Gloria Allred on motorcycle victim involved in SUV swarm: "He did nothing wrong...all he had done was get off his bike, go over and try to calm everybody down"

Roughly a week since a wild, multi-vehicle incident along Manhattan's West Side Highway served to enrage and horrify those that have watched the various videos, on Monday evening "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed the wife of one of the men involved, as well as his attorney, Gloria Allred.

Edwin Mieses is one of several motorcyclists who was hit by Alexian Lien's Range Rover, and though he's been released from the ICU, he remains paralyzed.

"Piers, Edwin is clearly a victim," explained Allred, who joined Piers Morgan in his New York studio. "He [Lien] hit Edwin who is now crushed under the SUV. He did that without any warning to Edwin. Edwin, by the way, was doing nothing wrong. We've spoken to many, many people who were there. He did nothing wrong. All he had done was get off his bike, go over and try to calm everybody down."

Admitting that she was not there when the incident occurred, Dayana Mejia acknowledged that the situation was likely scary for all parties involved:

"I can't blame anyone. I can understand why he [Lien] was scared, but at the end of the day my husband parked his vehicle on a kick-stand, to get off, to try to help the situation, tell everyone to move on, 'let's just go, let's get with it, let's ignore it."

Watch the clip for more of Morgan's interview with Mejia and her family's attorney, and for the next edition of "Piers Morgan Live," watch CNN every night at 9.

Gloria Allred's argument makes no sense. Her client shouldn't have been on the road – he didn't have a license – that is a crime. Had he followed the law, he wouldn't have been on the road that day and he wouldn't have been hit. It doesn't matter if he wasn't on the motorcycle when he was struck. I highly doubt he got off his motorcycle to help the driver. Piers is correct. You really have to put yourself in the driver's shoes. I would be scared to death and I would have done anything to protect my family. I doubt honking the horn would have helped. Let's put Gloria in this kind of situation and see if she would calmly sit there, honk her horn, and patiently allow the motorcyclists to move out of the way.

    • Marti Please watch the full video...I agree they got out of control, but it wasn't for no reason. This guy did hit them first several times without stopping. The first bump, they were checking and getting back onto their bikes, then he just ran that guy over...There was no threat.

You are insane. At the 14 second mark, you can see the biker next to SUV driver's door looking into the window and possibly yelling at the SUV driver. At the 24 second mark he pulls ahead of the SUV and then moves directly in front of the SUV. At the 25 second mark, the biker clearly locks his brakes and prepares for impact with the SUV. This was completely intentional by the biker to get the SUV driver to stop.

Maybe the driver did something. Maybe he did nothing, but based on that alone it is clear the this was premeditated by the biker to get the SUV driver to stop.

Given the video, the bikers were constantly driving recklessly, cutting off other drivers, making illegal lane changes, riding on the shoulder and the gore area, and setting up illegal road blocks on the entrance ramp of the highway. If another driver made "a mistake", it was probably due to what the bikers were doing and not the other way around. If you drive like a maniac, cut other people off, or setup an illegal road block and someone else does something you do not like while you are breaking every law of the road, you forego your right to be mad at the other driver.

Also, if you and your biker buddies start mobbing a driver who has wife and two year child in the car with him by forcing him to hit you, surrounding the car, slashing his tires and beating on his car with helmets, you forego you right to be mad at the other driver when he runs over you or your friends as he tries to get away from the angry mob.

After a little research on this, it appears this biker gang does this a lot. They target white and Asian males with nicer vehicles. They force a situation like this one where they get the other driver to hit one of the bikers. They then surround the driver, beat on his car, slash the tires so he cannot get away and then demand money or else they beat them up. Almost none of the bikers are riding street legal bikes. They all have taken off their tags, so they cannot be identified. They block the on ramps to isolate individual cars, so there are less witnesses. As someone said above, the only shame is that there is only one person in a coma and not more if not all of the bikers.

Are you blind? The biker slowed down on purpose right in front and was looking over his shoulder as he did it. He could have moved out of the way. Take a look at some of these bikers rap sheets. Not exactly clean cut and innocent. While I usually support Glorida, in this case she should keep her mouth shut.

