Rachel Jeantel on the verdict: "I had a feeling it was going to be not guilty"
less than two days since the six women that comprised the jury in the George Zimmerman trial returned a "not guilty" verdict, Monday evening saw "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed Rachel Jeantel into the studio for a fascinatingly candid conversation.
The young woman who had been talking to the late Trayvon Martin just minutes before his February 2012 death, Jeantel admitted that the case's conclusion didn't shock her:
"I had a feeling it was going to be 'not guilty,'" she said. "In my mind - well in reality - Trayvon before his death, he thought I was still on the phone. I could have called out for help or something but I wasn't on the phone."
Having reluctantly taken the stand to offer testimony on behalf of the prosecution, Jeantel unwillingly captured the national spotlight with her unique appearance and demeanor in court. Opening up and presenting an entirely different persona with Piers Morgan, on Monday she noted that Martin's specific choice in mobile device had lead her to believe that her friend was in trouble:
"If you click on the Android, it can end the call," she explained. "There was a struggle, so somebody had to be on top of Trayvon."

I don't understand why anyone finds an acquittal surprising. Maybe it's because the media have suppressed virtually all information about Trayvon's texts on buying a gun, his suspensions at school and fighting. So here's a excerpt reminders from the Miami Herald May 23 story – let's see if you have the nerve to discuss this at length: "In the months and days before his shooting death, Trayvon Martin was getting into fights, getting high on marijuana, getting suspended from school and talking with friends about getting a gun, according to cellphone text messages" "Some of the earliest text messages date back to early November 2011, in which Trayvon, a junior at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in North Miami-Dade, indicates he was suspended from school for being in a fistfight. " "One of Trayvon’s cellphone pictures shows two teens about to square off against one another as a third stands in the middle like a referee. Trayvon said he fought a rival who “snitched on me.”
Trayvon: “I lost da 1st round 🙂 but won da 2nd nd 3rd.”
Friend: “Ohhh So It Wass 3 Rounds? Damn well at least yu wonn lol but yuu needa stop fighting.”
Trayvon: “Nay im not done with fool….. he gone hav 2 see me again.”
Friend: “Nooo… Stop, yuu waint gonn bee satisified till yuh suspended again, huh?”"
"Trayvon’s troubles appeared to get worse and, on Feb. 13, he explained to a friend that he was serving “10 dayz” of suspension.
Five days later, he repeatedly appears to inquire about a gun with a friend: “U got heat??” "
"On Feb. 21, Trayvon appeared to be heading to Sanford to live with his father. But he hadn’t lost interest in guns.
“U wanna share a .380?” he asked one friend.""
And this is just what we know about...
Trayvon didn't have a gun that night, nancy and Zimmerman made his own texts and posts on MySpace that indicate him to be a hostile person with no respect for the law.
Good day Nancy, thanks for trying to show why a teenager should have died. Everything you mentioned about Trayvon has nothing to do with the fact that g=he is dead and the person who is responsible for his death didn't even get a small consequence for his death. Have you ever been a teenager??? Do you have teenagers???? They do things sometimes that parents may not agree wit, however that does not mean he should have been shot and killed. Point blank. Thank you for trying to show people that Trayvon was not innocent but it didn't work. Some of us are not saying Trayvon was innocent but jus trying to get a little justice for his death.

