morgan has lost his objectivity , and shows his biases daily. It is his job to inform not to write policy. His going on last night only showed his ignorance as he resorted to schoolyard name calling and speaking over his guest because he did not agree with his point of view. This is not journalism and should be dealt with.

Thank you for giving all of us a voice, Pier Morgan. I'm the mother of a little boy, terrified that I will have send my son to school soon, and I don't want to live every day being afraid that it will be the last time I'll see him. IT IS NOT NORMAL to live with that fear in a civilized society. But it seems that all you gun lovers are telling the country "get used to living that way, because that's the way it's going to be!"
Wake up America! Massacres like this are happening more and more often, and nobody is safe as long as there's so many military style guns out there. I understand some people love their hobbies, and their civil liberties, but there's something wrong with the American culture if you value these more that human life.
Why did this joke of a man (Pratt) not mention anything about the anguish in poor little childrens' hearts, who could not even understand what was happening to them as hundreds of bullets were penetrating their little bodies?!!! I still cannot believe that some people out there are not even budged by this image, but they're outraged that the government will take their military style assault rifles away!!
What is the point of you having that in the first place?? Their only purpose is to take as many human lives as possible.

And getting killed by a crazed idiot was. And it is still. So take precautions that you are not the dead victim in the end. Do whatever fits you, like a social experiment – maybe wear a banner saying "gun free killing zone". Or buy a gun and get proficient with it. I know what worked for me.

Absolutely right Piers!!! But keep telling your viewers to contact their congressmen and senators demanding a proper ban on these weapons. The more phone calls and emails and faxes that are sent to the representatives demanding action, the more they will know that this is a major issue that needs to be regulated. They need to be inundated with responses from the people. We know that this will not stop some tragedies from happening, but it will certainly go a long way to helping to stop this kind of thing from happening again.

You go, Piers. You are right on. My 15 year old son was killed by a shotgun blast to the head at close range in a friend's bedroom. the shooter was 16 years old. He forgot that the gun was fully loaded, the safety off, that you don't point at people and pull the trigger. the shooter was an avid violent video game player. the shooter faced no legal consequences. the county attorney refused to press charges. a year later a 30 year old man was fined, ordered to community service and had his gun taken away for shooting a bald eagle. this happened in rural Kansas. 3 years after we buried our 20 year old daughter. we have since moved to a different state. there is no such thing as gun safety in this country. children are allowed to attend a 3 hour hunter safety course and that's all they get for the rest of their lives? insanity.

I got lost in that story of yours, Rhonda. Are you sure it's all truth? Injustice can happen everywhere, but that seems little obscene. Nobody who own guns "forgets" about anything like safety. People make AD's – so called Accidental Discharges happen. Like road collisions. I'm sorry for you & your family if you didn't get the justice you expected. But was it a gun who killed your kid, or another human being. He's responsible, not the tool he used, non-alive object. If that guy would use a baseball bat or a knife, would it make you feel any better?

When you talk about guns please talk about both sides. Media should include both sides' opinions.
    1. When Columbine incident happened, Clinton was the president and assault rifle ban was in place. So called laws you are trying to pass now. Didi they work ? Nah, the shooter got the weapons illegally and did it.
    2. Why do you need a nicer home, nicer car, bigger boat, or even your own jet? That is why someone who likes guns wants a better rifle, AR or whatever is legal. No one is talking about automatic AR anyways. They are illegal and most AR owners know that.
    3. CT has one of the toughest gun laws in the states and t5he shooter still got to the weapons he wanted. So also mention that no law will prevent these incidents.
    4. Guns are a long time tradition in United States. You need to change the tradition and collect all the guns or passing some laws will not prevent it in my opinion.
    5. I am also bringing some solution or suggestions to the table as a gun owner: a) Certainly make background checks mandatory on every weapon transaction. b) Make sure people who needs help with mental disorders or people on psychotic drugs cannot buy a weapon legally. it wouldn't be hard to implement and check this database when selling a weapon. c) Have a uniformed and ARMED personnel in the school premises. Just one as a deterrent. Would be retired law enforcement, a soldier coming back from iraq or other places. This would create bunch of jobs also.

If you look at the history and facts, all these incidents happen in gun free zones. Coward murderers go kill people at places where they are not allowed to defend themselves. Almost all incidents happened at gun free zones where law abiding citizens can't carry guns but only criminals can get in with guns.

And finally Pierce, remember that guns don't kill people. People kill people. You cannot blame the tools killing people or you would have to ban cars, medical equipment, motorcycles, machinery used in construction etc.

I don't see how you're going to get a behavioral health background check on anyone without violating HIPAA. That law would have to be relaxed if we want to verify psychological deviancy prior to selling them a particular product. Certainly it seems like we need a way to screen folks more proficiently. Don't know how we can do it, though.

