Monday April 15 should have been a happy day for Brittany Loring. Celebrating her 29th Birthday, the Ayer, Mass. woman was looking forward to her upcoming graduation from Boston College, while also planning a Fall wedding. However, her life forever changed that afternoon, as she was severely injured as a result of the two explosions at the Boston Marathon.
Currently stable, but still recovering from large wounds to her legs, this evening Loring's fiancée John McLoughlin joined "Piers Morgan Live" to explain the mixed emotions they've been dealing with since the bombings.
"These are our neighbors, they're part of our community, or at least they were a part of our community. They should be here to support us, they should be the people that you count on, your community," said McLoughlin, speaking about the accused bombers, brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who lived close by. "We're a little bit saddened, confused, that people would feel the need to do this, that they felt so out of touch with their own sense of power, so disillusioned and disenfranchised from their society that they would need to do something like this to feel some type of satisfaction or power in their lives."
Loring is due to earn her MBA and Law degree from B.C. in May, and is scheduled to marry McLoughlin in September. Thursday's guest indicated that both events will move forward as planned:
"Yes. Absolutely. None of those plans have changed. We're continuing on as if this never happened," he told Piers Morgan. "A little bit of a blip, but we're going to continue as if nothing happened. Life goes on."
In response to the bombings, McLoughlin and Loring have established a fund geared towards aiding the injured woman as she continues her recovery. Those interested can visit the "Recovery for Brittany" website, and share messages of support with Loring through her Twitter account, @brittanyrecover.

The true spirit Heather Abott displayed tonight in her Cnn interview is so inperational , and so curagious...... During her darkest hour and reflecting on the rest of her life shes so positive and determined to get the exact most out of life with goals. It speaks to future injured women and little girls that nothing will deter you happiness and goals when you set your mind to it. Its still early in her recovery and she has alot of rehap to get through, but she should be acknowledged as a true American warrior in the spirit of america our country and the senless confrontation with evil in this world, God Bless you and your family and all the victims of the tradgic ,senless act of cowardness.........We will all pray for you!

Piers-
Remember who's shoes you filled, LK. Get back to his style and stop being just another news anchor, we have a million of "those". Your to good of an interviewer......
Please do an interview with Steffi Jeraldo who was just on CNN live in Boston Square. She is attending Berklee there and has written a beautiful song for the bombing victms called "it takes time". There is a story behind this girl who lost her boyfriend due to illness and wrote a song to him. She is a very warm, compassionate person who sang a song for my dying friend. She's a wonderful person. We all think of the bombing victims each day and pray for them to have strength. It takes time to heal but know we are all here.
My God Piers, you bring out the best in people. I swear you could be a Pope. You are goodnees, love and truth all wrapped up with the cutest little British accent. You should be 24 hours a day. i just can't get enough of you. Who needs that Cooper guy, I need a piece of Piers.
Keep your knickers on,Jane!
Stop throwing them at the telly...
