Regarding the Catholic faith, how can you speak about the church's service in the most impoverished parts of the world, when their policy on birth control is directly responsible for a lot of the poverty ond suffering in those regions and countries?
my grandaughter joined Free The Children after university and had the most amazing experience she worked in production of shows throught Canada met amazing people like Martin Sheen went to live with the Masai trive in Kenya Africa and helped to build a school this year she will be getting married and she and her fiance are active young people in Habitat Humanity..Piers they are not alone there are so many wonderful young people like them and they seem to be the forgotten ones of course the negative makes news maybe it is about time the media creates more programs about the good that is happening and reaching out to all the amazing educated young people ...I alos have another grandaughter graduating in bio medical mechanical engeneering and it is amazing to meet all the young women in her class...but of course this does'nt make news how unfortunate...I wonder what would happen in the world if more emphasis was placed on the good rather than the bad news
Dean Martin was from Steubenville, Ohio. Think they have a Dean Martin fest or something.
The only thing the boys in Steubenville are upset about is they got caught. Many teenagers lie, cheat and have no regard for anyone. The actions of all the teenagers involved is appalling including those who were taped with their comments. It hurts those teenagers who have good character and morals. It will not surprise me if the alleged rapists go free. They will not be held accountable for their actions. It is a sad indictment of the "future" of America.
I HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO KNOW THESE CHILDREN THAT THE VICTIM WAS WITH ANOTHER BOY WHO WAS NOT HER BOYFRIEND AND HER BOYFRIEND WAS MAD. THE COMMENTS THAT I HEAR IS THAT ALLEGEDLY THE BOYFRIEND SET THE VICTIM UP FOR THIS ABUSE AND CONTACTED HIS FRIENDS TO HUMILIATE HER-EVERYONE KNEW THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER AT THE PARTY. BUT NO ONE WILL ADMIT THIS. EVEN PEOPLE WHO ARE TESTIFYING ABOUT VERY BANAL FACTS KNOW THIS. IS THE INVESTIGATION INTO THIS CRIME DELIBERATELY SUPERFICIAL?

Neither of you guests, Martin or Mia have mentioned the name Jesus. If you are a Catholic, you place your mind, heart and soul in Jesus and His cross. Why the fear of the truth? ... Jesus Christ is the rock upon which we Catholics build our lives. C'mon... get real. Mia is coming across as looney tunes and lost ... What is wrong with her? Interview over. There were kudos to You Day and your youthful guest, and the youth who have the opportunity to "serve others." No mention of the opportunity to serve God , His Son , Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Piers, I get it , CNN audience, ratings, but when will YOU bend a knee and serve Jesus?
WHY! Why cant a devoted Catholic have free will and not be squeezed for money to send to Italy ( their only econmy). Why must you seek approval or denial from some wobbling Cardinals, Or a grand POPE ( the money master and distributor ( my opinion).