First. your link is bad (and yes, I changed the URL to Youtube properly).
Second, I did peruse several videos that claimed to show more. All those videos did was confirm that the bikers are a hoard of thugs. I saw them attacking other cars, as they drove through traffic lights, swerved into oncoming traffic, did stunts, obstructed other drivers and drove on the sidewalks.
Your trying to excuse them is like trying to excuse Jeffrey Dahmer for just being hungry.

I agree with Emma completely! Also, if I recall, the bikers were trying to close down the freeway so the can do tricks. They do this every year without getting approval by the city. The police department got over 200 calls that day that reported the bikers were driving on sidewalks and running red lights-pretty much disregarding the law. Jay M., an aspiring rapper had never had a drivers licencse. This is what I learned from his records: Mieses also has 15 guilty findings for criminal offenses including distribution of cocaine, possession of a firearm without a permit, knowingly receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and several motor vehicle violations, court records show – See more at:
Yeah, he may be over there helping his buddy....helping his buddy block the SUV and intimidate the family! I still cannot believe this actually ended in the father in the SUV being beated with helmet, kicked, and slashed with a knifives resulting in a bloody scene in front of this wife and two year-old daughter. If it wasn't for the Good Samaritan they would have beaten the wife and child. They all should be trial for attempted murder! I never hoped ill will on anyone but I hope all (including the mindless lawyers that are defending these dirt bags) to suffer! I hope they get trapped in a car feeling defenseless while their loved ones are being beaten to a bloody pulp.

I agree. I would have loved to see Ms. Allred in her shiny Mercedes Benz forced to stop at realm of these guys. They weren't respecting any basic traffic laws and she thinks the beeping of her horn would've diffused the situation – yeah....okay Ms. Allred. We all have the 'fight or flight' instinct when felt threaten and we have the right to protect ourselves, and that's what the SUV driver done.

Ambulance chaser Allred's insult to our intelligence. Given Miese's criminal history, no license, I say he was getting off bike to KICK LIEN's ass too, but Lien was smart enough to take off, bc his car was getting slashed and he was surrounded by 30 hostile bikers.

Lien DIDNOT run into the bikes, they RAN INTO his family car.

Over 200 calls of 911 that wknd randomly everywhere in the city. I guess all the citizens are lying?

Spin meister Gloria insulting ppl's intelligence and lying.

The only victims I see, it is as simple as the video look, is the ones running away, then get pummeled half to death when his slashed tires gave out and cornered:

i lived in Washington Heights where these group of motorcyclists originated from. For the 15 years that I lived there, they terrorized the neighborhood, and they continue to do so until today. The people in that neighborhood are frightened of them. When they arrive, all the cars go on the side and stop, and wait 15 minutes for them to pass by. These men are violent, some of them are involved in gangs, most of them have criminal histories and are involved in drug-related activities. Many times they passed by my building in the wee hours of the morning and wake up the whole neighborhood. Several times I've reported them to the police from the nearby precinct, but they say that it is difficult to catch them b/c they are always on the move. Rumor is that some corrupt police officers are in cahoots w/ these gangs for drug sales and that's why nothing is being done. I have since moved out of the neighborhood and it was the best thing i've ever done.

The whole situation is sad and people were hurt. It's interesting that the SUV was following SO close to the motorcycles ahead of him, (not just the one he hit). Even if the bike in front of him slowed suddenly, drivers are still supposed to leave enough distance so they can stop – even emergency stop. Once the SUV was stopped, he decided he was "in fear for his life" and, with no thought about anyone else being "in fear for their life" he drove OVER someone. Maybe the motorcyclists in this incident are known as trouble makers in NY. However, this incident and the conversation around it is inciting automobile drivers to think they can run over a motorcyclist and then claim, "they are in fear for their life." I think the SUV driver should be arrested and let him have his day in court to make his case for what HE did. There is something wrong when people are supporting a vehicle running over a motorcyclist.

When I heard Gloria say "he's spine was snapped in two" as in "don't you get it" – it was reminiscent of "an innocent 17 year old boy carrying a bag of SKITTLES home". Remember Casey Anthony's lawyer and how she walked? Perhaps the greatest scourge of today is defence lawyering – where reasoning and logic doesn't equate well. She's too old – has forgotten what it's like to have a toddler in your car. I would have rammed into all of those bikers if I was carrying that kind of cargo. Parents usually would die with pleasure to save their toddlers. Perhaps the man in the SUV made a traffic mistake – from whence this kind of hatred and mob mentality?

