In advance of his new CNN program, on Thursday evening Anthony Bourdain joined Piers Morgan – and his live audience – for a primetime interview designed to detail the soon to debut show.
However, in addition to chatter about the show itself, the "Piers Morgan Live" host surprised the chef with an impromptu tasting menu designed to test even Bourdain's distinguished palette.
With those gathered in the studio looking on in horror, the multiple New York Times bestselling author proceeded to sample a list of fare that included:
~ Bull Penis
~ Turkey Testicles
~ Steamed Pig Feet
~ Fried Frog
~ Maggot Fried Rice
~ Goose Intestines in black bean sauce
~ Balut (Embryonic Egg)
Displaying the casual confidence that has come to define his career, the host of the upcoming "Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown" tried each item, seeming entirely unphased in the process.
