"Piers Morgan Live, Rewind": Lawyers debate the ongoing AEG-Jackson trial, sister of Kenyan mall shooting witness shares details

Whether you fell asleep early, stayed out too late, or simply want to watch it again, we realize it's not always possible to get your entire "Piers Morgan Live" fix from television. As an answer to this, we offer the below labor of love – "Piers Morgan Live, Rewind" – dedicated and designed to getting you caught up and connected to the conversation.

  • Analyzing the Jackson-AEG Trial

As the case brought by Michael Jackson's family against AEG Live moves into closing arguments, on Monday evening "Piers Morgan Live" asked attorney's from both sides to share analysis and perspective.

Thomas Mesereau, Jackson's former lawyer, was firm in his belief that the jury will rule in favor of the late pop star's family, largely because the concert promoter assumed the risk when employing a negligent doctor:

"The problem here is Conrad Murray wanted to make a lot of money, wanted to have a lot of fame, wanted to embark on the biggest comeback in entertainment history," said Meserau, referring to the physician currently serving time after having been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. "He ordered, as I understand it, four gallons of propofol, was giving it to Michael Jackson without the proper equipment, to monitor his heart rate, his heart, his circulation, he was absolutely derelict, he was negligent."

While Valerie Wass agrees that Murray may have erred, she does not feel that Murray is to blame for the 2009 passing of the singer:

"I believe that he may have done some things that were viewed as negligent, but I do not believe that he is responsible for Michael's death," said Murray's attorney. "Perhaps my client should have walked away when he encountered the situation that he was unaware of, when he left his practice and became Jackson's physician. But in that case, Jackson would have gotten the drugs from someone else and my client tried to help him."

  • Kenyan Mall Shooting: Woman's brother was inside

On the heels of a violent shooting at a Kenyan mall, on Monday Piers Morgan invited Judy Wangari to share her unique perspective.

Wangari's brother, Moses, works at the shopping center, and though he survived the deadly attack, he remains shaken up:

"One of the things he said is he was pretty terrified because he has never seen anybody shoot anyone apart from TV, in a movie," she told the "Piers Morgan Live" host. "One of the few things he said, it was really, really frightening for him just to see somebody just shot another person, and a person actually dies."