Because that's the video I saw, and probably why I feel differently than everybody else. He hit first and 3 times total. I'm confused, I thought the news just cut that out.

He didn't hit the first guy. The first guy slowed down in front of the SUV purposely so that they could stop the SUV in order to take over the road in front of him to do their "stunts". The SUV tapped the wheel of the guy purposely slowing down and when the SUV stopped all the other idiots started to slash the SUV tires and try to get into the car. That is when he tore ass out of there . F&ck them all. I would have done the same thing.

Lien and his family were being attacked by these bikers who greatly outnumbered him and were armed with knives. They put their bikes in his way so he could not escape without riding through them. He was with his wife and two year child. It is tragic what happened to Jay Mieses but he has no case. Lien had every right to protect his family. Even if Jay is telling the truth which I sincerely doubt, he was in the path of safety for the Lien family.

The $UV driver and his family were not in any danger from a rag-tag group of motorcyclists. After hitting Christopher Cruz ir was just an accident until his unreasonable fear of dark skinned persons on Motorcycles caused him to use deadly force on someone with his back to him that was walking away. Maybe some in the group were intent on damaging his vehicle for his aggressive driving but that's it. Do you really think that a single motorcycle rider is going to get in front of a 5,000 lb vehicle and hit the brakes to "benefit" 50 other riders most of which he doesn't even know. He might as well have just dropped the bike in front of the $UV if he wanted to be a martyr for Hollywood Stuntz. He made a foolish move by cutting in front of the SUV too closely and assuming that the $UV would back off to maintain 2-3 distance separation which at 30 mph is 88-132 feet, not 10 feet. Even with Christopher Cruz cutting it the $UV is still way too close to the other motorcycle.

You are either blind or on crack. The whole bunch intentionally tried to slow or stop the SUV BEFORE Cruz got bumped. That's WHY he got bumped. He caused the SUV to hit him. You can clearly see the whole group traveling at high speed, surrounding and getting in front of the SUV, and slowing down. Then Cruz pulled right next to the left front wheel of the SUV, so close he could have touched it. Then he intentionally moved to less than 10 feet directly in front of the SUV and slowed rapidly. Cruz got hit because he was a reckless jerk whose antics got him predictably hit.

But let's say that it was an accident and Lien was entirely responsible. That doesn't mean a gang can descend on him, slash his tires and break his windows. He still would have had every right to flee and run over anyone and anything in the way.

Oh - and did you notice that Cruz (a petty criminal) had no license plate on his bike? Do you wonder why?

Watch the full video... The biker's were out of line, but so was the driver and the driver started it. There is no law that says someone slowing down in front of you, gives you the right to bump him out of the way...If there are laws like this, road rage would have a whole new meaning. Now, after the bump, the biker's got off to check on their friend...ONce they saw he was okay, they were going back to their bikes (that's why Gloria Alright took the case)...Because there was no threat until he ran over that guy and ran away. Now, the biker's actions after that was clearly wrong and out of line, but that should not wipe out the fact that the SUV driver made some mistakes himself in provoking this whole thing.

Yes, there is. It's called physics. If a dolt on a 300 pound bike pulls a few feet in front of a 3000 car and decelerates, that whole "body in motion" dictates that the dolt will get hurt.

And maybe you missed the part where the guy WAS stopped, and his wife DID call 911. And maybe you left out the part where your gang of buddies attacked the car. There actually IS a law that says you can do whatever you need to do to avoid violence and death.

Marti, you're assuming WAY too much on one hand and ignoring way too much on the other. Cruz cut Lien off. THAT is what is illegal. You can choose to believe that Lien WANTED to bump Cruz (even though there's zero evidence to support that assumption), but its irrelevant, because Cruz took that decision out of his hands. Cruz's reckless move, plus the fact that he slowed down without his brakes (meaning no brake light to signal to Lien that he was slowing), is what forced the contact. This is why Lien won't be charged – because the initial bump was not his fault. It was Cruz's. Anybody who understands responsible, considerate, and legal driving will agree.