Nancy,your valid points hit the nail on the head, but, unfortunately supporters on this site will not change their minds about Trayvon nor accept the self defense Zimmerman had to use because he was in fear of his life. They will never volunteer for the job Zimmerman was doing to protect the people in his community. They will NEVER believe the raw, undeniable evidence that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman, which his injuries and the back of his clothes showed, as well as the eye witness relates. So many still think even if Zimmerman was suffering a terrible beating from a 17 year old bigger by far than him that he still should have to serve time for SELF DEFENSE!!?? It has been proven by the FBI that Zimmerman did NOT hate Trayvon, but it has NOT been proven that Trayvon didn't hate Zimmerman.
Volunteer for the job Zimmerman was doing? Are you aware Neighborhood Watch Handbooks in Florida specifically state:Watchmen are to Observe, Report and be available to witness. You and your counterpart Nancy need to get a grip on real life. Zimmerman did everything he wasn't supposed to, he got out of the vehichle, he followed and he shot. That alone shows ill will. Those women jurors will not know the injustice they've established until it hits home to their sons or brothers. Fact is, Trayvon had skittles and tea, neither had Zimmeraman's DNA on them nor did Trayvon's hands. The fact is there was only two people there, and it's not far fetched to conceive Zimmerman lied to save his own skin. You all do not personally know him and neither do the neighbor. Heck people marry people everyday and never know who the true person is, those character witnesses are nothing as they only saw Zimmerman in passing. He was a wannabe cop and borderline racist extremist turned vigilante that night. Zimmerman's last knowledge of the 3 men that home invaded his neighbor was that whomever was caught had been released fact is he profiled from that point and decided not to let the person get away. He had some dillusion of grandor in his dream of being a cop and showed signs of wanting recognition even in giving his account of things to the police. Shell and Nancy since you all know everything, explain why Zimmerman stutuers when asked why didn't you identify yourself as Neighborhood watch. Could it be because he was his actions on that night were of ill will? Do you not for once think that Trayvon was on his way home and was stopped by Zimmerman who pulled a gun on him? The Piers panel of judges speculates that this is what happened and that Zimmerman is lying about pulling the gun out when on the ground in a struggle. Anyone with common sense can see that Zimmerman pull the gun out and it's possible that Trayvon decided to run and that it's possible Zimmerman attmepted to grab him, him Rachel hearing Trayvon saying get off, a struggle insued which ended Trayvon's callled and a minute later Trayvon was dead because of Zimmerman's shot. A shot that didn't have to happen, if he would have done his job as neighborhood watchmen and stayed in his vehicle to wait for police.

Him and his family lied to the court about not having money for his bail, when in fact they had thousands in a pay pal account. When is gordita visited him in jail before bail was posted, they spoke in code about the money, so as to not alert the court about the money. His gordita is awaiting charges on perjury. I don't expect any other race to understand how it is to be a black man in this here "Good ole U.S.A". I don't know what it is like to be white, chinese, mexican, etc, but I do know how to embrace people and their culture. No one will ever know what happen on that horrible night. What saddens me is that Trayvon was not well represented. I didn't know Trayvon, or George Zimmerman, but what I do know that a human life was taken. Whatever evidence that was presented to the courts, we will not ever know the whole truth! Also, we as Americans need to get off our asses and get to know the laws of your state, city, town, etc. That is where the problem is. Some of these laws are so outdated. Exercise your right to vote!!! If you do not wote in any election sit your butts down and shut up!! Theis country needs a change and fast!!!

But let me put a twist on your post, replacing your STUPID son as Zimmerman, your son’s STUPID friend as Zimmerman’s gun, and Travon as the guy in the car. Had someone told Travon that if Zimmerman shoots him, he wouldn't be at fault because even though Zimmerman was the initial aggressor and Travon was in fear of his life he didn't know what Zimmerman and his friend was going to do to him. Travon was shot because of the altercation with Zimmerman, and it is very sad, but Travon’s family fought to have Zimmerman put in prison because Travon was defending himself against Zimmerman who acted reckless and careless. So in keeping with your scenario, just changing the names, it should have been Zimmerman’s funeral and Travon’s trial/acquittal, not the other way around. And I would like to take the opportunity to tell you what you told your STUPID son was correct. And to briefly address your other STUPID comments you made about blacks and Africa, you obviously didn’t think that part all the way out, and I won’t even go into detail with this one. But just one question. How can you send someone "back" to a place they have never been, STUPID? I’ve lived amongst six generations here in the US, and not one of us has ever been to Africa! If you actually look at the trial and look at discussions about the trial, you will see that there is the thought that the verdict was due to the fact that the prosecution did NOT talk about race.
