As part of a special edition of "Piers Morgan Live" entitled "Gone to Pot: America's Marijuana Obsession," tonight Piers Morgan welcomes Cheryl Shuman, January Thomas, Amie Machado and Glenda Gurrlen, collectively called the "Pot Moms," to talk about their experience with cannabis and why they choose the drug over many others.
“Marijuana is the slang name and cannabis is actually the true scientific name... It deserves some respect,” declares Shumam, known as the "Martha Stewart of Marijuana." “The bottom line is cannabis is here to stay, the toothpaste is out of the tube,” says Shuman, the creator of the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club.
Shuman and Machado both turned to marijuana for health concerns, but their introduction to the drug inspired them to build successful businesses within the industry. "I make cookies, I make cakes - anything and everything you can do," explains Machado, owner of Auntie's Edibles.
In response to critics who say that marijuana is the first step off a slippery slope, Machado says “you need to educate your children." Machado, who has three children, now includes her own son in her business.

I love you girls !!
Why do I hear never-ending anecdotal benefits of using cannabis, but NO ONE mentions that cannabis is the CURRENCY for other drug and arms transactions? If cannabis is legal, money laundering for organized crime will then be legal!!
There may be a lot of moms criticizing these women, but there are a lot of women cheering them and grateful for their courage to honest about their pot use and the benefits of using it. You go girls!
a positive that i don't hear mentioned is that if cannibis were legalized it would no doubt cut down on prescription use which in turn would cut down on the prescription drug residue found in our water systems
Since the american government has been growing cannabis for years at the same time it has been fighting its use. OH and by the way this was and is being done with your tax dollars. Now I think the government should open up its research that has been done thus far, by doing this it could answer a lot of medical questions that are now being talked about on your shows.
David Evans is a complete joke! He says marijuana is physically addictive!!! He has No clue.
