Bill Bratton on suspected gunman Chris Dorner: "He is an incredibly dangerous individual"
As Los Angeles, California – and much of the nation – awaits the most-recent updates surrounding an ongoing manhunt for a former police and naval office, this evening Piers Morgan invited Bill Bratton to share his unique insight and perspective.
A former New York City Police Commisioner, and the former chief of police in Los Angeles – where he interacted with accused gunman Chris Dorner – Bratton offered some information as to the possible current location of the man suspected of killing three people, including one cop:
"He's apparently now up in the Bear Mountain area, which is a very popular area in California for skiing," explained Bratton. "It's very high mountains, very rugged mountains, so if he's up in that area, incredibly difficult terrain to try and explore, and search. At the same time, he may have left his truck there, which was just reported, and burned. But as to, is he still there, or has he moved on, that's unknown at this time."
Speaking directly to anyone who may come across the man he described as being "trained" and "well-armed," Bratton offered clear and cautious guidance:
"If you see this individual – and he is a very distinctive looking individual, huge, he's physically a huge individual – report it to the police. Give him no indication that you're aware of him. Don't try to interrupt or interfere with any of his activities. He is an incredibly dangerous individual. His police skills make him even more so. You've referenced the significant weapons that he has access to. And that's a pretty significant arsenal in the hands of a trained individual such as he is."

Nick, Arc is the trajectory in which a round (bullet) travels as it leaves the muzzle (barrel) of a gun. For instance, as most rifles (general term) are fired, the round will exit almost straight and then "arc" ever so slightly, until it begins to fall after traveling a great distance. Minute of Angle describes the act of sight alignment to ensure accuracy of precise placement of said round.
You would think that someone doing all these stories on "the evil of guns" would be able to piece together a challenge coin with 3 bullet holes and 1 M.O.A. but, no, that would require thinking instead of speaking.
"1 MOA" stands for "one minute of angle". This is a term that anyone with a familiarity of tactical marksmanship will recognize. It is most likely implying that the shooter has the skill to carry out his threats, particularly through long-range shooting. 1 MOA represents approximately 1 vertical inch when viewed from a distance of 100 yards. Imagine shooting a quarter coin three times in a row from a football field away. This is what the term means. I am an Army veteran retired from the infantry. Please research "gun terms" more, CNN is misquoting terms on a daily basis. It gets tiring. Let's keep the gun debate intelligent. Thanks!

But Pierce fails to mention the POLICE shooting up innocent citizens because they did'nt I.D. their target before they open fired!!! The police just open fired multiple times on unidentified people...Good thing everyone was'nt driving a blue look alike truck!!! Piers is going to be calling for a ban on bolt action rifles now, as we shouldn't be allowed to own rifles that can shoot sub MOA. By the time he's finished the only things we'll be left with are muskets, but wait, some modern muzzle loaders can shoot pretty close to an MOA of accuracy. Mon Dieu Piers!
The ex-cop is apparently a huge fan of Mr. Morgan. Why has Mr. Morgan not apologized to the American people for this person? As a progressive liberal gone bad, why are not all progressive liberals disavowing themselves from this person? I know that when the progressive liberal in Arizona went off on Congresswoman Giffords, that it fell to Sarah Palin, a conservative, to issue the apology. Why is Mr. Morgan shirking his obligation?

I tend to believe Mr. Dorner. He appears to be very DESCRIPTIVE & DETAILED with his information. I think the LAPD is involved in a BIG COVER-UP. They took away this man LIFE for a reason that is OBVIOUS when they (LAPD) shoot up cars wthout identifying the occupants! This is BS and I want answers! Does the LAPD have ORDERS to kill him on sight?????????
LAPD is covering something up I am sure. Police Officers are not ordered to shoot people on sight.
One might add that this murderer is already being lined up to be another hero in the Victims Hall of Fame.
I pray Dorner turns himself in. Clearly, the LAPD has done something that Dorner believes is deserving of retribution. While Dorner has taken a dangerous and wicked approach to deal with his frustration, the nation should also demand that the LAPD be held accountable for its actions. The shooting of two innocent women in the early dawn is indicative of the trigger happy incompetence that reigns in the LAPD. Since wrong is always addressed, in some strange way, Dorner may be the universe's way of paying the LAPD in kind for terrorizing so many innocent people in LA over many years. If not Dorner, justice will come in other ways. I pray for Dorner's safe capture and that he be brought to justice. I also pray that the LAPD be held accountable for the injustice it has perpetuated.
Dorner is now an "Incredibly Dangerous Individual." This is a use of power and position to paint him as a wicked person while not assigning the appropriate level of wickedness to the LAPD. Dorner is wrong. The LAPD is wrong too. Let's count the bodies of the innocent people that have been killed or tormented by men wearing the badge of the LAPD.

This is nothing more than a tactic to instill fear in people. Why do they want to instill fear in you, because they are your masters and they want to keep it that way. Go serve your masters, sheeple.
