Tonight: Dan Rather's candor and rhetoric, Ken Hanson on buying George Zimmerman a gun
This evening at 9, "Piers Morgan Live" welcomes the return of legendary journalist Dan Rather for a live, primetime interview.
A frequent visitor to the New York studio, the seven-time Peabody Award winner is a broadcasting icon and a master of rhetoric, in the past uttering such phrases as "making his fingernails sweat" and "the smell of victory in his nostrils" as part of his description of what was then a hotly contested race for the Republican nomination.
With Piers Morgan is back in his regular chair after a week of guest host's aptly filling in, tonight the host welcomes Ken Hanson for what figures to be a red-hot edition of "The Grill." The Buckeye Firearms Foundation's Legal Chair, Hanson has been instrumental in attempting to raise funds that will enable George Zimmerman to purchase a gun. Three days since distributing the money to the recently acquitted neighborhood watchman, tonight Hanson joins Morgan from Columbus, Ohio with details of the arrangement.
And, in what promises to be a feisty and provocative edition of "Law and Disorder," Gloria Allred and Alan Dershowitz each join the program with the brand of legal candor that has become a staple of "Piers Morgan Live."
Tune in this evening at 9 as Rather brings his rhetoric and Hanson helps ignite "The Grill" while Allred and Dershowitz match legal wits.

I hope that Mr. Morgan forwards this question to Dan Rather...this from a Cuban American, Mr Rather: You pride yourself in asking the tough questions of President Nixon...I also remember you asking President Bush, the father, how could he sign have signed us on to such a policy, ( I can't remember the policy in question right now) but I remember President Bush saying to you that even though he had respect for you he did not respect what you where doing with that interview... But when you interviewed Fidel Castro, you did not have the same cojones to ask that communist tyrant Castro any tough questions about his firing squads, his massive incarceration of Cubans who disagreed with his stealing all the private property in Cuba, Castro's prodding of Nikita Khrushchev to launch a nuclear preemptive strike against the USA during the 1962 Missile Crisis, and other crimes he has committed against the Cuban people, in front of that tyrant, Mr. Rather your integrity vanished...why sir ? How could you not put that murderer in the hot seat?

Piers, your last guest totally out-spoke, out-knowledged you on the subject. He didn't even allow you to be your usual, bullying self which you typically resort to when you are clearly not the expert on the subject. Kudos to Ken Hanson for being such a pro.
Agree! Hanson made PM look like an idiot. Someday Piers is going to be decked by an in-studio guest not unlike when the punk Jim Rome got his ass kicked by Jim Everett.
That was among the worst interviews that I have ever seen. I was under the mistaken impression that Piers was a professional.
Hanson just made you look stupid.
Piers Morgan, what is it about self defense you do not understand? Zimmerman was having his face pummeled and his head bashed into the ground. Is it your belief that he should have allowed Martin to kill him? Is it your belief that people should let the criminals have free reign. Martin could have just continued on home but chose to circle back and attack Zimmerman.
If Martin would've cracked Zimmermans head open according to Piers his defense would be "I was unarmed, all I had was a bag of skittles>"
Concrete is not a weapon. Tell that to the trucker that was attacked during the Rodney King riots with a brick. Did the guy throwing the brick have skittles? Looks like a weapon to me, I've seen 1st hand the injuries that a sidewalk to the head can cause. For a news man, your not very well informed.
The name of the truck driver who was dragged from his Semi-Truck Cab and had his head smashed with a brick thrown by ________? was Reginald Denny ,,<- and that info is off the top of my head ,,no research needed. I had joined the NRA just 2 weeks before the Brady Act Passed with Bill Clintons signature .

Ken Hanson was great tonight! Too bad Piers has no clue about our American 2nd Amendment. Piers, we in America have the right to bear arms and to protect our lives and our property! If you can't understand that – then leave! Hats off to the Buckeye Firearms Assoc. for their bold and proper move!