Also, I'm not sure which video you've been watching, but nobody was going back to their bikes. Cruz approached Lien's door and tried to open it. When he couldn't he began punching at the window. He's still right next to the RR when it takes off. You can also see a commotion occuring on the passenger side, though what it is, exactly, isn't clear. But I don't think its a coincidence that the passenger side front tire is the one that is completely missing from the wheel at the point that Lien is dragged out of his vehicle and beaten in front of his family.

You're right, there is no law that says you can bump someone out of the way when they slow down in front of you. But there IS a law against brake checking someone. have a look at NY traffic rules:

If you do brake check someone, as Mr. Cruz did to the SUV, you may be cited for reckless driving, reckless endangerment, improper stopping, and impeding traffic. Police have charged Cruz with reckless endangerment, among other charges, for his brake checking action.

Of course, you can always say you were stopping because a cat ran out in front of you. Fortunately, we have the incident on video to prove this was not the case.

People really need to start checking their facts before posting, you look like a fool when you dont.

What I don't get, and excuse me if I'm wrong on this because I'm not familiar with New York's laws (I live in Louisiana), but at the part in the video where it shows everyone stopped (right before the SUV driver "gunned it"), NONE of the bikers were on the shoulder; just stopped right in the middle of a busy highway. So if the biker was walking in front of the SUV – wouldn't that be considered as 'jay-walking'? Anyhow, Gloria Allred really never surprises me. For the most part she seems to be an attention-fame-seeking-amberlance-chasing type of lawyer. I bet ya that's why she 'offered her services' to them because its a sure way to get her name in print and mentioned even if she [knows she'll] loose in court. About 96% feel the SUV driver was the innocent victim here and end of story. The video shows it. End of story. And not to bring up the gun thing, but yeah – these fools are lucky they didn't pull that sh!t down here in Louisiana. If they did, and it was someone who has a concealed weapons permit; they would have been shot at close range.

You may be from Louisiana, but you are correct. As I posted the above NY traffic laws, you are NOT allowed to just stop your vehicle on a highway for no reason (this doesn't include being broken down or being behind stopped traffic). In an accident, you are still required to move to the right hand shoulder. The SUV was unable to do this, as he was surrounded by bikers. You are also not allowed to walk on a highway anywhere in the state of new york – this includes the parkway which they were on.

I can hopefully clarify a few things. First the initial "accident" is part of a game they play. They ride in a huge group and will operate together to slow down traffic. Next they pick out high end vehicles targeting people with families in them, the targets will usually be white or Asian. Then one of the riders will do a " brake check" and stop suddenly in front of the target vehicle causing a minor bump. In some cases they will just roll back into their target vehicle . They will then mob the vehicle demanding money and or begin attacking the person inside. It is their practice to also slash the tires to prevent the vehicle from escaping. Truckers are well aware of them and are advised not to stop. PRAISE THE LORD THAT MR. Mieses CAN NO LONGER DO HARM TO OTHERS!! THANK YOU MR. LIEN!

Good to know, Gloria. Next time I go to Banana Republic, I'll stuff a couple of shirts in my jacket and then go up to the cashier with another one for them to ring up. When they accuse me of shoplifting, I'll reply, "No, it's not shoplifting, because I'm paying for THIS shirt."

Marti must be just a biker troll. The bikers purposefully caused the "bump" with Lien. Lien DID stop, but then those very same bikers surrounded his car and tried to break the glass NEAR HIS DAUGHTER and slashed his tires. Um... You don't stay there and call 911, you flee! Mieses was a thug with a rap sheet and knew what this group was about. He got what he deserved. Most sane people just wish Lien crippled more of these low life thugs. This Dayana lady and Gloria just see $$$.

I think that even if there is a hint of Lien hitting another motorcycle and fleeing the scene a few miles prior to running into the back of Cruz then it could blow this entire thing wide open and turn it on its head.

It is all too easy to make assumptions without having all the evidence. This is currently a very ugly trial by media in the absence of full facts. We should wait and see what the Grand Jury come back with before closing our minds to the possibilities. This is the US and not some despot banana republic – we have rule of law and we don't hang people out to dry without full and fair process.

Me, I am still sitting on the fence and refuse to be suckered in to a frenzyby the media as many have been... not at least until all the videos, all the statements and all the eye witness evidence is heard. Only then will anyone really understand the full chain of events.