Why does CNN force the pin headed views of a foreign national: UK citizen, soon to be indicted over violation of privacy rights in his own country, down our throats each night? Is it all about sensationalism rather than journalism in the 21st century? I guess on the face of it, if that is what it’s all about these days, hiring the scandal rag queen of Briton may have looked like a great idea at the time.

If he hates the way the US is run, our views, our people and our politics so much, send him packing. He is here only to further his career [if you’d call it that: game show host that he is].

Surely CNN can find someone from America who did not flee their country [screwed up as it is by folks like him] to come over here and call mild mannered people name who disagree with his extreme views. He calls it journalism I’ll bet; I call it wearing out your welcome sport!

I can only assume CNN has resorted to outsource their supported socialist viewpoint by bringing in the likes of him because they cannot find local talent. Rush Limbaugh is a laughable political extremist kind of comedian, we allow it because he is one of us, and Mr. Morgan is not. I’m not sure he is even a welcomed guest anymore.

Give him the boot before your network is pulled into his phone scandal and hire Michael Moore or something. At least you’ll be proclaiming your position on things honestly.

May I ask where are my rights as a someone who does not want to go buy a gun just so I can take my family to a movie or the mall? Where is my right to send my children to school without the need of everyone carrying a gun, because Mr. Pratt wants to bear arms. Do we have to regress to the wild west? Is that the answer Mr. Pratt? That everyone should carry a gun? You make no sense and show how ignorant you are. I think Mr. Morgan is correct to be so enraged with the stupidity of your comments. Why must I have to go buy a weapon just so you can carry yours. The 2nd admendment is out dated and misapplied all for the big business of making money. When I read the parts that Gun Rights supporters give to support their case, it reads that the 2nd amendment was to defend oneself, family etc. I haven't found one part that says you can with deadly force.

Firearms can be used as a threat in defence, like the Police do without even firing a single shot.
Ammunitions are related but not a firearm.
If ammunitions are a Right...then what type are a right?
Ones with deadly force, or ones that are plastc composite, like the ones Riot Police use to defend and keep the peace?
Can they be regulated like Firearms are?

Piers has got an American wife and child here, so he has a real stake in America and what goes on in American schools. Anyway Prat is good at the elegant vocab but he just makes up his facts, look up "intentional homecide rates" and youll see what I am talking about. If you google them you get the, United Nations figures on world homicide, the homicide rates in America are a bit less than half the global average but they are several times most Western European countries rates like the rates in England, 'intentional homicide rates'. Violent crime is big in England but it seems these violent criminals dont kill many people.
Piers is a real adult as they should be, do you think he should sit by and whatch how the NRA gully the people by telling them false facts about which places have most murders of any type and even more so gun murders, so that people wont have a free choice because they wont be in posession of the facts. Piers will take on anyone anywhere however much people are going to say what right do you have to stick your nose in this pie. His bullishness really suprises me, he does not look that much of a fighter, though he is big he does not look totally strong and self confident but he is a fighter and, by the way, potential gunmen, you should get heard but as Piers does because you fought to get your message through and you cant think how desperately long that can take not the weeks it takes in films but decades, which is one of the reasons it is brave to get through to others, it shows such a lot of determination, just shooting your way out of problems lands you in more and though it means that people know your name, your story does not get heard and your problems, if you have them, have not a chance of gettign sorted out because no one gets to hear them. rose macaskie madrid

Public schools are nothing but mandatory prisons where children are brainwashed by the State to believe in the governmental utopian ideal of top down authority and the kids know this deep down inside but they have been sold out by their own parents because their parents are greedy selfish pigs who want to look successful to the world because of the reflection it will leave of them. The 4th reich has started right here in America the pitiful.

I guess it's true that it's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Piers, you have removed all doubt in my mind. You really should learn to shoot a gun and read what the Founders of this country wrote before you address this subject again. There was 3 cases last week in Cincinnati, Ohio of people defending themselves. 1 guy shot all 3 who attacked him. Look it up. New show out called 911 or something like that had one on about a little old lady who killed a guy who broke into her house. Articles in American Rifleman every month about people who defended themselves. Maybe you should climb out from under the rock you are living under and look around. Plenty of stories if you investigate instead of making stupid comments about something you know nothing about.

Mr Morgan PLEASE READ THIS! Thank you so much for being the voice of civility. I would gladly give up ANY right to possibly save the life of another. Yes we could arm teachers and school administrators, but some where at some point a student will find a teachers gun, play with it, and again innocence lost. I just don't believe more guns is the answer. Please keep the pressure on for congress and us to act on this issue with a researched and well thought out solution. We owe it to the people that have died in the past and the people that will possibly die in the future to do what ever we can to prevent another shooting. With warmest regards.

