Daryl Parks on the strategy of the Zimmerman defense team: "It is totally wrong what they are trying to do to his [Martin's] character"
On a day which saw the start of the third week in the George Zimmerman trial, on Monday night "Piers Morgan Live" asked Daryl Parks to share his reaction to the proceedings thus far, offering his specific perspective on a pair of key developments.
As the judge ruled that Trayvon Martin's toxicology report will be allowed as evidence in the trial, the co-counsel for the late teen's family questioned the tactics initiated by the defense:
"They are committed to making this 17-year-old young black child appear to be some thug and to throw him into some negative light," said Parks. "It is totally wrong what they are trying to do to his character and to the image of him in this case."
As the Zimmerman camp called countless witnesses to the stand, each identifying the defendants voice on an audio tape while also vouching for his character, Piers Morgan asked his guest if the State slipped up by not having a larger witness list themselves:
"The amount of character evidence that they got into the testimony earlier today was probably out of bounds in terms of the amount that was there, and probably opened the door to some of the character evidence that they introduced in a very sly way," said Parks, who joined the program live from Florida. "However, you must remember that they [the State] have the right to put on the rebuttal case too. I'm pretty sure they will consider the possibility of putting on other rebuttal witnesses in their case when they come to that point."

lawyer , I could not beleve your question to the lawyer about the public reaction to an adverse judgement to Travon Martin case , this is not about Trevon Martin or George Zimmerman , it is about what is the Justice system , regardless of the public opinion , the day that we start to be concern about the public reaction to a fair trail , regarding of the outcome , we have lost everything that this country stand for " Liberty Freedom and Justice for all . we can no be cowards when defending what is right . Sorry to all I'm about to offend but the real story in this case, a story that occurs all too frequently but is never reported, is the overwhelming national media attention this case is getting, and the incredible bias of black america. I would venture that there are numerous black on black or black on white Murder 2 cases with self-defense defenses that you and I will never hear about because those incidents didn't happen in our local areas. This Florida case is white on black so here I am, in Nevada, hearing about it every day. I just wish our country – predominantly our black americans and our media representatives could treat ALL cases fairly! I fear this frenzy won't end well because, truth be told, the jury, nor anyone else still alive will know whether it was Trayvon Martib or George Zimmerman screaming for help so I can't see how a fair trial can result in a Murder 2 guilty conviction. I have confidence that despite the frenzy this trial has been fair. But in the end – with the racial tension that still, amazingly, exists in this county from both blacks and whites – a fair trial just won't be good enough. In the end I'm sickened by the death of a young man, whether or not he attacked Zimmerman, and I'm sickened by our country's divisiveness.

I would like to know what happened to the cup of Ice Tea travon had/ was it set bottom down with tea still in it when travon approached Zimmerman or was it on the ground, spilled as if it had been knocked out of his hand. If it was setting on the ground with out being spilled. Then he wanted his hands free because he was going to take care of business with Zimmerman. this will go to the state of mind of travon pryor ot the altercation.
When is the news going to be truthful about the fact that the combo of skittles -watermelon iced tea – and cough syrup are mixed together for a cheap high?
I am SO sick of listening to Piers say that TM was only carrying skittles and iced tea. Does he know how dumb and uninformed he sounds?
Why hasn't the press even mentioned that these two ingredients are needed for a three ingredient high? True – there is no proof that he bought those two items to mix with cough syrup, but he wanted them bad enough to go out in the rain to get them.
Maybe if Piers would shut up for five minutes and let someone else talk, he would learn something.

Piers Morgan's reporting on this trial is biased. 1) He states that Mr. Zimmerman got out of the car to track Mr. Martin even though the 911 operator told him not to do that. This is not true. The 911 tapes states that Zimmerman was already walking while talking to 911. When the 911 operator heard him out of breath, the operator asked if he was following Martin then told him that they did not need him to do that. Piers changed the facts to support his own bias. 2) Once the two men crossed paths, who jumped who? Zimmerman states that Martin jumped him, strattled him on the ground, punched his face and beat his head against the ground. An I witness attests to Martin being on top of Zimmerman and Zimmerman's injuries reflect his statement and the witnesses statement. Yet, Piers Morgan ignores this pivotal part of the testimony which is the eyewitness. 3) Piers also comments that since a boy, who was unarmed, was shot a killed, Zimmerman should get some jail time. First of all, the "boy" was larger than Zimmerman, yet CNN only shows pictures of Martin when he was younger. That is deceptive reporting. Second, Martin was armed with a weapon: his fists. And third, just because a person was shot a killed does not automatically warrant jail time. 4) The question I have for Piers is how many blows do you think Zimmerman should have taken before he reached for his weapon? Two more? Ten more? If Zimmerman died from head injuries inflicted by Martin, would you still cover the story?
I lost my respect of CNN when they defiled the legacy of Larry King replacing him with this hack from the disgraceful British tabloids. Morgan is NO journalist, just a pompous a%& trying to push his one sided agenda. Although rarely watch CNN anymore, would like to see him & Nancy Grace do an interview together to see who interrupts the guest the most when they don't get a response that doesn't chorales with their misguided bias. Blitzer & Erin Burnett are the last bastions of CNN's legitimacy as a 'news' provider. As for Don Lemon.....never mind, not even worth it.
Agreed. I noticed a shift over the recent years from true news reporting to a bias at CNN, trying to persuade the viewers. It's a shame since for years it was my #1 news station. I now turn to Fox for most of my news. As it turns out, most of the nation has made a switch too, according to new polls.

QUESTION ?. Mr Z was told to let the police handle it ? What if the police shot Mr Martin and we all know Mr Martin was unarmed. I'm sure sure the trained professionals (police) would of had Mr Martin on the ground hands behind the back and when they found no gun just a bag a skittles they would of questioned him and the young man would of been on his way. Guess we should give Mr Z a pass because he was a untrained want-a-be with a gun.

The Martin/Zimmerman case is Totally about Race! Many years ago, a certain race was tried, judged and executed without the benefit of presenting facts, based on the color of their skin. The other race didn't listen to facts, didn't try to look at the facts from a different perspective, they voted, sided based strictly on color of skin.
