Piers Morgan hosts CNN's Red Carpet special, interviews Quvenzhané Wallis and the Oscars accountants
On Sunday evening, as Creative Director of ELLE Magazine Joe Zee described the red carpet of the 85th Academy Awards as "the biggest fashion show in the world," Piers Morgan interviewed the star-studded arrivals live from Hollywood, Calif.
Among the glitz and glamour, Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee Quevenzhane Wallis chatted with the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host using her best British accent to impress Morgan.
"Hello, Governor," chimed the pint-sized actress, who was the youngest nominee in the history of her category at age 9.
"Hello, Governor. What kind of accent is that?" asked Morgan. To which Wallis giggled and replied, "Your accent."
Also on the red carpet, the accountants from Price Waterhouse Cooper, Brad Oltmanns and Rick Rosas arrived with the Oscar envelopes containing the names of the night's winners.
"These are the most prized, valued briefcases in the world right now," said Oltmanns who, along with Rosas, was charged with counting the Oscar ballots.
"Rick and I have known the winners of the Oscars for tonight since Friday afternoon," Oltmanns said. "We're the only two in the world who know. And we hand the envelopes to the presenters right before they go onstage."
When asked if "Argo" was a possible win for Best Picture, Rosas kept a poker face and said, "No word from me on that, other than to say this is going to be a great show tonight. It is one heck of a show."

My view of M. Obama appearing at the Academy Awards is – here we are with huge budget problems and she flies to California with secret service on what airplane and who accompanied her. She's not a movie star, even though she may think she is. Enough! But Piers, you are doing absolutely marvelous work concerning guns in America. I also enjoyed watching you interview the "stars" on the red carpet. Good job.