Congratulations on being willing to give up "ANY" right to "possibly" save lives. I appreciate your good intent, but you need to think through what you are saying. This kind of thinking is how people lose their freedom and eventually their lives. Don't be so quick to volunteer your enslavement even if it seems like the right thing in the heat of the moment when there has been a tragedy.

Piers is way out of line with his unprofessional comments made on air. He should promote a higher degree of respect to the folks who volunteer to be interviewed on live national television. Unfortunately, I used to look forward to some of his news reporting dialogs and disciplined discussions. But having observed his behavior over the past several months, it's obvious that his liberal diatribes as well as his inability to use respectful disciplines when talking about news-worthy topics have helped me with my decision. I will no longer turn to CNN when he is hosting one of their segments.

I enjoyed your argument with Prat more the second time round and after having looked up the facts, he just makes them up the murders of all types iin europe are less than in North america, in england the fact i read was 1,2 intentional homicides in 100.000 people, much less than in the USA and the number prat gave for murders in england was much higher than the one i read of from a UN study.
Couldn't you plug the fact that the NRA backs up people who are making money out of guns, which is a many billion dollar business. It is like global warming in that, global warming makes the poles melt, probably to our extreme detriment but it, at first at any rate, "seems" good for the petrol and mining companies and as, at the moment, they are hell bent on bringing on global warming, they fight all efforts to reduce it as hard as they can, so the people who are most guilty of evil are the ones who think to gain from it, to make money out of it for at least a short amount of time before we fry and they fry too. These business men are so short sighted it was lets make a mint out of debt backed securities, though allowing poeple to take out debt they cant afford will ruin them and end up being bad for us too and when its the petrol companies, its, "lets make money minning the north pole though we will all fry a few years later because of it and with the gun ones its lets sell guns no matter who gets blown up and it twentyyears if i remember right since the coreans actually saved themselves with their guns in some troubles in America, while it is about a week since we have had two shoot ups one in a school and the other in a shopping mall. the peoplewho sell the guns that make killing poeple childsplay, earn a mint out of these disasters. It is a suprise, considering their moral compass is so low, that they dont actually organise mass murders in order to sell more guns.
If the teachers have guns whats to stop them from shooting the students who really get on their wick, there are milions of teachers, they cant all be totally in control of themselves. Just think of teachers pederasty rate, teachers can go badly off the rails.
What about a bit of video of one of these assault rifles shooting all hell out of a pigs carcass or a tree trunk or a whole line of trees I know it would be traumatic but doesn't it help arguements if people are being really real about what is being talked about, I fhtey see the fire power of these things it seem everyone owns .
We have seen too many dead Syrian children to need to see any more dead children at the moment.
Pratt said that all people with guns have a safe. What a rich mans thing to say. The great majority of people arent very rich and if they like something a lot will spend a comparitivly large part of their income on it but they wont also buy the safe unless they are truly rich. People keep guns under their beds or in a cupboard or under their floor boards. Anyway, just think of hearing a burgalar and then opening your safe to reach you weapon, he would have cleaned out the house before you could hope to kill him for his audacity. rose macaskie madrid

You mention facts, Fluffy Bunny? As much as I love your name, you have to check your facts too. From ABC, Dec 19, 2012:

"In the last 16 years, the risk of dying by gunshot in Australia has fallen by more than 50 percent. The national rate of gun homicide is one-thirtieth that of the United States. And there hasn't been a single mass shooting since Port Arthur.

"It's not that we are a less violent people and that you are a more violent people," says Philip Alpers, an adjunct associate professor at the University of Sydney who runs, which tracks gun violence and gun laws across the world. "It's that you have more lethal means at your disposal."

But it wasn't just the new laws that made Australia safer. The gun buyback program collected nearly 650,000 assault weapons and 50,000 additional weapons – about one sixth of the national stock. Fewer guns on the street helped severely reduce the likelihood that guns could be used for a mass shooting.

Mr. Morgan, you are quite right. Gun violence in the USA is high. If you do a little bit of research, you will find that there are certain areas where it is extremely high and others where it is extremely low.

As it turns out the areas where it is extremely high, like Chicago, guns are banned and good people cannot defend themselves from the criminals who carry guns.

In contrast, we have entire towns where gun ownership is required by law. In these towns there is no gun violence at all.

Finally, I must ask the question: Are you a citizen of the USA? Because it would be quite meddlesome of you to use your fame to strip away the rights of law-biding citizens.

Thank you for this very important conversation about military style assault weapons and this country needs to stop the killing of innocents. I served in Vietnam 1968-69 and haven't fired a weapon for 30 years. It would be nice for you to expand your program for 2 hours during this period. Also read where users of AR 15 can use a bump technique to imitate an automatic weapon. Thanks again for talking about this critical issue.