You know why there are not enough 'evidence' videos on the web and even the thug upload the original video pulled it out of youtube along with several other footages showing their illegal driving patterns through the event and before the incident? One more hint, the thug was not the only one wearing go-pro on his helmet. There are serval thugs having cameras on their helmets (shown in a still picture at the beaten up scene). I'd more than happy if NYPD will have all footages from every single of them, so that the facts will come to public much faster.

It's OK to be on the fence about this until everything is said and done in terms of legal process, but here are a few things you should consider:

The police have stated that the SUV was being beaten and the passenger tire slashed when it initially stopped after hitting Cruz's back wheel. This will be used as evidence in any trial. You can also see from the original video a biker beating on the SUV driver door when it stopped, and a lot of commotion around the passenger side. You have the right to defend yourself in a hostile situation, even more so when your wife and child are in danger.

Also consider similar cases where someone/multiple people are injured, innocent and criminal alike: If a robber is holding up a convenience store, and the clerk pulls out a gun and fires back and hits an innocent bystander – the ROBBER can be charged with [attempted]murder/manslaughter, for it was his actions that lead to the cause of injury/death. I wouldn't be surprised if you see Cruz and other cyclists in this case being charged with what happened to Meise.

Problem is, there isn't any such hint. So far, no one else has claimed to have been hit by lien. And the video picks up just as they're approaching the SUV from the rear. Lien hadn't been driving amongst them to have hit anyone. And Mr. Cruz claims that he never had any intention of stopping him or slowing him down.

But let's suppose that there is something to that. A biker flash mob should shut down the Hudson Parkway and apprehend the guy? Can't imagine what could go wrong with that.

Why does every article refer to Dayana Meija as his "wife"??? She is his baby momma, of a 15 year old no less. In 15 years this fine upstanding man didn't marry the mother of his children, but lived with her the whole time? I've seen some of the tweets by both of these people and their comments and language are incredibly foul. Both Meise and Meija are ghetto trash and looking for a big payout.

According to Gloria Allred in this interview with Piers Morgan, her team’s investigation revealed that before what we’ve all seen on the now-infamous video, Lien supposedly hit a few other motorcyclists (2 or 3 - I got a bit confused by what she was saying). Surely, this claim and all others will be proved or disproved, thanks in no small part to footage from literally thousands of CCTV cameras and other sensors scattered throughout Manhattan, and all of the videos submitted by witnesses to the NYPD.

Is Gloria Allred perpetuating the lie that Jay and the tatty woman is married? Supposedly, that girlfriend covered for Jay in 2004 when he was arrested for cocaine possession! No matter how much she tries to scrub herself clean and dress conservatively, she still looks like an untrustworthy, dirty druggie. You can see it in her face. Like Tupac said "I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6." Lien exercised a lot of restraint by not running more bikers over because it was his intent to flee for safety. If his intent was to go vigilante and harm the bikers then he would have been riding more erratically to cause more damage. Clearly that was not the case. And lastly, who would want to take on an army of bikers when you are driving with your wife and 2 year old!!!!

The whole situation sucks and could have been avoided. It's a shame people were injured. But the blame falls 100 percent on all the motorcyclist that were involved in this ride. And Edwin should have never been there in the first place since he doesn't have a license.
Gloria Allred is very ignorant and delusional! She can't answer a simple question honestly. Thank god the child wasn't injured it this would be even a bigger mess.

Wat so called lawyer Gloria has no point in this case.... Mr Lien has 100% right to fear for the life of his toddler , his wife and himself from the sea of these gangsters. Thus he has all rights in the world to protect his family by driving away from those losers. They smashed his windows near where his toddler was, they tried to flatten his tire....who know what they will do next.... Possibly they will get killed if Mr Lien did not drive away. Gloria thinks by simply horning will make these losers go away. Lien's family will be in great danger if they listened to her advise. STUPID......

  34. Fairness for all

I admire Ms. Gloria's guts to represent the injured motorist in this case. When a reasonable standard is established in the case, it may put her client into the group of innocent bystanders instead of the aggressors. In addition, the claimed instance of prior confrontation between Mr. Lien and the motorists might prove to be crucial and put Mr. Lien's self-defense claim in doubt since the initial aggressor might not rely on self-defense in a civil trial in New York. When the dust settles and all evidence comes out, those who caused injuries to others when breaking their duties will have to pay.

