Grover Norquist: "This is Obama's pound of flesh because he won the presidential election"

Just hours before the House of Representatives signed off on a bill that staves off the fiscal cliff, Grover Norquist joined "Piers Morgan Tonight" for a live interview with guest host Wolf Blitzer.

Described by Blitzer as an "anti-tax crusader," Norquist offered his interpretation of the proposed deal:

"This is Obama's pound of flesh because he won the presidential election," said the "Americans for Tax Reform" founder and president. "He's the one insisting that taxes go up."

While Blitzer suggested that Republicans supporting the deal would essentially be backing a tax increase, Norquist disagreed and clarified:

"They're not voting for a tax increase, they're voting to save tax cuts for as many people as they can over Obama's objections."

Watch the above clip, as Norquist analyzes Tuesday's actions by the House.

Piers, the truth is the truth, and when someone is being wrongheaded, deliberately being idiotic, it is important that it be pointed out" so stupid, or idiot, or moron, is perfectoly fine with the NRA types, who are mean, noncaring, and who don't understand the society of America these days. The gun amendment originally was meant for muskets, as someone pointed out, and also in case the British Empire wanted to reclaim its colony, OR, if the government became totalitarian and tyrannical. EITHER of the cases do not apply, since governments are far too sophisticated militarily and with various intelligence agencies that personal guns, (except home use) and even AK47 would make a difference in such an eventuality. A lie is a lie is a lie, no matter how bald faced it is. I think you are an interviewer and journalist who is really skilled, and know what you are doing. Your programs are interesting, and you cast a pretty big net. Restraint is needed for Americans, because more and more mass slaughter, or smaller groups of killings will happen. I think the 2nd amanedment needs to be amended to suit the times. As for deportation, I would strip citizenship from the brazen lying NRA spokespeople, and the politicans who continue with the farce, willing to sacrifice ever more innocent victims. It's like poverty: the rich republicans willing to sacrifice the right to "pursuit of happiness" and even survival, of the poor for the benefit of the rich. We are still dealing with the Calvinist doctrine here, of the "deserving." Few recognize that generational poverty does not offer, even remotely, horizons that would provide a way out of that marginal existence.
I want to see you, your programs, your comments, your insight, humour, and passion on CNN: otherwise it would be much blander.

I used to think Al-Jazeera couldn't do news...but now I watch it all the time...because they are brilliant at it. They are very neutral to all sides points of view & do the news very well especially news about the "Middle East". They also cover all the world stories of the day...even from the US & have the cream of reporters & journalists in the various world places...also their "Anchor Men/Women" are true professionals. So I for one "Wish them well" on the US cable channel's circuit.

"Press TV", on the other hand?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Al- Jazeera has the best group of reporters not gaged with corporation and special Interest groups control all there reporters. It's the only free media.
The CNN reporters all sound like Fox News reporters.
Nothing is believable coming out of any our media. Just google who is ruling the our media. All spinning lies out of control.