Thank you Piers Morgan and CNN for continuing to bring this topic front and center. This is an important issue that needs to be discussed and resolved. I don't understand why supporters of guns think we need guns to defend ourselves. Will all gun owners or would be gun owners be trained to shoot perpetrators? If someone starts to shoot someone else, is there going to be a shoot out, and have all involved start shooting at each other? Maybe the children at Sandy Hook should have had guns to defend themselves? Someone please explain.

It's really about personal responsibility. People you talk about, CCW's – Conceal Carry Weapons licenced carriers, take huge responsibility on themselfs. If they're serious about carrying concealed – they prepare and train shooting. They need to prove their skills, law knowledge and sanity to the government in order to receive CCW licence.

      Hope that answers your concerns.

Piers Morgan needs to remember why we have the right to have arms. 236 years ago, our for fathers told England that we would not live under their cruel and unjust rule and through them out. As Americans have the right to protect ourselves from terror foreign or domestic Period…
It was horrible what happened to those children, however, guns are not responsible. Our society is responsible for what had happened. Mental illness is look as taboo, swept under the carpet and most of all not look at as a serious issue. We don’t treat the people properly because the insurance companies, Medicaid, and our doctors are not willing nor equipped to deal with them properly. Families with major mental illness hide their problems and turn their heads in shame. To do nothing is the crime. Our laws for patient’s privacy rights are a complete failure. WE have a right to know if there is a sycophantic or any other violent based mental illness person in the community as much as we do a pedophile or offender. If someone is violent or has a major mental illness at a young age it is the parents that are responsible and they should be held accountable if they do nothing.
Let’s face it America, we use to put mentally ill people in special hospitals throughout history. When did it stop and why do we let these people walk free on our streets. If they can be helped, help them. If they can’t be a non-violent productive part of society, they should be removed no matter what.
In addition, our court system is a complete failure. If you kill someone in the first degree, you should hang for it. It should not take 30 years and 20 million dollars to do it. A swift death penalty needs to be throughout the USA. The media needs to stop sensationalizing / grandstanding news like this for their profits. What happened in this school happens every day throughout the world.
I have never seen such a group of idiots reporting a horrible event like this. It looks to me the only ones to gain from such a tragedy is the media and special interest groups.
America, mental health and society’s blind eye did this not guns.

Piers Morgan: You are doing an outstanding job as a leader in the debate on how to end these mass murders with firearms. However, give the gun advocates a full chance to respond to your questions and give their opinions. The "kookiness" of their arguments will be self evident to the American people. PS: The term "assault rifle" comes from the WWII german designation for the MP44 – a weapon much like the .223 caliber (5.56mm) Bushmaster. The MP44 SturmGewher (or assault rifle) was a weapon designed to fire a cartridge in between the 9mm short range pistol cartidge (light weight) and the longer range 7.92mm rifle/machninegun cartridge (heavy weight.) Even the semi-autmatic only Bushmaster is the ideal modern MP44 StrumGewehr – a weapon with a design optimzed for infantry soldiers to use when "assaulting" enemy combatants in a building, trench line or fortified police. So when the gun folks call the Bushmaster a "hunting weapon" their kookiness will be self evident as will their dishonesty when they call it a "sporting weapon." On one of your shows take the American people to a firing range and let them witness the devasting firepowewr of the Bushmaster versus a classic bolt action or semi-auto hunting rifle or semi-auto shotgun (all of which normally hold 3 to 5 rounds of ammunition.) It should be easy for you to find a gun expert to do this. Take the gun expertise from the gun nuts – don't let them "own" it only for their purposes. Finally – hang in there – keep up this worthy fight.

Piers I am a fan of yours, but you have to not so often talk over people just to promote your own views.

    As for guns in America:
    1) People are going for the “strongest” weapon in an attempt to protect themselves from what the opposite party may fire at them. It is the result of worldwide behaviour, over centuries till today, that they who have the strongest weapons are feared by their opponents. “World powers” does it and citizens follow.

    2) To change a nation, i.e. USA, it will take a long time BUT you can move relatively fast, by outlawing, what you refer to as weapons of mass slaughter. You can confiscate and force people to hand in these weapons, but allow it to be carried by law enforcement, because now you utilised the principle/truth in 1) and the result will be that you have only reduced/cut back the “performance” of the type of weapons citizens may carry, but killing will still happen up to this new level where the attackers/killers will resort to the best of the weapons still available to them.

So your number of people dying should come down but it will still not solve the basic problem of people shooting at each other, although you at this point have already achieve a lot !

    3) Now you can keep following this new methodology and further diminish the remaining “too powerful” weapons and say you end up with “normal” hand guns/pistols which the people and government are both happy to have and allow, THEN you will STILL have to let your law enforcement carry superior weapons to outsmart/control those killers AND you will have to allow law enforcement to USE AND DEMONSTRATE the same principle as in no. 1), namely: We who have the superior weapons will control you killers with your weaker weapons AND we do not hesitate to kill you.