Funny how Ms. Allred has an "investigation" into the incidents leading up to the moment of contact between Lien and Cruz, and makes a big deal about what she alleges Mr. Lien did that isn't on video. However, when it comes time to discuss the FACTS (not simply allegations) that Meezee had never possessed a valid license and is seen on video breaking several laws while participating in an illegal rally, suddenly its "not relevant". Funny how that works.

  36. Allred's twisted trust

I cannot believe that Ms. Allred can make these claims with a straight face. The evidence is overwhelmingly against her statements that up until the point that the driver had driven off, nothing had happened yet. The video shows that there is one motorcyclist striking the vehicle – and that's just what you see. You need to enlarge it, but it's there. Watch it here: We don't know what's happening on the other side, but you do see the vehicle shaking. Secondly, look at the Facebook account of one of the people arrested: Says very clearly that the vehicle was being attacked. It's infuriating that someone as respected as Gloria Allred could try to make a false claim (it's a lie, let's face it...she knows what the truth is).

First of all, allow me to offer my deepest sympathies to Mr. Piers. Regardless he was intending to help Mr. Lien or not, he didn’t deserve to be crushed.
Can Mr. Lien have done something different? Absolutely. Will Mr. Lien and his family be ok if he didn’t do anything? Most likely. Should Mr. Lien stay in the car and wait for the police? Possibly. Can Mr. Lien think of another way to protect his family at that moment? Not likely. The most important question of all in this sad, sad story is: should Mr. Piers at that place at that time? Definitely not.
In my opinion, one can’t complain getting shot in a bank’s vault when tagging along with his friends who were robbing the bank.

God speed and best wishes, Ms. Allred on taking this case. I, sincerely, hope Mr. Lien gets the book thrown at him for taking the law into his own hands and running over people because he felt threatened when all along he was the one responsible and for 2 miles prior to running over Mr. Meise, his trying to take out a few other bikers. I guess he feels he has a good excuse, road rage or jealousy as he was hitting bikers left and right prior the video showing one of the bikers go into his lane and to running over Mr. Meise. I pray for Mr. Meise and even though he did not have a license to ride, he still has rights as a pedestrian not to get squashed by a 3,000 lb Deadly Weapon. I bet if any of the people on here against Mr. Meise called the police and said, "I feel my neighbors are going to kill me and my family because they are standing outside my house and banging on my door asking me to respect their right to live in the neighborhood and they want me to stop continually going over to their houses to egg them on and start crap !" I am sure the police would advise him that they will not be able to do anything unless these neighbors actually harm him or his family. This person does not take into account what he has done to start the HOT MESS but he would like to get rid of his neighbors all the this threatened person goes out and shoots and kills or maims a few of them who were just standing there and says I was afraid for my life and I have the weapon so I can take down these defenseless people who have no weapon and I will get away with it!! Come on, you people, who already hate the bikers, you are so mentally challenged and one-sided, at the end of the day, Mr. Lien needs to be charged with attempted manslaughter or greater. Mr. Lien needs to learn that all have a right to be on the highway whether he likes it or not. Is he going to get away with running someone over in cold blood because his victim does not have a drivers license or is in the way of his fleeing the scene? Mr. Lien needs to learn to respect other vehicles and their drivers especially when you have your family with you, you never know when you will run into, as The Doors wrote, The KILLER on the ROAD, who will not just beat you but take you and your family out. Ms. Allred, I am all for you and this case, i pray you win and I pray that Jay is miraculously healed and Mrs. Meise, beautiful lady, be strong and do not lose the faith that justice will prevail. May I ask you to please make your gotofund to help with the expenses more accessible, as I was not able to find it. Any comments on my comment will not be debated so...

Horrible analogy, but I'll play along:

You cannot be on my private property banging on my door threatening my life. I have the right to defend myself. If you feel that I have committed a crime or violated the law then you have to only the right to report it the police.
You bringing a gang over to exact mob justice open the door for me to use lethal force to defend myself.
I the neighbors were proper citizens and used lawful protocol I wouldn't have to be in a position to possibly use lethal force to defend my private space.

