READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Whether you fell asleep early, stayed out too late, or simply want to watch it again, we realize it's not always possible to get your entire "Piers Morgan Live" fix from television. As an answer to this, we offer the below labor of love – "Piers Morgan Live, Rewind" – dedicated and designed to getting you caught up and connected to the conversation.
As the network television rumor mill continues to churn, on Wednesday evening "Piers Morgan Live" invited Howard Kurtz and Joe Hagan to share their expert perspective on the current struggles of NBC's "TODAY" show.
"Well, I think they have to get over this period of media attention," said Hagan, who recently penned an in-depth piece for "New York" magazine which detailed the current struggles of the longtime morning show leader. "They weren't able to get out ahead of their own story months ago. You know, this happened, and they hunkered down and they hoped it would go away."
Meanwhile, amidst talk of CNN's Anderson Cooper potentially replacing current "TODAY" anchor Matt Lauer, Kurtz revealed his insight:
"I believe that the "TODAY" show is committed to Lauer," said the "Reliable Sources" host. "A lot of people who don't understand how this business works, say, 'Well, you know, maybe they're bringing him next week.' Well, you're always talking to talent in this business about when somebody's contract is coming up, 'Would you, could you.' And look, Anderson Cooper has been a main stay for CNN but he's also on "60 Minutes." He had a syndicated daytime show which lasted two seasons. So ... he's somebody you might want to cultivate for the future."
On the backdrop of ongoing Supreme Court arguments relating to Proposition 8 and DOMA, Piers Morgan also invited a trio of fiery personalities to lend their opinions of the possibility of legally redefining marriage.
"If somebody calls you as a pollster and asks you a question about gay marriage, you do not want to be a bigot or offend somebody over the phone," explained Ben Ferguson, a conservative radio host. "But when people walk into a voting booth and they can vote their conscience, including California, they overwhelmingly have supported, in 43 states, marriage being defined between one man and one woman."
Despite Ferguson's statistical analysis, Marjorie Clifton was convinced that change is coming:
"What a lot of people are talking about is the inevitability of this. And I was actually on Capitol Hill yesterday walking in front of the Supreme Court," said the "Spike the Watercooler" founder. "I have to tell you, if you just look at the audience standing out there, there are so few people that are there fighting this. There's actually so many people who are in support of, you know, the idea of marriage being redefined."
Looking four years down the road, the host asked Abby Huntsman about the need for a theoretical change of perspective within the GOP:
"Could you imagine a Republican candidate who didn't support same-sex marriage in 2016?," wondered Morgan.
"I don't think they could actually win a general election, is my answer to that," said the host and producer at HuffPost Live.
On the heels of a headline-grabbing purchase by Yahoo!, which has made teenager Nick D'Aloisio the richest kid in his class (by far,) last night the 17-year-old Brit discussed his app. "Summly," and the reasons why the tech company deemed it to be worth a reported 30 million dollars:
"Fundamentally, I think it came down to the idea. It's like 'the big play' of the idea," explained the founder of the aggregation-based software. "Obviously a lot younger – as you said, the younger generation – they're consuming content on the mobile phone. This technology has the power to change the way people consume content. So I think they backed the idea. Yes, because I'm young, that helped it."
For the next edition of "Piers Morgan Live," watch CNN every night at 9.

This was one of the most rude, condescending "debates" I've ever seen. Piers should be ashamed, but then again if you do not agree with him he is just a rude person. He proves that rudeness over and over again.
PLEASE do not invite Dana back. Her logic and ranting is enough to make me turn the tube OFF. She is obnoxious.
Thank you for your fight to save Lives . Don't let anyone bully you. You are doing a good job.