So you successfully practice what has withstood the test of time, AS GRIM AS IT IS, but you will be at a “balance point as far as guns are concerned” that the nation can “live with it” in terms of the frequency and number of casualties.

    Good luck & Blessings,
    Kind regards,
    New Zealand

I do not pretend to know the answer to this serious issue, whether stronger gun control, better mental health monitoring, armed security in schools and so forth. I'm sure a properly managed combination of ideas will help but nothing will completely prevent evil. I also want to point out a few things, like more kids are killed in car crashes are we going to ban cars next? If there is soooo much outcry for kids why is there no outcry for kids that have been killed by our drones? Or is that because there not ours? Kids are kids and should be safe as much as they can in a UNSAFE world. This world will always be unsafe and if you think otherwise your dreaming.

Thank you Piers, for pushing the complacent people/sheeple of the US on this issue. I appreciate the way you confront the lies of the gun nuts. They have mastered the art of repeating a lie over and over and over until the American public believes it is true. The people who acknowledge our nations problems with mental health and our problems with a culture of violence, then say that fixing these problems alone are the only steps we should take are entrenched and immersed in the NRAs mind control. Wake up, sheeple, and see the manipulation of the gun manufacturers.

Thank God for you Piers. Keep on pushiing. Remember that evil can win because evil doesn't follow the rules. Don't be polite with these goons.

And Chris G, cars have a purpose- transportation. Accidents happen in cars during their intended purpose. Semiautomatic weapons have one intended purpose- killing. There are no accidents when someone pulls the trigger.

Tessa, the same way like cars primary task is transportation, they can be used as a tool to mass murder. Come on, you know this. Guns main purpose is security – for you and your family. You can use them both for killing.

Lastly, home defense is well served with a shotgun. A criminal doesn't even need for you to pull the trigger. They hear that distinctive sound of the round entering the chamber, and they will be out the door.

    Mr. Morgan,
Up until tonight I thought you an intelligent human being. However, after your extremely childish conduct regarding your interview with Mr. Pratt, you have reduced yourself to just another emotionally charged, fact challenged, name calling individual. Frankly, it is always amazes when members of the press, such as yourself invite people to speak on your respective shows, and then do not allow them to make their points without rude interruptions, and in this particular case adolescent name calling. What happened to intelligent dialog, something the Brits are supposed to be most fond of? In this interview you conducted yourself with all grace of an angry thirteen-year old boy, and frankly reduced the perception of any semblance of an intellectual argument for your position. If you are so interested in comparing Great Britain to the United States, as if to claim that Britain is somehow superior to our nation, then sir, I invite you to return to Britain forthwith. Based upon your lack of intelligent argument regarding this issue, and your insistence on comparing our two nations, perhaps returning to Britain is the best thing for you and for our country.

Piers Morgan is a foreigner, he is NOT an American. If he doesn't like having all these guns in America, he has a very simple solution: Go back to England where you came from. Morgan has no legal or moral authority to pronounce us American as being stupid because we like our guns. I have a question for him: If you are so enamored with the idea of disarming us Americans, and you are so vile and vehement in your wild ranting and raving on your CNN TV show, why on earth would you want to remain in our country as a foreigner? We do want our guns, and we don't want any foreigners coming into our country and trying to turn us into the same type of country you have obviously already fled from.

I watched Mr. Morgans show last night and I was very upset at his lack of facts. Mr Morgan claimed that the bushmaster used in the killings had a rate of fire of 40 rounds a second. Wrong! It was a semi-automatic rifle meaning you have to pull the trigger each time a shot is fired so maybe one or two rounds a second. Like most reporters they don't check facts first so that they give an accurate report. Look at all of the miss reporting done on this shooting.
    1. It was reported his mother was the kindergarten teacher that was shot.
    2. It was reported that there were two shooter, possibly his brother.
    3. It was reported his brother was found dead in New Jersey.
Reporters don't check out facts anymore, they want to beat everyone else to the story.
And Mr Morgan if you want to know the rate of fire of a fully auto bushmaster that would be 13 rounds a second, and are not leagal to own for us comon folk. Also a fully auto reduces your accuracy. Mr Morgan if you want to call yourself a reporter then do the legwork and check the facts before you show us your ignorance.

We only have the problem in our cities, and unhappily, in our schools where people like you have been able to get laws put on the books that keep people from being able to defend themselves.

I honestly don't understand why you would rather have people be victims of a crime than be able to defend themselves. It's incomprehensible.

Are these morons forgetting that Fort Hood was occupied by plenty of gun experts, able to defend themselves and those around them, and the perpetrator was still able, in 10 minutes time, to injure 30 people and kill 13 (12 of whom were soldiers) with his recently purchased semi automatic pistol. When asked what he intended to do with this pistol at the gun store, he had no response. 146 casings were found inside the building. He still had 177 rounds of unfired ammunition in his pockets. More guns to defend ourselves????????The argument of these idiots is absurd and their translation of the the 2nd amendment has been sickly skewed to suit their own desires in their distorted minds.

