Live Tonight: Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich on the new pope
On the heels of Wednesday's dramatic revelation that Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio is now Pope Francis, tonight "Piers Morgan Live" will invite a host of newsmakers and influencers, all charged with adding insight and context on the election of the Argentine.
Stationed at the Vatican in Rome for the live announcement, CNN's Chris Cuomo rejoins the network, presenting his perspective after watching the historic moment firsthand.
Meanwhile, a regular guest of Piers Morgan, and a man known to have very strong feelings on faith and religion, Rick Santorum returns as a guest this evening. Having routinely joined the program during his quest to earn the Republican presidential nomination, Santorum used the platform in the past to offer his thoughts on everything from General David Petraeus' extramarital affair to his infamous "snob" comment.
Additionally, a longtime rival of Santorum's from days debating during the GOP primaries, tonight Newt Gingrich visits "Piers Morgan Live," most certainly bringing along his trademark brand of candor and humor. During Gingrich's most-recent interview with Morgan, the former House Speaker left the host remembering how much he loves arguing with a man he calls one of his favorite guests.

What moved you to host Santorum on your show tonight? We have heard way too much from Santorum, and it should be clear that not even the majority of republicans wanted him as their presidential candidate. He charged forward and faded fast, once people gave him serious consideration.
Why did he get air time from you? Did you really expect him to say anything different than what he said tonight? Did you really expect any substantive answers to your legitimate questions? He selectively ducks any controversial subject. And, just think, the questions you asked of him followed after him saying, in essence, that Pope Francis was a great choice, and then, selectively, wouldn't answer certain questions from.
Please no more Santorum on your show.
Way to go Rick! I was extremely impressed with your answer to the question about condoms being condoned by the church as long as they were used for "disease prevention" instead of contraception. You totally hit it right on when you said the church existed to save souls (not just physical life). That's what people who are not fully informed about Christianity do not understand...you can't change it to fit what is socially acceptable. They are not, and never will be, compatible with a "ME, ME, ME" lifestyle that wishes to do anything that brings it immediate pleasure. God doesn't change with the times. You have to make a choice...live for God or live for man.

Of all the irrelevant self-imporant commentators CNN might have interviewed- Newt Gingrich? On the Pope? A new low for CNN.
I wonder what Francis I would say about Newt Gingrich's line of credit at Tiffany's, money spent that could have been directed to the poor.
Why does Piers keep talking about age with the new Pope? I'm 65 and in job search. Does he believe that there is a point where we have no value? Maybe the Brits have no political correctness or are just rude or ignorant. Why does he keep harping on age? He needs an orientation to our values or ought to go home to the nation that enslaved Ireland, Africa and Asia.
Which values would that be. Keeping blacks as slaves and pets?
Piers has one of the best comedy shows on television!