You state that maybe Mr. Lien was jealous of J. Meezee ?? Sure, I can see that... Here are the stats: Mr. Lien, investment banker, driving a 50k Range Rover, Married, owns home, has valid License, registration, insurances on home, and auto. Spending day celebrating his Anniversary. Now lets look at what Mr. J. Mieses has that Lien might be jealous about. 20+ year criminal record, no license, banned from getting one u til 2017 btw, multiple Felonies, drug convictions, no registration on bike, no insurgence on said bike, bike funded by the taxpayers of MA, a female that he can't even be bothered to marry, nor love enough to marry even after 17 years and 2 kids together, an "up and coming rapper", a 6 page criminal history not including his Juvie record, and the brains of a drug addict. I am sure that that jealously caused Mr. Lien to mow down this fine upstanding family man, no doubt. I think you are more delusional since your drug dealer is in the hospital, and will actually and for once legitimately needing the drugs. Mieses was in the act of committing several new felonies when he put himself In front of the terrorized family. Video proves that less than 10 seconds prior to the hit, Mieses was driving, which is a felony! He was NOT mistakenly teleported to the front, there by BLOCKING the RR, which is entrapment (also a felony). So, where is the drug test result for Mieses? When will he be charged with new felony driving charges, restraining people against heir will, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Let's just be thankful that these guys filmed this and published the video. Think about how difficult the judicial process would be without that evidence. I know of a relatively recent high profile shooting incident in Florida that really could have benefited from some video evidence. This really should make it easier to prosecute those who are truly responsible.

How she is spinning this is horrible. Having a broken spine myself, I am very sorry for Mr Mieses and pray for his recovery. However, this country has gotten so weak. I'm fed up. It's time that people are accountable for their actions and understand that there will always be consequences for poor decisions. Shame on Gloria Allred! Meezee got injured, which was unfortunate, but that does not mean he was innocent - he shouldn't have been there in the first place! Arguing that he was not on the bike at the moment of being hit is just ridiculous. On the other hand, there was nothing wrong for Lien, out of fear, to try to get away from a mob who were terrorizing his wife and young daughter. Anyone would have done that in the same situation!!

Great interview Pierce! I have a few follow up questions though.
    1. How did Mieses end up there, in front of the Range Rover if he was not already in the act of committing even more felony driving offenses, by driving through 2 States?
    2. We're there any drug tests done on either Mr. Lien or Mieses? What were the results?
    3. What are the Social programs that the Mieses are on? Welfare? WIC?,EBT? SSI? section 8? How long have they been receiving these?
    4. What is the driving record of Mr. Lien? Does this man even have a parking ticket? (I am guessing the answer is No, because Gloria would have mentioned that he has a driving infraction.).
    5. How did Mieses end up being the only biker in the hospital, IF Mr. Lien was out to run over bikers? As many bikers that there were there, I would think that if he was trying to plow through all the bikers, that it wouldn't of been too hard to hit 20 more bikers.
    5. Where is all this other evidence, video, etc..? One interviewed man states that he has another 4+ hours of video, prior to this video but hasn't had time to view it yet. Apparently, he doesn't have the time to make a copy of the video, from 2 separate cameras and send it to the Cops or the media outlets, to clear the bikers and prove that it was all The RR fault.
    6. IF this new video does come out, would it be suspected of being edited because it is weeks later?

I just saw the 10/07/2013 Piers Morgan clip where he interviews Gloria Allred and the wife of Edwin Mieses. While I think it is a tradegy that Mr. Mieses was severely injured during the event that happened, he should have been OBEYING the law before the incident occurred ! What I mean by obeying the law: he was not supposed to be on the road riding his motorcycle AT ALL ! ...... because #1: he didn't have, nor has ever applied for, a license to drive a motorcycle on a public road, and #2: his license (or permit) to drive a motor vehicle has not been valid since was revoked, and he was recently arrested for that very fact. He was breaking the law, people ! Breaking the law is NOT OBEYING the law ! Had he not been out on the road, riding his motorcycle, he wouldn't have found himself where he's at today, right now, paralyzed ! Ms. Allred doesn't have a leg to stand on in this case ! Good luck, Gloria !