Since 1950 all mass murders (except the recent Arizona killings) of three or more people have occured in areas deemed gun free zones. These evil persons don't choose victims that can retaliate. Let's have no more victims. Stop creating gun free zones.

You are an unbelievably stupid man, aren't you Piers Moron?

Perhaps there is a failing cable news network in Jolly 'Ole England where you could work and have no one watch you. His argument is simple:

You wish I was there at Sandy Hook Elementary. There would have only been one dead person. You demonize those of us for whom the Second Amendment is intended.

Why don't you break down the statistics by gun violence by state and compare it to the legality of open carry or concealed carry. Criminals attack at the weakest points. Schools, until they are fortified, will always be our weakest points, because criminals know that no one will be there to challenge them.

You really are a very stupid man. Aren't you.

There is no simple solution here. The problem with gun control is that it makes self-defense more difficult for the law-abiding citizen. The U.S. is loaded with guns. The bad guys won't give theirs up. How are we to stay safe? Make it more difficult for the good guys to get guns?

For Piers to act like he doesn't understand that is disingenuous and his unwillingness to debate his opponent is obnoxious. His tactic: if you can't win an argument, just start calling your opponent names. Those who think are on to you, Mr. Morgan–you have the intellectual capacity of a rodent.

I have been surprised to see little to no reference to the empirically demonstrated fact that in homes with guns intended for self-protection, the guns are dramatically more likely to kill family members, by accident or intentionally, than intruders. In one study published many years ago, the ratio was greater than 40 to 1. I present this not to argue pro or con gun control, but simply to introduce some factual information into this national conversation.

Reading the comments above, I would also like to suggest that, in their hysteria, the people who are attacking Mr. Morgan make the effort to listen to what he is saying. He is not challenging the Second Amendment. He is not arguing that responsible people should not be able to own guns for hunting or self-protection. Rather, he is simply arguing that, outside of the military or police, there is no rational argument in favor of semi-automatic weapons or clips that permit individuals to fire a hundred rounds or more per minute. As we have seen all too often, these are true weapons of mass destruction. If people want to fire them for fun, let them do so – in the confines of a range licensed for that purpose. The argument that a ban wouldn't work because there are so many such weapons already spread around our country ignores the effects of such policies over time. Yes, they would have little impact immediately. But over a decade or so, they could have a major impact.

I, for one, applaud Mr. Morgan for his courage in making the case and doing so forcefully, and I hope he continues to do so. Without efforts by highly visible personalities, the issue will wither on the vine, as it always has in the past, the victim of the power of the NRA. We will see more Auroras, more Sandy Hook elementary schools, and we will continue to grieve and accept this situation as normal. It isn't normal. Within the developed world, it is unique to the United States. We have so many aspects of culture and society about which we can be proud as Americans. Our slaughter of each other – with the highest firearm murder rate in the developed world – is not something to be proud about. I marvel at the fact that we spend billions of dollars fighting Islamic terrorists and then make it easy for deranged young men to spread terror throughout our land.

    Dear Mr. Morgan:
Your performance during your interview with Mr. Pratt was to say the least disappointing. The issues concerning the tragedy that took place in Newton, Connecticut cry out for a meaningful and mature national discussion of ways to minimize the possibility of future attacks and mass killings that include but are not limited to gun control. Your churlish and nasty demeanor detracted from the seriousness of the issue. Rather than advance the discussion, on a plane that would contribute to a meaningful solution, you projected your anger in such a negative manner as to retard the national discussion. The shame belongs to you, a supposed professional journalist, not a polemicist.

Pierce was a total idiot. He had an agenda and no amount of reasoning was going to change his mind. A teacher doesn't have to carry a gun around school they could have one of those small night stand safes in their drawer. there are several experts that would be happy to train them for free. Instead of hiding the children then begging for your life you can hide them and shoot 1st. You will never get rid of evil in this world but at least 15 kids could have been saved if trained teachers had guns there! I don't care how many gun laws are passed, even if you went door to door and confiscated everyone's guns are you stupid enough to think that would curtail crime? All it would mean is that criminals would be armed and we wouldn't be! Drug trafficers would add gun running to the businesses and double their profits. I know Pierce thinks this was a horrible crime in Conneticut but it sounds like he thinks the bigger crime would be for a Teacher to pull a gun and shoot the killer first? what is the problem with trained teachers fighting back and protecting our kids?

Although I get the camparison, I wonder if a large number of Americans really see themselves being compared to Europeans. I wonder if your message might resonate with a larger number of Americans if you were to look at the US vs. Canada. It is my understanding that Canadians have almost as many guns as Americans, share the North American "Frontier" mentality, and have far fewer gun related problems. Not being a "gun person", I know nothing about Canadian gun laws, but have always been impressed by what seems to be Canada's more balanced approach to society's problems.

A couple of items. You are calling on more restrictions on the ability to purchase firearms, yet you admit that this deranged murderer did not own the guns he used in this massacre. That is, in fact, the case in most mass shootings. Bad guys will get guns no matter what laws you pass against them. Also, why do you think that disarming victims is the solution to stop mass shootings? Tell me where my logic is flawed that the best way to stop a mass murderer with a gun (who is going to get a gun no matter what you do) is by having good guys with guns.

I say if the mother was not allowed to purchase the weapons of mass destruction (semi-auto with high capacity clips) Maybe some of the kids may have lived, at least the parents could have viewed thier bodies, as it was thebodies were shot so badly the parents only viewed thier children in the coffins. But because the mother was able to purchase these assault grade weapons, the shooter was able to get his hands on them. I believe you do have the right to bear arms. But please let me have the right to take my family out to a movie or to the mall without having to carry a gun or be subject to that sort of violence. Do I not have rights as well?

I don't know if someone mentioned this in one of the hundreds of comments, but I wanted to add this little nugget. The NRA has this strong belief that if we arm the "good guys" with weapons, incidents like this won't happen.

The shooting in the Clackamas Town Center in oregon had one of the "good guys" there. He had a concealed weapon (all legal), was trained as a security guard and even had it drawn. But, he didn't shoot, because he was worried about hitting someone else.

    Please read the full story:

So, even arming the "good" guys didn't help those poor people here in oregon.

My main concern with "arming the good guys" is, everyone is a good guy until they point the gun at something they shouldn't be pointing it at. So if there is a crowd of 100 happy NRA open carrying individuals and one of them is the "evil" person, how do we prevent that "evil" person from killing 1-5-30 people before the others can react? And, how many will be killed in the crossfire?

Hey Tracy, the reason he managed to kill 2 people is that noone shot the perp before. And that sucks. Signs of gun free zone didn't stop him.

Hey TroyLT, it's always "a little different" if a liberal or communist does something. Especially on CNN. And Morgan called his guest a idiot and a dangerous man. The man insulted that way in a recent video is merely a Nuclear Engineer ; while great achievements of Pierse's life are honestly less impressing – like his education ,involvement in News International phone hacking scandal, a judge on Britain's Got Talent on ITV1, ehh, just read his wikipedia.

I did not hear Mr. Morgon say that, I did have to step away for a bit. If he did it was inappropriate and uncalled for. It does not however change the fact that weapons of mass detruction should be regulated. Guns are the only thing that cause death and destruction, where we say to fix the problem we need more of them. Do we not try to do away with the things that cause death? Do we need more cancer to stop it? Do we need more HIV and AIDS to stop it? Do we not try to get rid of Polio not add more to prevent death? Yet guns kill just as many people as Disease if not more. Common sense must prevail.

Piers Morgan is the man without a rational argument here. Norway has strict gun laws, and that didn't slow down Anders Breivik one bit. Mexico has extremely strict gun laws – yet they seem capable only of imprisoning ex-marines with antique shotguns who are attempting to comply with all legal regulations – and in the same place, murderous drug gangs run rampant around the country. To see someone so vehemently shout down the voice of reason with his sick and flawed lack of rationality is truly disgusting.

Norway has strict gun laws? You mean strict like the US? US gun laws are not strict. I can get a weapon quite easily and you will discover the same is true in Norway. Just because there are laws governing gun ownership doesn't mean they are strict. All I need to do is fill out some paper work and wait. That's strict? Do some research before you post next time.

It is like with Polish communists – after 60 years of occupation of Poland by CCCP these people still tell today that there was np real communism in Poland. Their victims disagree quietly, because they were shot dead. It's never enough for a communist. Can't they just all leave us alone and go live in China?

Notice the way the word "evil" gets bandied around. People like Pratt have a simplistic view of the world as black and white, good and evil, when it's actually a very complex place with 7 billion people, a large percentage frustrated and powerless. Should we give them access to assault rifles to exercise that frustration and address that lack of power?

"Frustrated and powerless"...ha, that's good. How about jobless and manipulated by liberal mainstream media? Let's talk taxes. Leave our guns.

Mr. Morgan you are a great man and you are standing up for what is right and true and I am on your side completely. There are so many evil people in this world who can't even see that 20 innocent children gunned down at a school is so terrible and how much gun control is needed esp. of assault weapons!!

Mr. Morgan, keep fighting. Very difficult to understand how our congressional Leader (Sen. McConnell) already on Sunday indicated, right now we are focusing on the debt. In all parts of other businesses people have to handle several jobs at the same time! I truly hope that we as "the people" show enough empathy for all those people hwo lose their lives every day, not to speak of the children! Perhaps every evening Mr. Morgen, you can show how many people dies because of weapons... Show the numbers every day!!!! Thank you for keeping up the fight!

I support the right of Americans to buy as many guns as they want and of any category provided they are kept in a secure place and the owners are willing to submit to personal background checks. Piers Morgan went too far in his derogatory comments to Mr Pratt without understanding the need that so many of our citizens have to defend themselves. But, I can understand any foreigners perception of our nation if we have so many weapons in the States – 80 guns per 100 citizens is a lot. It must appear to them that US citizens are deeply insecure about personal safety and fast becoming like South America who have to put iron bars and steel doors on millions of their houses so they live in prison like communities.

The sad fact is that a US citizen can buy as many guns as possible, but if a criminal has the advantage of surprise it may be too late, if they attack first. So, the question is – are we really frightened of imminent death or just the way it may happen ? Statistically, Americans are more likely to die in a plane crash or through heart failure than through violent weapons, so let's calm down and reconsider the need to turn our homes into an armed fortress.

The NRA would like people to believe that the solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. We have recently seen a good guy with many guns turn bad in the Big Bear Lake resort near Los Angeles. Just today a South African sporting icon was arrested for killing his girlfriend with a gun. The facts are not in in either episode of gun violence but, absent the the guns, five people would still be alive in California and one beautiful young lady would still be alive in South Africa.

I went for a special gift and found this painting
    that lights in the dark.
Its somekind of doual-view painting. I can see it during the day, but when is dark inside the room, the painting
    is still visible.
Is this some kind of alien technology/ or is just some special wall art?

However, i decided to get it as a gift, but to buy some for myself too :
I believe that in matter of gifts, this would be the greatest.
    Do you feel the same?

    What's up?

I found this article very interesting...please read!

Do you remember the blockbuster hit film The Matrix that was released in 1999? You may not know this, but it has deep spiritual implications concerning the times we are living in and Bible prophecy.

It tells a story of how these "agents" are trying to turn us into machines. We are closer then ever before for this to become a reality when they cause us to receive an implantable microchip in our body during a time when physical money will be no more.

You may have seen on NBC news concerning the implantable RFID microchip that some people are getting put in their hand to make purchases, but did you know this microchip matches perfectly with prophecy in the Bible?

"He (the false prophet who deceives many by his miracles) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name...

You also may have heard of the legendary number "666" that people have been speculating for possibly thousands of years on what it actually means. This article shares something I haven't seen before, and I don't think there could be any better explanation for what it means to calculate 666. This is no hoax. Very fascinating stuff!

...Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666" (Revelation 13:16-18 NKJV).

To see all the details showing why the Bible foretold of all these things, check out this article!

GOD is sending out His end time warning:

"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name'" (Revelation 14:9-11).

In the Islamic religion they have man called the Mahdi who is known as their messiah of whom they are waiting to take the stage. There are many testimonies from people online who believe this man will be Barack Obama who is to be the biblical Antichrist based off dreams they have received. I myself have had strange dreams about him like no other person. So much so that I decided to share this information.

He came on stage claiming to be a Christian with no affiliation to the Muslim faith...

"In our lives, Michelle and I have been strengthened by our Christian faith. But there have been times where my faith has been questioned - by people who don't know me - or they've said that I adhere to a different religion, as if that were somehow a bad thing," – Barack Obama

...but was later revealed by his own family members that he indeed is a devout Muslim.

So what's in the name? The meaning of someones name can say a lot about a person. God throughout history has given names to people that have a specific meaning tied to their lives. How about the name Barack Obama? Let us take a look at what may be hiding beneath the surface...

"And He (Jesus) said to them (His disciples), 'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven'" (Luke 10:18).

In the Hebrew language we can uncover the meaning behind the name Barack Obama.

Barack, also transliterated as Baraq, in Hebrew is: lightning

    baraq – Biblical definition:

From Strongs H1299; lightning; by analogy a gleam; concretely a flashing sword: – bright, glitter (-ing, sword), lightning. (Strongs Hebrew word H1300 baraq baw-rawk')

Barak 'O'bamah, The use of bamah is used to refer to the "heights" of Heaven.

    bamah – Biblical definition:

From an unused root (meaning to be high); an elevation: – height, high place, wave. (Strongs Hebrew word H1116 bamah baw-maw')

The day following the election of Barack Obama (11/04/08), the winning pick 3 lotto numbers in Illinois (Obama's home state) for 11/5/08 were 666.

Obama was a U.S. senator for Illinois, and his zip code was 60606.

Seek Jesus while He may be found...repent, confess and forsake your sins and trust in the savior! Jesus says we must be born again by His Holy Spirit to enter the kingdom of God...God bless!
